I cannot say enough great things about The Hawthorn. We were EXTREMELY lucky to get married there in New Year’s Eve in 2025 - their first NYE wedding. This venue is no joke. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Our idea for our NYE wedding was a minimalistic, black and white old Hollywood/1920’s type of vibe. With some gold and emerald sprinkled in for some NYE flare. If that’s what you’re looking for - this venue is for you. The customizable nature of this space was everything, and in tandem with my day-of coordinator, my vision came to life perfectly. Samantha and team were wonderful and very responsive. It was a pleasure to work with her. I grew up on the seacoast and to be able to have my wedding at this venue, in a city I love so much, was an absolute privilege. It was the best day of my life, and The Hawthorn was one of the biggest parts of that.
This is the venue that Portsmouth, NH has needed for years. The Loft style space is impeccable with the most amazing details and accents. The staff is the absolute best and is so responsive. This is the place you want to get married if you want a unique venue that is temperature controlled and truly customizable. If I could give them ten stars, I would.
