The Hawthornes

Jeff and his band, the Weekend Rock Gods (WRG) were such a GREAT addition to our wedding. Found them online a couple months out from our wedding and so happy we did. Jeff was super easy to coordinate with over phone, text, or email. They livened up the party and gave us the fun of a live band without the exorbitant fees of a "wedding band". We wanted our older guests to stick around after dinner and the band helped, with some great classics and such a positive energy. They worked with both my sister and my groom to do a couple songs each which made it even more special. The Weekend Rock Gods have a fun playlist and were great with learning some more songs that meant a lot to us. They did all of our first dances, "I love you more today than yesterday" by Spiral Staircase, "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morrison, "Don't stop" by Fleetwood Mac and made them very special. They got there nice and early for setup, disappeared for a bit between setup and cocktail hour and rocked the night away. All of the band mates were so nice and eager to be a part of the event and I'm eternally grateful we had them. They really merged all the generations and made for an extra fun wedding! They were also great as we transitioned to our iPod playlist, with no awkward gaps and they departed very discretely. As with all weddings, schedules get moved around a bit and the WRG were flexible and accommodating minimizing our stress, which was greatly appreciated. While being a backyard wedding, they made it a nice mix of hanging out with friends but much more special than a BBQ.
