Rachel was absolutely amazing! She made me feel like the most beautiful bride on my special day! I am not one to wear a lot of makeup and she just knew what to do to enhance my features and bring out everything I have naturally! She was extremely punctual and super fast to respond to any of my questions! She is just as sweet as she is talented! I also liked that her prices are fair and she even came to me for my trial! Rachel and Diana did the makeup and hair for my wedding day at the end of March. They also did my bridal party. They transformed all the women in my bridal party and were we so impressed at how skilled and talented these 2 lovely ladies are. Rachel and her hairstylist are amazing!! I was a bridesmaid at a wedding this weekend. She did my makeup, it was elegant and not caked on and lasted till the end of the night. I used Rachel and the Heart of Makeup team for my hair and makeup for myself, 7 bridesmaids, grandmothers, and mothers. They were so professional, friendly, and efficient! Everyone was done ahead of schedule and looked amazing! They were very flexible as well, the mother and grandmother of the groom were at a different hotel and Rachel sent stylists there as well to get them ready. The team took the time to see what colors and styles each girl preferred and made sure everyone was happy. I had my trial a few months prior with Rachel and Annette (hair) who did a beautiful job replicating the Pinterest photos I showed them! I had a difficult time deciding on what hairstyle to go with so I had a second trial with Annette and she again did exactly what I wanted and even took the time to redo my hair when I wanted to try it the part further over. I was very happy with my experience and I highly recommend using Heart of Makeup for yourself and wedding party, you wont be disappointed!

Rachel has a zen-like calm about her which is so helpful and needed in stressful events. Her calm, coupled with such professionalism makes for a winning combination. I felt like I was in such good hands, literally and metaphorically. When she was done I looked over and loved, just loved my makeup, especially my eyes! I also loved the little bag she gives you at the end, which has your lip shade, some q-tips, some blotting paper, tissue, and floss. Adorable and helpful. I was a little bit nervous when it came to the hair & makeup for my wedding because I am pretty low maintenance and I was so worried about not looking like myself on my wedding day. When I expressed my concerns with Rachel, she knew exactly what to do and the results were AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist. She made me feel so beautiful while still feeling like myself. Rachel brought on Genevieve to do my hair, and she was wonderful as well! I was pretty particular and sensitive about what kind of hairstyle looked good on me, and Genevieve knocked it out of the park on the FIRST TRY during the trial. Both the hair and makeup lasted all day and night, even in 85 degree heat outside (that was another thing I was worried about). Rachel is very professional and on top of things. She and Genevieve showed up on time and stuck with the schedule. My bridesmaids are very low maintenance and none of them really knew what kind of hair/makeup they wanted, but Rachel and Genevieve did a wonderful job of helping them decide and making them look like elevated versions of themselves. I only wish they could do my hair & makeup more often!!! :)

Thank you Rachel for doing such a superb job on my make up for my son's wedding. I couldn't be happier with Rachel's amazing work on my wedding day this summer! From our first meeting/mock-up to the big day, I knew that Rachel would work for me and my bridal party. Not only is she a talented make-up artist, but her warmth, calmness and ease was exactly what we needed as we got ready! As for the make-up--we couldn't be happier! The looks she created worked seamlessly as we transitioned from late afternoon to night, with flawless make-up looking fabulous after hours of wear (and dancing, and sweating...let's be real). She picked eye and lip colors that worked with the overall aesthetic, and matched each woman's beautiful natural complexion. Included in her package were eye lashes, which looked voluptuous and natural. She was also great with being happy to do "just eyes" for some and full face for others--gotta love flexibility! We loved working with Rachel and highly recommend her!

Rachel will be the least stressful part of planning and executing a wedding. She did the makeup for myself and the rest of my bridal party and everything couldn't have gone smoother. She was extremely accommodating during the scheduling of the trial and on the day of, made sure everyone was satisfied with their how their hair and makeup came out. I felt like myself in the makeup I was wearing and not overly caked on. Wearing the makeup throughout the wedding was very comfortable on my face and she made my mom look like a movie star. Spending time with her team during the day was the most relaxing part of the wedding. Ten out of ten would recommend.

EXTRAORDINARY! Rachel is a very talented make-up artist and is equally as gifted @ understanding each one of her client's personal style for the occasion. Her sweet, sensitive and soulful nature combined with her creativity, is the perfect combination for any occasion. Recently, Rachel was hired to do the make-up for the bridal party for my son's wedding. As the mother of the groom, I could not have been happier with how Rachel listened to what I wanted (and didn't want!) and made it happen with gentle strokes, a warm smile and a genuine soulful spirit. She even did some last minute tweaking which was much appreciated! I received countless compliments on my makeup from family and friends. Most people know me as someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup! This is an especially important testament to a makeup artist who truly reads their client. Lastly, my daughter (a bridal party member) who does her own make-up all the time and is very particular, loved Rachel's work as well! Rachel and her Team were amazing! I had eight bridesmaids, two flower girls, two Mothers as well as myself to all get done up - a lot of people to move around - but Rachel and her team kept us on schedule and we all were done on time and looked perfect. Rachel even worked with me on a last minute changes from what was chosen at the makeup/hair trial. I highly recommend The Heart of Makeup for any event! I will definitely use them again for special events.

Rachel did my make up for the wedding day and she did the most incredible job ever!!! She is so talented and she knew exactly what to do to highlight the good features on my face. She was so patient and helpful in the process of making the decision what type of make up should I wear on my big day and I was EXTREMELY pleased with her advice and all the help! I decided last minute to hire a hair and makeup team for my wedding and Rachel was extremely patient in helping us sort out all the details. Her team was extremely efficient, and everyone looked beautiful, but not overdone. A perfect look for our perfect day!

I was nervous enough for my first date and being the kind of girl who doesn't wear much makeup I was even more nervous to get dolled up for the play we were about to go see. Rachel understood exactly how to bring out my natural features in a way I could never do. She brought me to tears when I saw myself in the mirror because I knew he would see me through her eyes too. The makeup stayed on all day and ALL night, the proof is in the pictures where we all look fabulous. Rachel Pagan was my makeup artist for my wedding. Not only did I feel beautiful on my wedding day but Rachel was so helpful and professional, leading up to and on my wedding day. It is interesting when you are planning an event like a wedding how many people you will try to contact that will just simply never get back to you. Rachel responded immediately to my emails, calls, and text messages. That type of communication made me feel that she was on top of things, and she was. We did a trial run for my makeup ahead of time which I was very happy with. I have oily skin and I was worried that my makeup would not last all day. For my trial we did makeup early in the day and I wore it all day to see what the results would be…. Perfection! My makeup lasted all day, and I was already getting compliments. Rachel sent me a schedule ahead of time for everyone getting makeup done on wedding day. I wanted to pay in advance, so that I did not have to worry about that the day of, and was able to do so online which was very convenient. On wedding day Rachel and another makeup artist Taryn came out to our venue, set up quickly and started right away. Not only did I enjoy watching my friends have their makeup done (they all looked incredible!) but the atmosphere was just so fun. When it was time to get my makeup done, Rachel was ready to go, she remembered what we had discussed at our trial run and by the time I was done I felt amazing. She gave all of us little touch up kits to stay fresh for the entire day. We were all ready to go for pictures and I felt great! Oh and I forgot to mention that Rachel did all of this in August 100 degree weather 8 ½ month pregnant!! I can’t thank Rachel enough for the work that she did on my wedding day to make me feel special and beautiful. My makeup stayed all night despite the afore mentioned 100 degrees! If you have the opportunity to have Rachel as your makeup artist for your event I highly recommend you do so, you will not be disappointed!

Rachel did my wife's make-up for our wedding day... obviously she always looks amazing but on this day Rachel made her look even more amazing! As an actress, I have requested rachel on jobs that I have because I know that she will help me to look my best. In addition to her expertise, she is warm and giving and makes you feel relaxed even in a hectic day. She is willing to give her advice, but always allows you to be a part in what you like knowing that you need to feel good in your make-up. I would take Rachel everywhere 💞

I have worked with award winning make up artists and absolutely no one has done my make up so beautifully! I felt confident for the shoot.
