My now husband and I got married in the middle of October (2021) at the Hedges and it was just the absolute perfect wedding for us. The grounds are absolutely stunning (we did a tented wedding!), the inn itself is so special because it is this old, historic place but everything is so clean and up to date, and Jenny (the inn keeper) and the rest of the staff are wonderful to work with. The was the perfect mix of quaint and cozy, but also elegant and beautiful. The food was also delicious, especially the morning brunch!! I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for something a little less traditional than a hall. Oh, and the rooms in the inn are gorgeous, it was so fun having it all to our wedding party and the beds are honestly one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! The entire weekend was really just perfect.
I wish I could put zero stars here. I booked time to inquire about hosting my wedding at The Hedges Inn. The event director not only did not show up to the call, but never informed me that he would be late or not able to make it. So I called the hotel, and spoke to the innkeeper Jenny who was unbelievably rude, condescending, and could not be bothered by me. Spoke down to me like I was a complete idiot, like I WAS THE EMPLOYEE THAT DIDN'T SHOW UP to a potential sale. You are in hospitality, learn some manners. How dare I call your inn and ask for a more detailed breakdown. Shame on me for wanting to know more about your services. GLADLY will spend that LARGE chunk of change somewhere else.
My husband and I were lucky enough to get married at the Hedges Inn in May 2017. Not only are the grounds breathtaking, rooms wonderfully kept and the food spectacular- the staff is beyond welcoming and accommodating. The property was stunning and the perfect place to execute our dream wedding. The set up is as if it was made for weddings! A stunning old tree to get married under, a gorgeous patio for cocktail hour and an unbeatable reception area. They let you run wild with the decor of your dreams. Not to mention the serene surrounding created some picturesque magazine-worthy wedding photos!
Inn Keepers, Jenny and her husband, Marcos are such wonderful people, they make you feel as though the Hedges Inn is your home, if even if it is just for a few magical days. My family rented out the entire Inn for a long weekend and have nothing but rave reviews of their stay. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here, in fact- you'll only be disappointed you weren't able to stay longer.
My partner (now wife!!) and I were married at The Hedges at the end of September. I cannot say enough about our experience. Every detail was exactly as we hoped it would be! The Hedges is a beautiful and charming country inn, and maintains its quaintness, despite it's tony and fabulous East Hampton location, a quick walk/bike from the magnificent Main Beach. The property is gorgeous and understated in the best ways! The rooms are tasteful and cozy! The property offered everything we needed: a fabulous lawn and barn for the backdrop for a pre-nup clam bake, cozy bar for our guests to gather in the evening, a gorgeous garden where we set our chuppah and held our outdoor ceremony and cocktails. The patio and dining area were perfect for our party. Even an intimate room for ketubah ceremony. And as good as all that, the innkeepers: Jenn and Marcos, are incredible: warm, helpful, kind, friendly. They run a fabulous inn, and to top it all off, Jenn and staff cook a killer breakfast! I cannot recommend The Hedges any more highly, and will return regularly to visit!!
Truly an amazing experience. Proposed to my fiance during one of our evenings at the Hedges Inn, and the staff could not have been more helpful and hospitable. Jenny and her staff helped plan the surprise in their beautiful garden, even staying late to help coordinate the moment. The rooms are immaculate, and the breakfast is something that you should definitely wake up for in the morning. Will be coming back to relive our memories.
Always passed by the Hedges for over 30 years, and never went inside. The two swans in the pond are a gorgeous backdrop to a very romantic spot in the heart of the Hamptons.
Highly recommended for a Fall wedding. The brunch was incredible, and something you see in magazines.
I cannot say enough how great Jen is! She is amazing.
My husband and I spent a few nights at the Hedges Inn for our mini-moon following our NYC wedding. We loved everything about it!
The location is perfect, the Inn is beautiful, the living rooms and sitting areas are cozy and inviting, and the bedroom we stayed in (the Oyster Room) was fabulous!!
Ann was an amazing hostess, taking care of every request and serving the most divine multi-course breakfasts we've ever tasted!
We enjoyed borrowing bicycles and taking a ride around the beautiful estates in the area. And the beach is such a short walk away, it was incredibly convenient. With fantastic restaurants, great vineyards, and excellent shopping right nearby, we can't wait to come back!!
We highly recommend the Hedges Inn to everyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing escape - before, during, or after a wedding!
