Aileen was our main coordinator, but there were other people there for the rehearsal and ceremony/reception: Tina, Linda, Jacob.... all friendly, calm, happy for us, and eager to make everything go smoothly. We are from out of state, so we actually hadn't seen Lovett Hall until the rehearsal or done a tasting. From the people working with us, the 3D walkthrough videos, and the reviews we'd seen online, we were confident everything would be fine. It was more than fine--a wonderful surprise for us as well as our guests.

Because of Amy's professionalism, responsiveness, and patience with my daily and endless questions, I knew that the evening would be handled without a hitch.  Our family and friends are still raving about the wedding service and reception.   The location is iconic. The wedding in the Martha-Mary Chapel will always be foremost in my mind's eye - the chapel itself is special and beautiful.  As they exit the chapel with the view of the Village Green and surrounded by family and friends, the newlyweds ring the bell cast by Paul Revere's son. That is another lasting memory.  If you have a smaller guest list, don't be put off by the word "Tavern" in using the Eagle Tavern. The Tavern is iconic; the historic feel of the Tavern is part of the experience, especially for a couple who love history.  We've all been to endless receptions at banquet halls, but staying with the historic nature of Greenfield Village made the night seem like a step back to a time and place where the gathering of family and friends was the special part of the experience.  So with a beautiful and historic wedding service and reception location, you will want to consider the quality of the food: in short, incredible. One table called the chef over to ask how the braised short ribs were cooked to such perfection. It is also a touch of whimsy to offer options of iconic Detroit desserts such as Faygo Floats, it was a way to show a little local pride. Typically, no one remembers the wedding food, but in this case the food has been mentioned over and over to us.  But again, I must stress that the Event Manager (Amy K) was incredible all during the planning, and the Banquet Manager (Jamie) made the reception itself run perfectly.  This is entirely a point to my specific personality, but Amy could understand my humor, such that I did not feel like I was working with a distant staff just doing their job, but rather someone who understood how I handle the stress. The most important aspect is that my daughter and new son-in-law have repeatedly thanked us for putting together a wedding that far exceeded their dreams.  It wasn't a wedding that depended on table decorations, favors, or little signs we made for various tables (gifts, favors, etc.), it was the experience of the surroundings - meaning it was not what you bring to the wedding to decorate, it is pre-decorated with the historic nature of Greenfield Village itself.

Our own experience was simply magical - not only were the recommended vendors a dream to work with but the staff went above and beyond to be helpful and actively worked with us at all stages of the process. Even things like bending the rules slightly so we could have my fiancé’s family’s favorite candy as the wedding favors and learning canceled RSVPs were coming the night before and having to scramble to make sure there were seating and plates for them caused barely a ripple before they had it all taken care of behind the scenes. One of the most amazing experiences ever!

ford seemed to be more worth the money for a wedding I planned. I had wonderful people helping me and answered all my questions along the way. Somer was my even my coordinator and helped me step by step until the big day! Everyone was so nice and the event staff the day of were very attentive and understanding. Literally one of the best experiences that I will never forget.

Somer would take us around the museum during meetings so we could physically see potential layout plans, and she was also there during our tasting, which was extremely helpful, as she explained every possible dish and the modifications/combinations that could be made to them. You can tell she cares deeply about the museum and the couples who get married there. On our wedding day, she checked in and introduced us to Jason, our wedding day banquet manager. Jason was very excited to ensure everything went smoothly during the reception, and he even introduced us to the chef who made all the meals. The chef was professional and knowledgeable of his trade, and we felt honored to meet him. We had several guests who were gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc., and the chef/museum staff were able to accommodate everyone. My husband, myself, and the other guests who did not have special requests ate a delicious tender filet with creamy potatoes and beautifully colored vegetables. Even the sweet workers who ushered guests in and fluffed my dress right before I walked down the aisle were a joy to work with. I recommend getting married at The Henry Ford Museum 100 times over. All the staff were incredible to work with; if you get married there, every aspect of it will be perfect.

I appreciated her compassion when my grandfather was able to make it last minute. We had enough wheelchairs and the staff assisted with making sure people were where they needed to be. From the manager, our server, the bartenders and the entire staff, everyone was so attentive without being overbearing. A quote from my family “It’s like they read our minds and there they were.” No one felt as if they were hovered over but all of their needs were met. We can’t forget to mention the food!! It was absolutely amazing! It was just like our tasting and did not disappoint. This venue was perfect for us and we are looking forward to coming back to visit often, possibly even a membership. rofessional, friendly and timely in their communication when it came to planning the event, and on the day of the reception itself the venue's service was amazing. I would highly recommend Lovett Hall as a venue. The only thing I would keep in mind is that because the building is historical you are limited in terms of flashy entrance ideas - no sparklers, confetti, rice etc. Ultimately this is not a huge deal. They also do not have an internal audio system so a DJ has to bring all of their own equipment.

Somer and the events team were incredibly responsive and kept us on track (and relieved we weren't behind!). Lovett Hall was a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and reception and the team made sure every detail was how we envisioned it. The food was spectacular. Most of the time, wedding plated dinners tend to be "Acceptable" but every single guest went out of their way to let us know that the meals were delicious, regardless of meal choice. The afterglow snacks and food were also a HUGE hit. It was a blessing to have both the catering and venue set the bar so high. Also helpful were the ceremony and reception on-site coordinators to ensure smooth service throughout. Our vendors also had nothing but compliments about their interactions with THF staff. We would recommend THF to anyone looking for a unique, gorgeous venue.

s as well. I knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps, so my husband and I started working with the staff at THF soon after our engagement. Every person we worked with was very professional, kind, and supportive through all parts of the process. Our event manager, Somer, was such a blessing to work with and made everything so easy and stress free! The staff that were at the chapel on the day of the wedding guided us smoothly through the events of the ceremony. The food at Eagle’s Tavern was something to rave about! So many guests shared how great the dinner was; especially the potatoes. My husband and I were assigned our very own server who never let our glasses go empty. It was the best day of our lives, and we are so thankful for the care that was given to us by The Henry Ford!

fect. From the very first interaction with the planning team over a year ago, we felt so well taken care of. We were lucky enough to work with Samantha to make our wedding vision come to life, and she was spectacular. She was prompt with responses, helpful with suggestions, and flexible with meeting our requests. The service team on the day of was no less helpful. Our ceremony coordinators, Donna and Jessica were helpful and kept everything on track with a smile on their faces. Alex, our banquet manager was efficient and friendly and ensured perfect service all night long. The venue is absolutely stunning and the grounds were immaculate for our wedding day. It took our breath away to walk into the ballroom for a "first look" and see everything come together, including our upgraded plateware and glassware. The food is what really put our wedding over the top. We were excited after our tasting, but we wondered if they'd really be able to pull off a filet and chicken for 170 people. Boy, did they. We got rave reviews from many guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. From the incredible passed apps and display station to entrees, the dessert bar, and of course, the late-night Coney dogs and tater tots, everything was spectacular! We'll never be able to fully capture how special we were made to feel by the entire team at The Henry Ford and how grateful we'll forever be that they made our wedding day so perfect!

Donna and her staff were over the top supportive, with an entire crew ensuring that prewedding set up was completely thorough (site visit, tasting of food and deserts, rehearsal complete with several staff on hand to ensure it went smoothly). The wedding itself--the food, the staff, the drinks and the ambience, made for a perfect evening. The ceremony in the garden, surrounded by flowers, was lovely. Then--you share drinks in the large first floor lobby, you step up the lush staircase to enjoy dinner, dance on the floor, chat on the balcony, linger with guests near the stunning staircase.... So many told us it was simply the best wedding they had ever attended. Photogenic without needing much additional in decor, and with staff checking every step of the way to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, (including a few last minute changes) made it an easy fun night for this bride. As an older couple we wanted elegance and a bit of history, and it was perfect.

r, I wish that I could have their chef cook us food more often. Many of our guests commented that it was the best steak they'd ever had! It is a gorgeous place to get married. We even rented a Model T to drive us around Greenfield Village to take pictures. We felt like royalty being driven around by Ray with everyone waving to us, in addition to getting some gorgeous photos in the Village. I look forward to being able to host some other type of event in some part of The Henry Ford some time in the future!

he museum for beautiful picture locations for hours with our wedding party prior to the reception! My fiancé and I are avid book readers and the 100% selling point was the library on the first floor under the ballroom which was amazing for pictures too! Just an incredible night and experience and would recommend readily :)

t have chosen a better venue. Having the entire museum open for guests was very fun. The food was so delicious, and the staff were the best! The chef even prepared a special dessert for my daughter and son-in-law. So totally unexpected! The level of service was beyond compare. All of our guests loved it. It really was the best day ever!

Aileen, Dawna, and the whole wedding planning team were extremely helpful and supportive. I asked a lot of, what I thought, were "stupid" questions and they answered every one with patience and understanding. We had changes through out and the team was flexible and able to make it all happen. The Chef was incredible as were the other staff members that were there the day of the wedding. Such a wonderful experience and we know how lucky we are and how much the team at Lovett Hall had to do with it!!

ps, Tina and Nancy, to our banquet manager, Pat. Seriously, every single person was an absolute joy to work with. When I saw the reception decor, I could not believe it. It looked EXACTLY as I had pictured it, and I am a pretty particular person. We got so many compliments on our venue- on how beautiful the chapel was, the uniqueness of Eagle Tavern, and SO many compliments on how great the food was. Absolutely wonderful wedding planning experience.

I can't say enough good things about the food, the ambiance, the service, etc. etc. etc! We are so happy to be able to visit the place where we got married anytime we want, which you will never get from a regular old banquet hall! We were married at the Martha-Mary Chapel, cocktail hour at the carousel, and reception at Eagle Tavern. Highly recommended in every way, and our guests are still talking about it months later!

Samantha was always so responsive when we had questions, and we just really appreciated working with her. During the reception the service for THF staff was phenomenal, and all of our guests raved about the food (we did too, the food was fantastic). I could not recommend The Henry Ford enough. They helped make it the best day ever for us and our guests.
