Working with The Hermitage was a dream! From booking the venue to our wedding day Emily catered to our every need and was always so willing and prompt to answer any of our questions. Emily and her crew went above and beyond to make all our wedding dreams come true. They took care of everything on our wedding day and made it a totally stress free day for us and our family. They took my wedding vision and transformed The Cabin by the Springs into everything that we had dreamed of. We would highly recommend using The Hermitage for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed!
We got married there this past April! Kelli our coordinator and all her staff were on top of everything. I can’t thank them enough for doing such an amazing job from start to finish. Because of them all my Alice in Wonderland wedding dreams came true! We had such a wonderful time and all the vendors they recommended especially Two Fat Men Catering were fantastic!!! Thank you ladies for all that you do! The property is fabulous and our reception in Cabin by the Spring was beautiful. Xxo Elizabeth M.
We can’t thank Erica and her team enough for a more spectacular day!
I would recommend the Hermitage for anyone looking for a fun historical venue. Erica and her team truly made my blush and gold wedding dreams come true! They were always a phone call/email away all throughout the planning process. They took all our questions and concerns seriously, and were always able to give us an answer in a timely manner. The wedding day went flawlessly, and we truly are so grateful!
As a bride, I HIGHLY encourage getting your own personal wedding coordinator if you choose this venue. The morning of my wedding, I received multiple phone calls and texts on my cell phone from the caterer, the florist, the bakery, and the person who was delivering us lunch. They were unable to get a hold of the coordinator and needed to know where to go. They also were not able to find her once getting to the venue for when they had questions. I was finally able to get a hold of the coordinator who told me she dropped her phone in the grass. Added stress while you’re getting ready that could be prevented. She also did not hand out the corsages or boutonnières to the parents, grandparents, ring bearer, flower girls, or officiant. My mom found them in the kitchen AFTER the ceremony. There was supposed to be several employees I was told, that would be standing up front showing people where to go for the wedding. There was also supposed to be golf carts used as shuttles to assist guests to the cabin. I personally saw 6 people wandering through the area where I was getting ready. Not only did they see the bride before the ceremony but I also had to send a bridesmaid to direct them to the correct area. There was also supposed to be golf carts used as shuttles to assist guests to the cabin. There were no golf carts accessible to shuttle people. I had several elderly people who cannot walk very well who needed assistance. After not being able to get a golf cart, my brother had to personally drive my grandmother down the security lane so she could make it the ceremony. We also could not get a golf cart for me and my bridesmaids. My cousin went on a search and finally was able to get ONE golf cart (after 45 minutes of searching) to assist the bride and 3 bridesmaids as that is all that could fit. The remainder walked in heels. She also did not turn the heat on in the venue in December so several people left before we got to see them because they had children or elders with them. It was 50 degrees in the venue when the groom and I entered. The groom was the one who had to turn the heat on. No one could locate the coornidtaor during the wedding reception so all vendors continued to come to me. The list goes on....as the venue itself was gorgeous, I would not blink an eye at this location for your biggest day unless you plan to hire your own personal coordinator who can make sure everything goes as planned.
The Hermitage was an amazing place for my clients to have their wedding/reception!!! We worked with Emily who was so fun and easy to work with. The staff was there to help in anyway possible throughout the event. The grounds are amazing, well kept, and gorgeous for any event! We would love to work with the Hermitage and their staff again some day in the future! :)
The Hermitage is a wonderful place for anyone to get married! The staff was wonderful to work with and made sure my day was stress free for me and my husband and both of our families. It truly was the perfect day thanks to them!
It was a pleasure working with the folks at the Hermitage! Our day was perfect!
We loved working with the Hermitage staff! My husband and I are both historians, so we knew we wanted a historic location. This was beautiful, rustic, comfortable, and special. We could not have chosen a better venue for our dream wedding!
I had my wedding at the Tulip Grove. The venue- gorgeous. However, the staff was not helpful during the set up and on the day of the wedding. Because we did not use their coordinator, I felt it was very uncomfortable between their staff and our event planner. I felt like they were constantly telling us things we could not do and were not helpful in problem solving. My wedding turned out beautifully and exactly how I pictured, but I wish it hadn't of been so stressful on me and my family. Its an expensive venue that does not include anything.
We had our ceremony and reception at The Hermitage. It was perfect for us because we wanted a casual, historic feel to our wedding. Emily, the wedding coordinator, was a dream to work with. She was incredibly responsive via email and phone. She followed up with us about even the smallest details that we'd forgotten. She was great! We loved our ceremony and reception at The Hermitage!
I have always dreamed of an outdoor wedding and were able to make that come true at The Hermitage. When we visited the Cabin by the Spring and the grounds around it, we knew that it was the perfect location. The cabin provided shelter and air conditioning for our guests along with rustic charm. The grounds, mansion and garden provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and photos. We also hired the day-of coordinators that they offer. I would highly recommend this even if you have a wedding planner. The Hermitage coordinators know all of the "rules" and also this provides you with an event staff to pull of decorating and packing up at the end of the night. Emily was our coordinator and she worked beautifully with our wedding planner, Marc.
Everything was amazing!!! Bonnie was absolutely the best wedding coordinator to work with! The venue is so beautiful and Bonnie and her team did a phenomenal job executing all of our thoughts and plans into a dream wedding day! Everything was perfect!
We looked at a lot of venues and it was the grooms father who convinced us The Hermitage was our best option. He said other places may or may not be around in 50 years when your children want to see where you were married... the Hermitage will.
The staff at the Hermitage were very accommodating, flexible, and friendly. We were able to show our out of town guests a slice of history but still throw a down home party.
The Hermitage is the PERFECT wedding venue! The whole place is gorgeous, so no matter where on the grounds you decide to have your wedding, it will be beautiful. Ben and Bonnie, the coordinators, are the nicest people to work with. If I ever had any questions, concerns, or needed to visit the venue, they responded immediately and were willing to help with anything. I highly recommend this venue!
My husband and I got married at Tulip Grove Mansion at the Hermitage and had a wonderful experience. We had the ceremony and reception there and both were absolutely beautiful! The mansion itself is incredibly beautiful and romantic, which saved us from having to bring in a lot of "decor." The price is super reasonable compared to other venues we looked at, and the Hermitage does NOT have any preferred vendors, which was a major selling point for us. You are allowed to use whichever other vendors you choose, which gives you more control over your budget! I would definitely recommend this venue to other brides!
We used the Cabin by the Spring on The Hermitage grounds for our reception (our wedding was at The Hindu Temple) and we were looking for rustic, Southern charm, and that’s what we got. And for a great price. The tables and chairs are included with this place and our guest count was pushing their limit, but it’s a great location for 120 guests or less. They have a day-of representative there who is there to make sure everything that you requested is there and good to go and our guests were amazed at the charm and uniqueness of the locale.
I have always dreamed of having a beautiful out door wedding complete with lots of southern charm,a historic mansion, and beautifully manicured lawns.
Then I found out that my dream was expensive!
I then found the Hermitage Plantation! Not only was it beautiful and charming but it didn't break the bank! We're not rich but we got every penny's worth with this venue. The staff very professional and patient as I was trying to make decisions. The garden next to the mansion was even in full bloom on my wedding day! Looking back, I would not of picked any where else to get married.
We had our reception at the Cabin-by-the-Spring. It provided a wonderful rustic setting and was great for our winter wedding! In preparing for our event, Samantha was great in helping us work out all the details and reminding us what needed to be done. The hostess was very helpful during the event. We even got a horse and carriage for all our guests to transport them to the reception site. They loved it!
The people at The Hermitage cannot keep their employees long enough to actually be helpful. We signed a contract (3 months before our wedding) with one woman and then about a month later ended up working with a seperate person for the actual event. They promised many things and didn't deliver on any of them. My husband was so upset the day of the wedding he wanted to leave and go somewhere else to get married. For the price ($3000 for garden & lobby reception) all you get is a pretty place no help, no customer service, and no peace of mind. The whole process was VERY STRESSFUL which is not what you want on your wedding day. The Hermitage Garden was beautiful but other than that we were not happy with anything. I would not reccommend them to anyone.
My daughter got married in the Cabin-By-The Springs at The Hermitage last December. I have to say, Linda Holt and the entire staff at the Hermitage were more than gracious to us during the entire process. Linda spent a lot oftime answering questions about the facilities and showing us around the property while we tried to choose the best place for the nuptials. The Cabin was the perfect choice for the wedding as my daughter and her fiance wanted a simple, no frills site. We decorated with live Christmas trees, had Christmas wreaths in all the windows and candles on the sills. The fireplaces were going (turned out to be a good thing, one of the coldest days of the year). It was a beautiful, simple site and a wonderful ceremony. Because my daughter had booked her wedding at the Hermitage, she also was given a 2 hour window to have her bridal portraits taken on the property. So we not only have beautiful wedding pictures, we also have beautiful Bridal portraits from the garden, Tulip Grove, the Cabin and the back porch of the Hermitage. Thank you to everyone at The Hermitage for making my daughter's wedding day one of her happiest!
