Located in Smiths Grove, KY, The Hidden Homestead is a private oasis nestled within a forested landscape. Ideal for couples wanting a secluded and nature-inspired wedding, this venue presents a delightful escape. Owners Scott and Michelle Skaggs are pleased to offer their property to clients celebrating a new life together as a married couple. Scott is a retired Kentucky State Trooper holding a professional career as a photographer for well over a decade now. The experience that he and Michelle have created at The Hidden Homestead is more than a simple barn repurposing. Instead, they have focused time and energy into creating a truly rejuvenating getaway. With couples as their muse, Scott and Michelle transformed four venue locations into stunning wedding accommodations. The largest available event space is the barn. With approximately 4,000 square feet to work with, couples will benefit from exceptional wooden construction as well as table and chair rentals. Outside, the second location, the gazebo, presents a magical atmosphere that is embellished with romantic lighting and a chandelier on request. Down by the water, the third location is the archway. There, couples can walk down a 36-foot long sidewalk which acts as an ideal aisleway. For something outside the box, the wooded wedding area offers a fourth and final event option. Lights can be strung from trees and benches placed in a range of interesting layouts. Among the woods and across the property, couples will have the opportunity to snap timeless, beautiful photos to remember their special day. This can be done using Scott's in-house services, allowing couples to avail of a photographer that knows the ins and outs of the property. A range of rentals may also be provided to enhance the overall experience. These include items such as vintage furniture, whiskey barrels, lanterns, mason jars, and many more options.
