There are so many positive things to say about this wedding venue. The crew, the location, amenities, and flexibility to have a unique wedding are just some that are top of the list.
I would have my wedding here a million times over again, Thank you to the Hideout crew that made it happen... you are all amazing at what you do.
Truly one of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues ever! Our wedding was an absolute dream. The Hideout is gorgeous and perfect for the outdoor couple.
The team at the Hideout is super communicative and proactive with making your wedding experience smooth and stress free. We were able to fully customize everything about our wedding (decorations, schedule, campers, vendors, etc). Even though we had several conversations about where we'd like our Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony and Reception area, Mother Nature had other plans. We had rain, hail and a brief fire (caused by a lightning bolt striking a tree), and everything about our wedding was still absolutely perfect. The Hideout worked to make our wedding so beautiful and fun!
I can't speak enough about how stunning the property is. The cabin, the lake, the meadows, the hiking trails, the jacuzzi - all of it is incredible. If you're lucky enough to use the Hideout for your wedding, it will be an unforgettable wedding like nothing you've seen before!
BEST DAY EVER! The HideOut is such a special place, we knew from our first visit it would be the place we would get married... who would have thought we would have had such a wild ride leading up to the wedding. We had the best 4 days here, which was so nice because as the couple getting married you barely get to enjoy your day. Us having the 4 days, 3 nights we were able to have family/friends and enjoy the week with them. The venue was able to accommodate any and every idea we had. There isn't another venue like The HideOut. The breath-taking views when you come up the dirt road, to see the house and lake for the first time. The whole property had so much to offer and enjoy. We wanted a wedding that people will talk about for years to come, and we know alone with the venue we will have a lifelong of memories. We can't wait to visit this magical place in the coming years. We can't express thank you enough to the Hoover family for building this amazing place and even more so letting us enjoy it and celebrate our special day! (THANK YOU TOM, BJ and JOSH!!!!!)
My husband and I knew after our first visit to The Hideout that this was the place we were to be married. Josh and his family went above and beyond for our entire wedding weekend. From the early planning process, questions about specific logistics, and having a plan for inclement weather...The Hideout does it all! As if being there , ready, and prepared for anything wasn't enough...Josh even helped our family out to the highway after a very heavy snowstorm. Having the Hideout Crew around for your big day at The Hideout is just like having more extended family there and willing to help. Thanks for making our big day so special!
The Hideout is such a special place and I feel so blessed to have had my wedding there. You rent the venue for 4 days, so you have time to truly enjoy your time there. I loved being able to spend the weekend with my loved ones rather than having it all over after one day! The venue is gorgeous and very well maintained. BJ and Josh were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. I could not recommend The Hideout any more, if you have the opportunity to have your wedding there, do it!
It is hard to put into words just how amazing the hideout is. Photos can show you just how beautiful it is, but there is something special about that place that just isn’t captured in a picture. If you want a truly special place for your wedding day, the Hideout is it. The ceremony site, the lodge, the saloon, the barn - everything is beautiful and well-kept while keeping the rustic feel. Josh, BJ and family go above and beyond to make everything you could want for your special day a reality. It truly is a magical place and I feel so lucky to have been able to get married here. It was incredible.
The Hideout helped us realize our dream mountain wedding! Not only was the scenery and architecture incredible, but the staff was so helpful throughout the whole process. Our guests were blown away by the venue. If you’re on the adventurous side, and want an unforgettable wedding weekend, this is the place to get married.
My husband and I had a change in plans and ended up eloping last year but we had planned our wedding at the HideOut for next August 17th, 2019 (BONUS, that date is now available)!
We would have loved to spend more time exploring the HideOut and enjoying all that the venue has to offer. This place is incredible!
This place has a master bedroom that can easily be used as a dressing room with the Bride and her maids, and has a saloon that the groom/groomsmen could use as there getting ready area. It also has a second house on location called the LookOut that can be rented out. They do also have a covered area for dancing ( a custom built barn).
All of our conversations with BJ and the team up at the HideOut were timely and professional. We toured the venue last summer and quickly realized that the HideOut is absolutely gorgeous. The owners really have thought of everything you could want and need for your wedding weekend.
Every wedding planner and vendor we spoke with had high reviews of this place. If you love the great outdoors, the HideOut is the perfect venue for you.
Words can’t do the Hideout wedding experience any justice! It is without a doubt the most breathtaking, rustic venue. We hosted a wedding on Aug. 25th and it was flawless. Owners BJ and Tom Hoover and their son, Josh, were beyond accommodating, efficient, and readily available without being intrusive. The wedding site was beautifully maintained, the barn was spacious with room to accommodate our band, the dance floor, and seating. The Saloon became the hub of excitement around the bar and pool table. And let’s not forget the nightly ritual of a blazing campfire created by Tom or Josh.
In addition, the manner in which the Hideout staff collaborated with the vendors was amazing. Our planners, Candice and Kayla from Graceful Eventing went above and beyond our expectations to create the perfect wedding. The vendors, Motherlode and Wild Hog for catering, shuttles by Cameron Ragsdale, wedding cake by Ingrid Fraser, flowers by Millie Butler, music supplied by the band, The Lucky Devils, Das Bus Photo Booth, Emily Heizer the photographer, Aimee’s Coffee Cabin, and Bottom’s Up Vintage Beer Truck worked together like clockwork.
If you would like a rustic wedding venue that is totally unique, with owners who are friendly, cooperative, and beyond accommodating, the Hideout is for you. There aren’t enough stars to give the Hideout because it was just perfect!!!
This place is off the charts awesome! A beautiful meadow ringed with gorgeous granite peaks, a family built stunning lodge with a 30 person granite hot tub overlooking a lake, and you get it for multiple days to boot. Theres camping onsite and no curfew! Our wedding at this 7,000 foot paradise was absolutely magical. The staff was wonderful and our friends and family loved every minute of it. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Take one tour and you will fall in love with the breathtaking scenery and the lovely people who built and run the place.
If I could give 10 stars, I would! This is one of the most beautiful places I have been in Tahoe and the owners are SO incredibly nice and helpful!!! If you want a one of a kind, unique, AWESOME wedding, this is your place! Plus, you get the property for 4-5 days vs just an 8 hour party. No noise ordinances and the freedom to pretty much do whatever you want as long as it's safe. I can't speak highly enough of this place or the owners.
