The High, Wide & Handsome Band

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having The High, Wide & Handsome perform at our wedding, and they truly exceeded all of our expectations! We had a mountain wedding and wanted to have an acoustic, jazzy sound. I feel so lucky that we found Robert and his bandmates, as they fit the bill so completely that they nearly stole the show. They set a warm and joyful tone for the ceremony and all the events thereafter, and they kept the party going with fun ideas like playing limbo with the small children, and even prompting the Hora with a fun rendition of Hava Nagila. My husband is Jewish, but I'd never participated in this traditional chair dance, and it was so fun, I could have split the sides of my dress laughing. We were also especially touched that they took the time to learn and beautifully play our First Dance and Father/Daughter Dance songs. It felt so lovely and personal, and I'm still smiling just thinking about it. The High, Wide & Handsome were so talented and fun that we really can't stop recommending them to friends and family, and we hope to work with them again on some future occasion. Not only were they kind, accommodating, and easy to work with, but generous too. Robert sent us a surprise package in the mail a few weeks after the wedding - a vinyl copy of his music! Now we can put it on whenever we're feeling nostalgic, and remember just how wonderful the day was. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about this band, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group to make our special day unforgettable. They were everything we could have hoped for, and then some.

Robert and team were INCREDIBLE. They made our special day all the more wonderful - total professionals and top notch musicians who know how to bring the good vibes. I would hire them again a hundred times over.

I HIGHLY recommend the High, Wide & Handsome Band to play your wedding. Just a terrific experience overall. A++++!!!! Robert and his band were the PERFECT addition to our special day. I couldn't have asked for a better musical experience. Not only were they all completely professional, but also heartfelt individuals who were pleasant to hang out with during their meal break. Just a bunch of complete sweethearts. They really went above and beyond when they played music at our beach wedding 3 years ago. The two things that stand out most in my memory are that they allowed two women among my family friends (who are talented musicians & singers in their own right) get up on the mic and join the band for a few songs, as the hired band backed them up. Being that I grew up hearing these women sing with my mom and dad (also musicians), and the fact that my own parents weren't alive or present to see me get married, it just brought tears of bittersweet, heart-swelling joy to my eyes. And my sister, too! It was beyond special. Then, as the night went on, Robert improvised a catchy tune with lyrics all about me, my bright pink hair and matching bridal outfit, my adoring husband, and his teenage step kids and their very hip and quintessential looks. It had the reception attendees in fits of laughter, and it just made my night. Huge thanks to Robert and the High, Wide & Handsome Band!
