Established in 1965, The Hillside Venue offers a vast space for couples and their guests on their special day. As a working vineyard, they offer a rustic, well-maintained space filled with picturesque views. The event venue itself boasts a charming banquet hall for your wedding feast. A relaxing get-ready space is also available for you and your partner to prepare for your big moment. Couples are welcome to host their reception either outside in the lush gardens or in the rustic events hall, with plenty of customization available. As an added touch, you can enjoy a tasting session of this vineyard’s deep and rich wine selection.

I feel I have a responsibility to warn other couples about Hillside Vineyard. Lindsey comes off as a very kind woman who will do anything to make your perfect day happen. However, ...
our experience was the opposite. It was impossible to get ahold of her despite calling and texting multiple times over the span of a few weeks. She made lots of promises that she didn't fulfill.
1) She promised she had booked our preferred DJ 8 months in advanced but when we hadn't heard from him at 6 months out we reached out and he said he had never heard of Lindsey or the Hillside Vineyard. Luckily, he was still available.
2) When we signed the contract it included traditional full service catering. Then the month before she said that it was actually a taco bar which was not in our contract. They had updated the website from when we had signed to now and initially did not want to honor our signing contract. If you book here I highly recommend saving a pdf of your contract and the website specifics.
3) Day of, she promised her team would take care of the table and chair setup and setting up any decor. Three hours before the wedding nothing was done. When we went to look for Lindsey and hillside staff we couldn't find anyone. We called and texted and it took over an hour before we heard back (two hours before the wedding). Our bridal party frantically had to step up and we missed the excitement of getting ready and the photos. This set our whole timeline back and we didn't get to enjoy cocktail hour.
4) at the end of the night Lindsey assured us she would move all belongings from the bridal suite into the main area for people to take home. Instead she pulled our bridal party off the dance floor and had them move everything. This took 30-45 minutes and we missed spending time with some of the people we were most excited to see.
5) I assure you she will make sure you are off the premise by 10pm. There is no wiggle room and she will not ask nicely.
6) They are not transparent about pricing like their website says and they will be asking for more up to and including on the wedding day.
The whole experience with Hillside was extremely upsetting and disappointing. If you have this venue you absolutely NEED a day of coordinator.
Despite all of this, I think the most frustrating part is that since the wedding I have been trying to get in touch with Hillside to talk about what went wrong and ensure it doesn't happen to another bride and have not heard anything from them. I have never written a bad review before but this is one that needs to be said. WEDDING COUPLES BEWARE.

We got married at Hillside Vineyard in Northern Colorado last week. While the location itself is...
beautiful, I feel strongly about warning other couples: the planning process and wedding day experience were chaotic, stressful, and disappointing.
From the moment we signed the contract, communication became nearly nonexistent. Despite being marketed as “all-inclusive,” this venue charged extra for nearly everything. The team was unresponsive, disorganized, and seemed to disappear unless they were asking for money.
We told them early on that we had a DJ we really wanted to use. They claimed they knew him and could book him for us at a discounted rate, so we agreed. Five months later, after no updates, I reached out to the DJ myself—he had never even heard from Hillside and was not booked. We were incredibly lucky he was still available.
Another issue: we had clear emails and screenshots confirming a traditional catering menu. But Hillside later claimed our package was only for a taco bar, and then tried to charge us extra to “upgrade” to the meal we had already agreed on.
The most damaging part of all this was the wedding day itself. They had promised 100% of the setup and coordination would be handled by their team. But on the morning of our wedding—just three hours before guests arrived—not a single chair or table was set up. Our venue coordinator was nowhere to be found and wasn’t even on-site. My photographer was the one trying to reach her.
My wedding party ended up doing 100% of the setup. Chairs, tables, centerpieces, signage—everything. It was overwhelming, delayed our timeline, and stripped away any chance of a calm, joyful morning getting ready with my friends and family.
To top it off, they had my party clean out the bridal suite during our reception, another task they had explicitly told us would be taken care of.
The only reason our wedding didn’t completely fall apart was because a friend—who happens to be a professional day-of coordinator—stepped in to help manage the situation. Without her, I genuinely don’t know what we would have done.
In short: Hillside did not deliver on their promises, caused unnecessary stress, miscommunicated constantly, and then tried to charge us more for their own mistakes.

did not need much decor because it is so perfect as is. There are multiple potential ceremony sites depending on what vibe you are looking for (beach, grass, gazebo, pond, etc). They let you choose all of your own vendors which really allowed us to make our wedding us, instead of a cookie cutter package. We blended our own wine at the vineyard and our guests went crazy for it! Included in the venue is day of coordination which honestly was worth it on its own. Lindsey and Maria were amazing. They worked so hard on our wedding day to make it perfect for us, between setting up the ceremony to making sure we were fed and had drinks and water all night, they were a life saver. Even our guests were commenting on how amazing they were! We did not do a wedding party and having Maria to help with my dress and the procession was so helpful. We planned the wedding by ourselves which would not have been able to do without the late-night emails and texts to Lindsey asking for help. I can honestly say if it were not for these two people, we would not have had our dream wedding and we would not have had such a perfect day where not one thing went wrong. The pictures do not do this beautiful venue justice, go see it and I promise you will fall in love!

and beyond to make sure our event was a success. We hosted our 1st Annual Little Hearts Gala in their absolutely breathtaking venue and we didn't have to worry about a single detail. Lindsey and team were quietly in the background making sure things ran smoothly and taking care of anything we requested. Our guests could not stop raving about how perfect the venue was from the gorgeous wood walls to the stunning farmhouse tables to the beautiful outdoor area. Our fundraising event was successful beyond what we could ever imagine thanks in part to the generosity, kindness and organization of Lindsey and team. We were able to raise $75,000 that we will have the honor of donating to the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado for medical research. We can't say enough good things or recommend the Hillside Vineyard enough for your wedding or next event. They are a class above any other venue you will find in Northern Colorado.

The venue was ADORABLE and was a great place to host our event. From the Bridal suite, to the grooms room, to the gazebos, to the reception hall, it was the best we could have hoped for. Having the ability to host a ceremony outside, or if the weather wasn’t stellar being able to flip the indoor room for wedding and then reception made it a stellar place for us to chance our March wedding. Super appreciate that ability and was stoked that our event was able to be hosted outside :D
