My husband and I just got married on December 27, 2014 and the event manager, Adrienne Rind was absolutely wonderful to work with! We had a very small budget but you never would h...ave known it. They pulled out all the stops to make my dream wedding come true. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays and the ballroom carpet and chairs matched our theme of burgundy, gold and cream perfectly. The meal we selected for our sit down dinner was elegant and delicious and the bakery the hotel used for our wedding cake did a fantastic job creating a very unique and festive three layer red velvet and cream cheese filled cake decorated with dozens of tiny round Christmas ornaments. The florist the hotel recommended was able to do all of our flowers for under $450 and they were absolutely breathtaking. Adrienne was with me every step of the way and even though our wedding was two days after Christmas and fell during her vacation from work, she was still there that night with a smile on her face, making sure everything went off without a hitch. Even though our wedding was four months ago, our family and friends still talk about it all the time. Many of them said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Originally, we had planned to elope, but had a last minute change of plans due to work schedules and had to cancel our trip. We figured we only had the budget for a courthouse ceremony and small dinner for immediate family only. On a whim, just a few months before our big day, I contacted this hotel and made an appointment with Adrienne. She sat down with me and patiently went over all of the options and prices. I was almost embarrassed to tell her that our budget was only $1,500 when I know the average US wedding costs $30,000, but she always treated us with the utmost care and respect. She genuinely seemed interested in helping us and offered numerous suggestions. The hotel provided the smaller ballroom and tables, chairs, linens, china, silverware for our wedding and dinner, and included the cake stand, the centerpieces, the Christmas tree, wreaths, and a podium for our officiate at no additional charge. I highly recommend this venue to future brides or anyone else looking for a place to hold a special event. It was so convenient to be able to have both the ceremony and dinner in the same building which our guests really appreciated. The staff was topnotch and really kept dinner and dessert service on course so that my guests never had to request a thing. The hotel is historic and simply beautiful. It is Tudor style and reminds me of a castle with its stone walls, high ceilings, wood beams and huge rock fireplace. Of course, for all its old world charm, it is not lacking in modern conveniences, especially the indoor pool and restaurant. There is plenty of parking and it is convenient to the highway. The Six Flags theme park is located right across the street making it a perfect place to hold a family reunion in the summertime and avoid costly parking fees. If you are having trouble deciding where to have your wedding and/or reception and are getting frustrated with all of the added costs some other places tack on, do yourself a big favor and contact Adrienne Rind at Holiday Inn Six Flags. She will make the process easy, stress free and will work within your budget to make your special event even more special than you could ever imagine!
