Owner
Doug Adams is the owner of The Hitchin’ Post and the person behind much of what makes the property feel so special. A longtime landscaper, Doug spends countless hours caring for the gardens and grounds, and it shows in every season. He also built the barn himself, later transforming it into the comfortable, thoughtfully designed accommodations couples enjoy today.
In 2024, Doug married his wife during a winter ceremony on the property—giving him a firsthand understanding of how meaningful a simple, intentional wedding day can be. He takes pride in creating a place where couples feel relaxed, welcomed, and at home, and he’s always happy to share the story behind the land they’re celebrating on.
