The Hitching Post Hair & Makeup (travel)

Hollywood waves. I had a trial with my hair stylist at the time that didn’t quite turn out. It was only 3 weeks before my wedding when I was in need of someone. I posted in a Facebook group, and a couple people mentioned Rebecca. I contacted her, and luckily enough, she was available! She was super flexible with working with me and the last minute situation. Rebecca said she could come to me at the Ivy House, and was comfortable doing just my hair, since my seven bridesmaids already had stylists. Fast forward to the week of my wedding… I got word that one of the hair stylists had covid and could not style four of the girls’ hair. I freaked out! I reached out to Rebecca and asked if there was any way she could style a couple of girls’ hair in addition to mine. She said it was no problem, and I can’t explain enough how relieved I was! She did such an amazing job on our hair. The Hollywood waves style is pretty specific, and she absolutely killed it. I felt like a movie star. Even though I didn’t hire Rebecca the traditional way through THP, I can say with 100% certainty that they are who you should hire for your next event!

ee for her makeup trial and after several calls to her contracted artist and to the company she was finally told 30 minutes after the schedule appointment that her artist would not be showing up due to a possible accident. I’m not faulting someone if they were in an accident and were unable to show up or communicate due to this. I find fault with how Rebecca handled the situation. I called her to see if there was a way we could potentially find a backup artist because we were having our engagement photos later in the day. Rebecca proceeded to tell them that she would be “happy to reschedule the trial at a later date.” This obviously wouldn’t help the current situation and I relayed that. Rebecca was frustrated by my tone and told me, “The joy of running my own business is that I can choose who I work with.” At this point the conversation was not salvageable. She proceeded to tell me that I can look up other salons and call around. She bid me good luck and we ended our conversation. I’m certain there are many great makeup artists and wonderful hair stylists associated with this company and I don’t want to take anything away from them. We were intending on utilizing this company for our wedding pending the trial. As always do your own research. This could be an anomaly for this business. It was difficult to see a fiancé so upset after all the planning to try to make the day go smoothly. Happy Friday! 😊

girls. Rebecca made my princess hairstyle come to life and Isca absolutely nailed my dramatic eye and airbrush color. The day of the wedding they were on time and ready and began doing hair and make up right away. They took time to look at everyone’s photos/ideas and everyone looked stunning!! They were fun to get ready with and professional. They did my mother, aunt and grandmother as well - who all looked absolutely beautiful. Rebecca also did my husbands man bun (which was perfect) and combed my grandfathers hair for him. Isca did my makeup last and kept my nerves at bay during the last hour before the ceremony. They stayed on schedule and had everyone done by the 3pm time I requested. Everyone’s hair and makeup stayed put - my make up looked great at the end of the night despite sweating on the dance floor and putting my mask on and off. I felt absolutely beautiful my entire day and got the exact look I had in my mind! :) I highly recommend them for anyone’s wedding day!

She is talented and professional, and I highly recommend her!
