so nice to be there for the entire weekend, and have time to set up and spend time with family/friends. Everything about this place is beautiful! The pavilion was the perfect place for our casual rehearsal dinner. My daughter and her girls really enjoyed staying in the bunkhouse and the entire venue is absolutely breathtaking. The owners are wonderful people who helped with everything. A HUGE shoutout to Beth, our wedding coordinator. I am so grateful that we had her there. She went above and beyond to make sure that we were all taken care of. She especially made sure that my daughter & her husband were taken care of & had everything that they needed. She was constantly checking to see if we needed anything & ironed out a couple of bumps (oversights on my part, but Beth fixed everything!). We could not have done it without her! I would highly recommend checking out HPR for your wedding. It was everything that my daughter had hoped for & more for her special day!

The venue itself is set on a big, beautiful property so you feel like you are in your own world. We had the best day thanks to the HPR and would recommend this venue to anyone!

e you will ever meet. We fell in love immediately and truly had the wedding of our dreams. The Hitching Post is constantly changing to make things more gorgeous each time you see it. Beth (the wedding planner) is the most organized and accommodating person you will ever meet. Some specialties included are wedding planners, bartenders, sunset photos, and parking attendants. There is a huge getting-ready space for the wedding party and lots of space to dance the night away. I would recommend the HPR to anyone. I received more compliments on the venue and staff than I could ever have imagined. You will not regret booking here!!

with an amazing outdoor country feel and gorgeous views for miles. Our day couldn't have been more perfect from the weather, view, and the amazing staff. This venue had so much to offer to make your day spectacular. Everyone's focused on helping out any way they can to ensure everything does as planned. Mick and Lisa treated us like family and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Beth helped ensure the day was stress free with her amazing organization skills and her fun personality. I was stress free due to Beth having a well planned timeline of events and communication with all vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. The staff checked in several times throughout the day and even had amenity baskets in case we forgot something we might need. We really enjoyed the horses and the guests loved getting to take pictures with them. Sunset pictures overlooking the prairie was one of our top highlights of the night and we were able to get gorgeous pictures. This venue also has a bunk house where the bridal party can stay the night before the wedding and a bride and groom suit for overnight stay the night of the wedding. They truly thought of everything. above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we had hoped and wished for. She was very timely with responses and helpful in every aspect. Mick and Lisa, the owners, were also incredibly helpful and generous. They truly love their ranch and venue and want it to be the best it can possibly be for your wedding. They are so kind. Our wedding was May 13, 2023, and many of our wedding guests, complimented how beautiful the venue was including the ceremony site and the reception barn. I will always suggest the Hitching Post Ranch as a place to get married, as it truly did make our wedding day the best day ever.

u may want to look elsewhere. I booked this venue with full on Sweet Home Alabama vibes. I am a city girl but with coronavirus still somewhat at play, we booked this charming country outdoor venue to ensure some social distancing. We initially loved the venue but what we were not told is that during the time of our wedding, they would be undergoing remodeling to the venue bathrooms and the designated area where we had our rehearsal dinner and got ready the day of.That upset me because it was not included in our contract nor was it aesthetically pleasing at all, no flooring & finishings, and we were not warned that they were going to be doing this until we arrived for our wedding weekend. I had to purchase a carpet myself for women's bathroom as they only had plywood flooring and guests were having to walk through wet grass in heels to get to bathroom as they did not yet have an entrance. The venue is owned by a sweet couple who basically run the entire operation with some family, along with their friend who is the wedding coordinator. Very nice people, but not big on organization/planning. Ie- the day of the wedding my coordinator said they would be there in the morning to set up.The day came, my florists show up, and coordinator is not there, nothing is ready, so my parents and friends scrambled to set up tables. We had the venue until 11pm, but venue owners instructed dj to announce last call at 10pm.Little things like that, where we were told one thing by the venue and then those things never came to fruition, continued to happen which impacted my final review of venue.They offered us wedding props but said we would have to pay to rent them-fyi there is a much nicer venue down the road (who is booked out 2 years) that lets you use all props for free and charges the same amount as HPR. The weekend package includes wedding coordinator and shuttle bus amongst other things. Only crucial benefit in opting for weekend package is to ensure there is not a wedding at the venue the night before yours. The wedding coordinator was kind but did not do much the day of the wedding or prior,I felt that I did most myself. Ie-I had to call someone to escort myself and my entire wedding party by golf cart to the reception as I could not walk in my dress and my wedding coordinator was nowhere to be found.We also had little details promised to us for the reception that were not given because they told us they simply forgot. We were also told the venue had wifi for guests by the owner the day we toured the venue, but again this was not true as I asked for the wifi info during our wedding weekend and was told they did not have it by the same person who said they did. The reception area is beautiful and a huge part of why we committed to this venue. Beyond that, much of the the venue is travel by foot and all locations are just far enough away that, in a dress/heels/tux you really want to be diligent about how much you have to walk- separate areas of the venue include an area to get ready, the ceremony, to the reception.There is uphill/down hill, gravel and grass torrain.This is also why it was upsetting when my wedding coordinator was nowhere to be found when my and my wedding party needed to be introduced at our reception-we ended up being about a half hour late. They made us feel like family for the weekend. Beth, the wedding coordinator, is an absolute asset to their team. I am not sure my day could have even happened without her. She made a quick judgement call that kept my entire ceremony from being doused with rain. I highly recommend the wedding weekend experience as it made the whole process a lot more fun and a lot less stressful. I cannot express how much I love this place and the people who run it. I am forever grateful for my experience here!

inators also did an incredible job of making everything flow seamlessly, even with some last minute changes. If it is an option for you, the weekend package is an absolute must. This provides a space for the bridal party to stay the night before. We were also able to have our rehearsal dinner there and spend the whole weekend with our family and friends. It was amazing to be able to set up early on Friday, have fun Saturday night, and then come back Sunday for clean up. Absolutely worth it. There is also an amazing space to get ready, with private rooms for the ladies and gents and a spacious common area to hang out for the day. You cannot beat the views and spaces for the ceremony, reception, and pictures. They have also added on a ton to the reception area that makes it perfect for the celebration. We cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple looking for where to spend their wedding day!

A gorgeous, spacious pavillion nestled inside rolling hills, beautiful trees, and a serene pond provided stunning pastoral ambiance. Sunset photos atop their hills gave us the most incredible wedding photos. The Hitching Post Ranch is bar none the best wedding venue in the area.

Mick and Lisa were so involved in making sure our day was just how we pictured it. You are not treated as a couple getting married, but rather as a part of their family; this sets them apart from all the other venues we visited and had solidified our choice before we had even seen the whole place! We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding, the wedding of our dreams!
