The best decision we made for our wedding!!! This is such a hidden gem for venues in Houston. Beautiful views, plenty of space, and unique. We had our ceremony and reception here. You get the venue all day which is fantastic because there’s no time allotment like other venues. You just have to be flexible with dates because you are working around their show schedule. Kirk is the director and he is amazing. Very accommodating and kind. Brianne is the special events manager and she worked wonderfully with our planner. She was the sweetest and specializes in weddings. I would 10000x recommend this wedding venue!
I will agree with the previous reviews. Their in house cater is very difficult to work with. Which is a shame. You are able to bring in another caterer for food (for a fee) but must use them for alcohol.
We had a 275-300 guest wedding at Hobby Center with a seated dinner, numerous different vendors, and a simultaneous large city event going on across the street. I could not praise Kirk at Hobby Center any more!
The Hobby Center pricing and contracts are pretty straight forward. There are a few totally reasonable rules, nothing extreme or constricting though.
Kirk was awesome to work with on all the big and small details. He is a great guy, very fun relaxed and personable. Always professional and highly attentive and responsive to endless questions from us! He was very helpful in trouble shooting and navigating issues that arose due to a simultaneous city event.
I was so happy with my experience with Hobby Center as a wedding venue and with Kirk as the special events manager. Wonderful job!
Picturesque BEAUTIFUL! - Overlooks downtown with 60 foot high windows. Blank slate so you can bring in whatever vendors you'd like.;Have to plan early to get weekends where there is not a performance scheduled. Had to use Cordua for alcohol/beverages and were hard to deal with.
