Holds ceremonies and receptions
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here on September 26th, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place for our special day! From the very beginning, the owners were so sweet, communicative, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help with everything from the timing of our day to the smallest details with decor. They truly made the entire process so much easier!
We also took advantage of the lodging, which was such a huge plus! It made everything so much more convenient, and the affordability of both the venue and lodging was amazing, especially considering everything they have to offer.
I can genuinely say I had the best wedding day with little to no stress, and that means more to me than anything! The property is absolutely beautiful, but what makes this place even more special is how welcoming and comfortable it feels. It truly feels like home, and the owners make you feel like family rather than just another booking.
I am so incredibly thankful we chose this venue to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. I wish I could go back and relive it all over again! If you're looking for a beautiful, affordable venue with owners who truly care about you and your special day, I cannot recommend this place enough!
If I could give The Homeplace Events and Lodging in Toney, AL more than five stars, I absolutely would.
We had my daughter’s wedding here this past weekend, and I honestly don’t know how to explain how amazing Betsye, Sarah, and their entire family and crew were. From Friday morning at rehearsal until late Saturday night after the wedding, they were there for us. Every text was answered, every question was handled, and anytime we needed something, they were right there saying, “We’ve got it.”
We also rented the house on the property, which we had stayed at before and already loved. But after this weekend, The Home Place means so much more to us.
By the time we left, they didn’t feel like people we rented a venue from, they felt like family. They genuinely cared about our children’s wedding and about making sure our entire family could actually enjoy it.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but you can find beautiful venues. Finding people who care about your family and your children’s wedding like it matters to them too is something completely different.
Betsye, Sarah, and everyone at The Home Place, thank you for everything. You helped make the Bahena-Hovis wedding absolutely perfect, and I will forever be grateful. ❤️

North Alabama Venue in Toney, Alabama (North of Huntsville, Alabama)
The Homeplace Events has everything you need to host a spectacular event that guests will remember for years to come. The Barn is a 2,500-square-foot event space designed for small or large-scale wedding ceremonies and receptions. It features a private Bridal and Groom suites, each with en-suite restrooms and a fully equipped warming kitchen. The 7 acre venue (surrounded by over 270 acres) has several beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies or receptions as well. On the other hand, you might prefer to host your event in the Cedar Hall. This venue space is ideal for intimate gatherings, rehearsal dinners, or pre-wedding retreats. To top it all off, you have the option of enjoying a weekend-long celebration with on-site accommodation for up to 17 guests.
Great Wedding Packages
Before the big day, you and your partner can enjoy browsing lots of different wedding packages. The 'One-Day Rental' package accommodates up to 150 guests and includes professional setup for both your ceremony and reception (indoor or outdoor). All packages include set up with black or white tablecloths, chairs, access to any decorations that are in the Decor Barn, two parking attendants, and a day-of wedding coordinator. Alternatively, if you'd like to stay overnight, you could book the 'Two-Day Rental' Package. It has everything from the first package, as well as lodging and a rehearsal dinner set up in the Cedar Hall for up to 50.
Getting married on a short-time line or want an elopement package with a small reception and photos. We can provide those options as well.
