d! This venue is absolutely GORGEOUS if you are into rustic buildings and barns! The venue sits just northwest of Winchester, VA and is perfect for both weddings and special events! I can not say enough good things about the owners Katherine Solenberger and her daughter Emily Warren. They were super nice and very professional. Dinner hit the spot too....they fixed everyone some good ole' fried chicken and some sides for dinner! If you are looking for an outdoor venue that includes both history and charm, contact Katherine today! You won't be disappointed! Be sure to tell her that I sent you!
This is a gem in Winchester!!!! The venue is easily accessible from Rt. 37 but once you're there you feel like you are miles from anywhere, in your own little realm. Our May weddi...
ng was beautiful as the ceremony took place under two mature willow trees near the manor home and the reception took place in the barn which is surround by a working apple orchard.
The barn itself is beautiful on its own through its own character and the lights that the venue owners have strung all around. We only brought a small box of extra decorations to give it a personal touch. There are two sliding doors in the barn which allowed for a nice air flow throughout the reception. The barn is also set up in a way that it can be used as a backup location for the ceremony and it would be just as beautiful.
We got the top package, which included the wedding coordinator, catering, and flowers as well as all day access to the venue the day before for decorating and rehearsal. The food was amazing (high recommend the fried chicken) and the flowers were beautiful (perfectly in line with what the venue owner and I had talked about). Katherine really took care of us as if we were he own family and Jennifer conducted us through our day, keeping us even a little a head of schedule, in a calm and friendly manner.
Our day was about as stress free as we could've hoped for, and a lot had to do with Katherine and Jennifer. As I (the bride) fell a little behind getting myself ready, they finished decorating the barn in a way beyond even what I had imagined. It was breathtaking and our dream day.
As I said at the beginning, this is a gem in the Winchester area. The pictures on their site and advertising are gorgeous but doesn't do it justice next to the real thing. The price is remarkable on its own but when you add in everything else along with the personalized care and support the deal seems almost too good to be true. But believe me, IT IS VERY TRUE!!!! You are treated like family every step of the way. Check it out. You will not regret it.
