The Hotel Minneapolis will forever have a special place in my heart. My husband and I had our reception there in November of 2016. It was perfection from start to finish.
First of all, the hotel has such a neat history. It used to be a bank back in the day, which gives it a super cool atmosphere.
Liz and the staff were not only professional, but incredibly warm and friendly. They made us feel special not just on our wedding day, but throughout our entire planning process. They were always available and always accommodating.
On our wedding day, while we were out taking photographs, the staff was back at the hotel making sure that the restaurant where our reception would be held was set up exactly as we wanted. When we arrived, the room was completely ready to go. To say that our expectations were exceeded is an understatement. They did a beautiful job.
Dinner was fabulous as well. All the food was delicious. We were worried about having "mediocre" wedding food, and it was anything but.
All in all, the Hotel Minneapolis gave life to the dream reception that we had been envisioning during our year long planning process. My husband and I would recommend any couple thinking about using this sight to go for it.
The Hotel Minneapolis is beautiful and was very conveniently located near our reception venue and rehearsal dinner venue to make it easy for our out of town guests. It is also attached to the skyway in case of bad weather and is close to the Light Rail to the airport. With the hotel room block, the prices of rooms were very reasonable (~$120/night).
It has a number of beautiful public spaces that can be rented out (we rented one for brunch the day after the wedding). The rooms are small(ish) but comfortable - you hope the guests aren't spending too much time in there anyway.
The gift bags for the guests were not properly delivered on guest arrival - and then after I went and talked to the front desk, they still did not deliver all of the bags. Overall, the management were difficult to get ahold of and there were several miscommunications that resulted in guests having to move rooms, an hour or so of extra driving, and one guest missing the bus that we provided between the hotel and the ceremony.
Great rooms and location
Was at Restaurant Max in The Hotel Minneapolis. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were great and the room was exactly the vibe we were hoping for. Rather than the typical traditional wedding reception, we wanted it to feel more like a fun/casual cocktail party. And, it was achieved here. Great times!
We used The Hotel Minneapolis for our block of guest rooms. The hotel was beautiful and they took really good care of the guests. It's a very unique venue that made a great impression for the guests!
The Hotel Minneapolis is beautiful. In the end, I truly enjoyed by wedding day. My frustrations came with the turn over in staffing and the lack of communication between the hotel staff. It took a meeting with the new general manager to figure things out. I think that anyone who picks The Hotel Minneapolis for their ceremony and The Restaurant Max for their reception site will be more than pleased. My guess is that they needed to work out a few kinks with staff turn over and how a wedding would run in their hotel.
