Welcome to The House on Helm, a venue situated in Elizabethtown, KY’s historic downtown neighborhood. This stunning period property is nestled in an oasis of beautifully landscaped grounds but is mere blocks away from the town center, perfect for your wedding celebrations. The dedicated staff welcomes you to host the wedding of your dreams in this exquisitely-designed space, creating lasting memories with your loved ones in the heart of the Bluegrass State.
Built circa 1812 by Major Benjamin Helm, this red-brick home was the lavish setting for fabulous parties, as he and his wife, Mary, loved to entertain guests. The property was purchased in 2017 by the current owners with a specific vision in mind. In 2019, renovations began, and the house has since been lovingly restored to become one of Central Kentucky’s most sought-after historic venues. While the red-brick exterior retains its original glory, the house’s interior features elegant, modern furnishings with an eclectic twist, giving contemporary energy to the classically-decorated space. The lawn and rear gardens are ideal locations for a magical outdoor ceremony, surrounded by lush trees and vibrant flower beds. You and your guests can enjoy cocktail hour on one of the outdoor terraces or in the sumptuously-decorated bar parlor before your reception dinner.
The talented team at The House on Helm will help you plan an elegant, intimate celebration tailored specifically to you and your partner's vision. The house’s interior has been thoughtfully designed and incorporates every possible need for your wedding day. You can chat with Joy to begin planning your festivities.
