Lori and Fran helped to create the wedding of our dreams. We were awe-struck touring the venue, and even more so in having our wedding here. We're incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful venue in Florida, and would highly recommend for prospective nuptials to consider having their wedding at the Howey Mansion!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Howey Mansion this past April, and it could not have been more perfect! Since that day, our family and friends still can’t stop talking about how stunning and unique the venue was. When we began wedding planning, The Howey Mansion was the very first (and only) venue we toured—and we knew instantly it was the one. From start to finish, Fran and Kathleen were incredibly supportive and helpful, and we are so grateful for their guidance throughout the process. I can say with complete confidence that I wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else to celebrate our special day.
The property was spectacular, the staff was eager to help and made the experience carefree. Everyone was very helpful and very professional, always with a smile on their face. The caterer on of their vendors list was awesome, the short ribs were incredible. Probably the food I've ever had at a wedding. We highly recommend Kathleen and her staff who was always available and very organized. The property is well maintained and this historic home was exactly what we wanted. This is without a doubt the perfect place for weddings. Thanks for the memories!
As the owner of Everything Cake, I’m always thrilled to work with The Howey Mansion. This beautiful 100-year-old mansion—now serving as both a museum and a wedding venue—is truly one of the most charming and timeless locations in the area.
I’ve had the pleasure of delivering cakes here for several years, and I’m honored to be listed as one of their preferred vendors. The venue staff is consistently professional, welcoming, and helpful, making the entire experience—from delivery to setup—seamless every time.
The historic elegance of the space creates such a memorable setting for weddings, and it’s always a joy to see my cakes displayed in such a stunning environment.
Highly recommend The Howey Mansion to any couple looking for a venue full of history, character, and exceptional service. I look forward to many more events together!
We absolutely love every opportunity to work at the gorgeous Howey Mansion! It is truly a dream venue - elegant and full of charm in every corner.
What makes it even more special is the incredible team behind the scenes. They are professional, responsive, and genuinely care about each couple’s experience. It’s always such a joy to collaborate with a team that values excellence and hospitality.
We’re so honored to be one of their preferred vendors and grateful for the trust they place in us. Every event here feels like a celebration of love and we’re thrilled to be a small part of it!
As a Preferred Photographer at The Howey Mansion, I can say without hesitation that this is one of the most exclusive, high‑end wedding venues in Central Florida. Gaining “preferred” status here meant undergoing a rigorous selection process—every image I capture must reflect the mansion’s exacting standards for elegance, service, and historic preservation.
The Mansion, a Mediterranean‑Revival masterpiece built in 1925 by town founder William J. Howey, stands as a landmark of our community. With its 20 meticulously restored rooms, grand curving foyer staircase, and secret Prohibition‑era vault, it offers photographers a cinematic canvas unlike any other.
From the moment clients enter through wrought‑iron gates onto the sweeping horseshoe drive, they are enveloped in an atmosphere of once‑upon‑a‑time glamour. The lush 15‑acre grounds—with fountains, antique details, and hidden corners—are ideal for stylized portraits and intimate moments that feel truly timeless.
Behind the scenes, The Howey Mansion staff is impeccable. Their service is museum‑level, honoring the property’s historic significance above all else. This level of care permeates every detail, ensuring that vendors and clients alike feel part of something sacred, refined, and one‑of‑a‑kind.
As a photographer, being part of this elite special‑celebration experience is more than a credential—it is a creative elevation. The mansion challenges me to craft images that honor architecture, emotion, and legacy in equal measure. Couples are not just booking a venue, they are ENTERING INTO A STORY of 1920s ambition, community pride, and enduring romance.
If you seek a wedding experience that feels luxuriously curated, richly historic, and unmistakably unique, The Howey Mansion is unmatched. As a client, a guest, or a vendor, being part of this exclusive circle is a privilege—and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
As Orlando wedding photographers, Howey Mansion is without a doubt one of our favorite venues to capture weddings at. This venue gracefully blends historic charm with timeless elegance, offering a captivating backdrop for couples to host their wedding. From the moment you set foot within its grandeur, you're greeted by an atmosphere that's both gorgeous and inviting. As photographers, we're obsessed with the historic details and the storied architecture that provide a backdrop for capturing moments of love and celebration. From the upstairs getting ready rooms, to the outdoor ceremony locations, to the secret prohibition room, to the reception courtyard and indoor main area, everything is immaculate. The way natural light dances through the countless windows and plays upon the vintage interiors creates an ambiance that's enchanting. We’re able to capture the entire wedding day from start to finish with perfect lighting.
Beyond the aesthetics and overall feel, the staff of Howey Mansion are second to none. Fran and her team go above and beyond to make couples dreams a reality, while also paying close attention to preserving the pristineness of the venue.
For couples seeking a wedding venue that's a fusion of historic allure, timeless beauty, and a personable staff, Howey Mansion is the venue for you!
First off I never write reviews but it was so amazing that I feel I need to. I read the reviews before choosing this venue so I know how valuable they can be as a bride. I want to say that this venue and the staff specifically Fran went above and beyond. They were beyond great to work with and just really helped me feel comfortable with knowing that the day would run smoothly with them. Leading up to our wedding we had full communication with Fran and Lori which was so helpful. The day of we unfortunately had a medical issue in which Fran went above and beyond to make sure that we were ok. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful of a person Fran is. We were so truly lucky to have gotten the opportunity to work with her for our wedding. The venue is undoubtedly beautiful and will be the most memorable photos but the staff will also be extremely just as memorable with their kindness and helpfulness. Also wedding food is always subpar and I am an extreme foodie and I can say that this was the biggest hit at our wedding! I am hoping someone I know also has a wedding here just so I can eat the food again seriously 10 out of 10 venue, staff, food really everything!
What an absolute dream!
The Howey Mansion was everything we wanted in more. The staff are so helpful and accommodating. Every person that came to our wedding raved about the venue and how beautiful the building was. Fran, Kathleen, any my coordinator Morgan were fantastic and made our wedding perfect! You won't regret booking this venue for your wedding I promise!
We had our wedding at The Howey Mansion on December 14, 2024, and it was truly a dream come true! From start to finish, the venue and their team went above and beyond to make our day perfect.
First off, The Howey Mansion is absolutely stunning. The historic charm combined with elegant, modern touches made it the perfect setting for our vintage-modern-moody romance theme. Every corner of the venue, from the grand ballroom to the courtyard, exudes beauty, and it really set the tone for our special day.
One of the things we loved most was how accommodating they were. The venue included chairs and round tables, which was a huge bonus for us and saved us a significant amount of money. The bride and groom's suite was spacious and comfortable, and it was the perfect place to relax and get ready. PSA for Brides- There are only 2 spaces in the bridal suite you can do H&MU so consider this if you have a large bridal party. We bought the package that gave us access at 11am which was great! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and it felt like they truly cared about making our day as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
I will admit, they do have a number of rules, but it's understandable given the historical nature of the venue. Once we understood the guidelines, everything fell into place.
We also had the pleasure of working with Lori P from Arthur’s Catering during the planning process, and she was amazing. She provided great guidance, answered all our questions, and helped us stay on track. The catering, handled by Arthur's Catering, was another highlight – the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our guests are still raving about the meals!
Fran-the caretaker of The Howey, was so accommodating with some of the special touches I wanted to include in our day and made sure everything went according to plan. We felt truly supported every step of the way.
Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. The Howey Mansion was everything I imagined and more. It was the perfect venue to bring our vision to life, and we’re so grateful to all the staff who helped make it happen. We would do the whole day again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Howey Mansion team, for making our wedding so unforgettable!
Our son and daughter-in-law were just married at Howie. To a person, the staff was well trained, courteous and efficient. The mansion itself is well appointed and tastefully decorated. There is even a historic tour available from time to time. The mansion is approaching its centennial birthday! (2025) The bride and groom opted to rent the mansion for the overnight. The entire wedding party stayed there. They all had a very good time. Most importantly, our son and daughter-in-law described the wedding and reception as "perfect". That is all that really matters in the end. I enthusiastically recommend that you consider the Howey Mansion for your special event. We would do it all over again without any hesitation whatsoever. Thank you Fran!
As an aside, because of the historic significance of the Howey Mansion, there are, of course, some rules by which all guests must abide. They are in place to protect and preserve the mansion and its historic charm so that it can be shared and enjoyed by others for decades to come. The rules are all clearly spelled out in the contract that you are asked to sign. None of the rules should come as a surprise if the contract is read in its entirety prior to signing it. This usually happens a year or two before the event, so there is more than ample time to familiarize oneself with all of the terms.
We recently had our wedding at The Howey Mansion, and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue’s historic charm, beautiful architecture, and stunning grounds created a truly magical atmosphere that all of our guests loved. The staff was attentive and helped make our day run smoothly, adding to the sense of elegance and ease.
One note for future guests: while the mansion is a breathtaking venue with unique features, it may not be the most accessible for those with mobility needs due to its historic layout. We worked around this, but it’s something to keep in mind for anyone with specific requirements. Fran, the property manager went out of her way to pour concrete for our guests and included a ramp to enter the ballroom.
Don't forget to ask Fran about the History of the estate and get a tour of the speakeasy. You won't be sorry.
Overall, The Howey Mansion offered an enchanting and memorable setting for our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!”
I have been working with the Howey Mansion for about 4 years now, both with my previous company and my current employer. The best and most magical part about the Howey Mansion is FRAN. The thing about the Mansion is that is is primarily a MUSEUM. As Fran will tell you, it is a museum first, an event venue second. It is because of this that the Mansion should be respected as a museum FIRST. Any vendor or couple wanting to work with this historic building should go into it with this in mind (and take the historic tour before working/booking there!). Its history is what makes it so magical - after all, it's 100 years old this year! Fran makes sure that every detail of your event is taken care of with the consideration of the "museum first" perspective while being a warm and welcoming ambassador to all. The required vendor agreement is there to protect the mansion and all of its glorious attributes that make it what it is. I highly recommend any vendor to read it thoroughly! Honorable mention goes to PAT for keeping up with all vendor relations prior to wedding day. FRAN and PAT are a dynamic duo and are what make your experience at the Howey Mansion unique, caring and welcoming. I recommend them and the Howey Mansion to all of my couples and fellow vendors!
The Howey Mansion is a wonderful place. This historic and stunning venue presents a fantastic place to tour the history of the Mansion, on your most special of days. The team at the Howey Mansion is second to none. No surprise how tremendous the service will be once you meet the Estate Manager Fran. First person you should go and see put her work into action. She helps bring your Tours, Events, and Wedding Days to life with her care for the Mansion and the people who come to visit. Not sure this great place could function without Fran!
I love this venue! As a planner, it is my dream. The venue clearly lays out all the rules in advance to make the wedding rehearsal and the day completely smooth sailing. I have planned multiple weddings here and each day has always been perfect. Thank you, Fran and the entire Howey Mansion team!
The Howey Mansion is an amazing venue. So many unique spaces within the mansion. Staff is incredibly nice, and thorough; always there to help you. Fran is great! Always answering questions. We hosted a wedding there for over 100 people, and it was perfect. Highly recommend having an event here, and spending the night.
We just had our dream wedding at the Howey Mansion! From the very beginning it was a pleasant experience working with the staff of the mansion and Arthurs’s catering. Kathleen was my main contact, and she was always available to answer any questions and to help with planning. All the staff the day of the wedding, including Fran, were so friendly and very attentive. They were constantly at work to clean up after others and help keep the flow of the wedding. I can’t thank them enough for helping create such a beautiful night.
My wedding is still a bit of a ways out. However, I am 30k in already and I am not feeling good about anything. I was provided Lori for the venue who is very assertive. For myself and many, this will be the first and only time we may get to be the customer. I have paid over 3/4 of my full payments and have yet to feel anything less than a bother. I am rejected with any questions. I have offered to pay more even. The venue does not setup ceremony and tables with linens till 2 hours before your event! Why so late in the day? IDK. I did not know this till after the fact. That is very stressful when you have an entire reception idea planned, purchased décor and even hired an additional setup person. Two hours to setup the reception and complete tables, decorate for ceremony, seems all so little time. I am already very stressed about that and not being able to finish in time. I have worked very hard to make these payments and I am more than willing to pay for one hr even to have the tables setup earlier. But that was a no. My makeup team and other vendors have made comments to me in regard to dealing with the staff of the venue and strict rules. I was even told that I wont want to handle Lori and to get a full blown planner. I haven't felt there to be any wiggle room on anything and to feel like a bride/customer paying for a wedding. I feel like I'm trying to apply for a job and tiptoeing around my own wishes. Fingers crossed I am wrong and pray it all turns out. I wish I knew the times they only work on before I signed anything and paid anything. I think a really good venue would be more flexible on time and where you can walk when it comes to the fact that you rented the venue for that day. From my emails, it almost sounds like there is even a event going on, on my wedding day there in the morning.......
Gorgeous venue for our wedding! We (and our guests) were blown away by the beauty, service, and the delicious food at this venue! You really can have it all at your wedding and it is with Howey Mansion and Arthur's Catering. It was a true fairytale wedding from the moment you park to the moment you leave. Amazing price for what you get. Beauty, romance, history, friendliness, deliciousness, the list goes on.
We had the most beautiful wedding at the Howey Mansion! It exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. Our contact, Lori, with Howey was always available to answer any questions we had promptly and thoroughly. She took the time to get to know us in order to offer us personalized recommendations to make our day unique. Fran, the grounds manager was super helpful and made sure we were taken care of and stayed the entire wedding to be sure everything ran smoothly. The bride and groom suites were clean and air conditioned. Our guests told us the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding and were so surprised by how gorgeous the venue was! The bar staff was excellent, as were all of the servers and there was never a shortage of food. Everything ran smoothly even with a rain back up plan hours before.
We'd recommend the Howey Mansion to anyone looking for a gorgeous and unique wedding venue!
We had the most perfect wedding at the Howey Mansion! Our contact at the Howey was always available to answer any questions we had...and there were many. The grounds were beautiful. They had just put in new grass in the courtyard which was beautiful. Fran, the "lady of the house" was super helpful and made sure we were taken care of. The bride and groom suites were clean and air conditioned. They partner with Arthurs Catering for food and drinks. Our guests told us the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. The food was phenomenal. The bar staff was phenomenal, as were all of the servers. The passed appetizers and cocktails were a hit as well. We were so happy with everything for our wedding. We had 134 people.
If I had to go back and do my whole wedding over again, I would chose The Howey Mansion over and over. Everything about this venue is PERFECT. I had so many of our attendees tell me this was the best wedding they had ever been to, and the Mansion was a huge part of that. The Mansion is beautiful. It was the exact aesthetic I was going for. The windows on the side of the property made for the perfect ceremony location. The back terrace was beautiful for an evening dinner. The catering from Arthur's was stellar. And the Prohibition Room was such a fun surprise for our guests. We were able to throw a proper party with no issues. And I loved the ability to add some flair with our own item hanging above the fireplace (we chose to have a photo of our dog).
I'm seeing some reviews say that Fran was a nightmare to work with but that was not our experience. You have to understand, this is a historic venue and she does what she needs to in order to ensure the property is protected. As someone who loves historical sites and antiques, I completely understand. Because of this, there are a few hoops you have to jump through with vendor paperwork which was a little annoying but nothing unmanageable. On our wedding night, Fran was an absolute joy. She even told our wedding party some ghost stories, which they loved. And she walked us back to the Gardener's Cottage (where my husband and I stayed that night) and told us more stories about the property. Seriously, she was great.
Speaking of the Gardener's Cottage, I highly recommend staying there for couples on your wedding night. It is so cozy and quaint, you won't need to pay for a getaway car, plus our photographer was able to follow us there after our grand exit and get some adorable photos of my husband carrying me over the threshold.
If you're considering Howey, I could not recommend enough. Our wedding was a dream. Everything was perfect. And we can't stop talking about the venue.
This is the perfect venue to have a wedding that feels surreal. It is one of the most romantic venues Florida has to offer (in my opinion) and you will definitely not regret it once you see your pictures. The historical mansion is not only beautiful on its own but has many different options to choose from for both the ceremony area as well as reception indoor or outdoor. Lori was amazing throughout the whole process, always keeping open communication with us whenever we had questions or concerns. And helping us with special requests. Fran was also amazing during the day off, helping make sure everything ran smoothly as well as saving some appetizers for us to try after our pictures. I highly recommend this beautiful venue.
When my husband and I were looking at wedding venues for our ceremony and reception, none of them were the best fit for our vision and budget. We were looking for something historic, elegant, and regal; yet all we seemed to come across were rustic barns, bland ballrooms, or smaller homes. Not only did they not fit our whimsical romantic theme, but they were also outside of our budget and would require additional table/chair/cutlery rentals. It seemed hopeless until we came across a listing for the Howey Mansion. We were taken aback by how gorgeous the estate was and its history. The next weekend we completed a tour and knew we had found our dream wedding venue.
For our wedding day, we purchased the Mrs. Mary Howey Package which included 2 hours of time in the bride/groom suites prior to the ceremony, 6 hours of actual event time, mahogany chiavari chairs, round banquet tables, cocktail tables and smaller tables if needed for unity candle lighting/sand ceremony, floor length linens, water station, onsite parking attendant, cake cutting, and so much more. We had access to the entire mansion and were able to rent the cottage on-site for the night before and night of the wedding as our honeymoon suite. Even our wedding planner was shocked at how much was included for such a low fee. The Howey Mansion works exclusively with Arthur’s Catering to cater their events and I can honestly say that was a match made in heaven. The food was superb and all of the necessary dinner items were included with our Arthur’s package as well such as plates, glassware, cutlery, etc. Our contact from the Mansion, Lori, was the same as our contact from Arthur’s so she was aware of all of the necessary details for our special day venue and catering-wise.
The day of our wedding came and everything went according to schedule. The venue was able to coordinate well with my wedding planner and other vendors during the set-up portion of the day. While we were supposed to have an outdoor wedding, we were blessed with rain, so the venue was very accommodating on moving the ceremony inside. When my guests arrived, they were stunned at the beauty and regal nature of the Mansion. Very little decor, other than florals and candles, were necessary since the Mansion itself is so rich in design. Having our wedding at the Howey Mansion brought our fairytale wedding to life and we couldn’t be more thankful to the staff and owners!
Howey Mansion is breathtaking! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue for our day. It helped that we had an AMAZING team help pull everything together!!
Celebrated my wedding at The Howey Mansion. My friends still reminisce about the event two years later. The service was spectacular! The food was delicious and the service professional, very accommodating. I highly recommend this venue.
I had both my ceremony and reception (Indian wedding, two different days) at The Howey Mansion, and I truly had the most magical wedding weekend I could ever dream of.
Tasha and the mansion staff went above and beyond for my husband and me. They were incredibly accommodating of our cultural needs and were flexible with us.
The shining moment for us is when our reception venue abruptly shut down two weeks before our wedding (Noah's Event Venue, a mess). Tasha saw my Facebook post and immediately started trying to help me before I even contacted her. She offered me use of the mansion for both days, for an extremely reduced fee, let me keep every single vendor I had already booked, and worked with me to reorganize my wedding reception. She absolutely didn't have to do that and the fact that she did just proves the level of commitment they have to their clients. On the day of the wedding, several things went wrong with vendors and I wasn't even aware because they worked so hard with my coordinator to ensure that my husband and I had the perfect wedding.
The mansion is absolutely stunning, and I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. Everything from the venue itself, to the staff, to the service... incredible.
We fell in love with the (THE HOWEY MANSION) venue since the first time we visited for a tour... We knew we wanted to get married there! The venue did not disappoint. The pictures turned out beautiful!! Our guests were blown away with the elegance yet historic vibe of this venue! Tasha and the whole Howey staff were great, so professional!! They were helpful through the whole process. The suggested vendors, worked great together to make this night one to remember!!! THANK YOU so much MR & MRS Quinteros <3
Most beautiful venue! My wedding was so beautiful there and had many guests raved about how beautiful of a venue it was. I’m so glad my wedding was there! It was definitely a venue meant for us. I fell in love with it the first visit.
Let’s not forget how beautiful of a ready room we both had, great for pictures! Honestly, so glad the Howey Mansion opened for weddings when we started looking. Our wedding photos look amazing and that’s thanks to my man vendors but also to this beautiful venue. We were lucky.
Hi there,
They do have onsite accommodations now. You can rent the guest house at the back or you can rent rooms inside the mansion for events.
I just published an article that is extremely thorough, current and detailed: https://britonthemove.com/howey-mansion/
It also includes current video’s that are up to date. Lastly, there is plenty to now see as you can take a tour.
This article may be beneficial to your readers and may help refresh some of your existing content.
I hope you’ll consider sharing this.
Thanks in advance – Nikki – Brit on the Move
We fell in love with the mansion the second we stepped into it while looking for a venue for our wedding. We were deciding between Howey Mansion and Casa Feliz. We're glad we chose Howey as it was absolutley stunning! Breathtaking pictures were the result. All of our family and friends were in awe of how gorgeous it was. We didn't even use a lot of decorating, the mansion really spoke for itself. The only thing I advise is if you plan on having a wedding card box
1) make sure you have a lock for it
and
2)make sure someone is watching over it.
Unfortunately, we had someone steal cards out of ours when it was alone for maybe 20 minutes but even that was enough time. Our wedding was the Saturday of Memorial weekend and they didn't open until Tuesday. We went to the mansion to see if something could be done but apparently their security cameras only hold 48 hour footage and it was deleted. Which seemed very odd and shady considering that most business if not all with security cameras hold footage for at least 30 days. Even our cameras bought from Bjs hold footage for 30 days. It's upsetting that this happened at such a place and we could do nothing about it.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING location for photos & intimate gatherings!
I can't stop smiling! We had such a PERFECT wedding day, and our friends & family are still raving about how beautiful our venue, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner & reception were!
I was ready to make a decision on a different venue when my fiance (now husband) found The Howey Mansion at the last minute.
From the very beginning, Tasha was welcoming, responsive, flexible and had great ideas for me as I imagined my wedding during our tour. I immediately fell in love with the intimate feel of the venue, and we booked right away.
Our guests LOVED the location, and said it was an easy drive that made them feel like they were on a romantic get away. They all came early and stayed ALL NIGHT to celebrate with us.
We also spent our wedding night in the Mansion Cottage, and enjoyed wedding cake for breakfast, while laughing and reminiscing on our perfect day.
Thank you so much, it truly was the Best Day of Our Lives!
Beautiful historic venue!! We fell in love with the mansion during the renovation phase and it did NOT disappoint! It was perfect for our outdoor ceremony and dinner, and indoor reception. The staff was very accommodating and answered all questions quickly, as well as made vendor recommendations. It is a historic venue so you do have to work with the current layout but the team had wonderful suggestions on how to make our wedding of 170 guests run smoothly. We, along with our guests, were blown away by how well everything was executed and by the mansion’s stunning beauty! Highly recommend!!!
The beautiful and historic Howie Mansion made our daughter Katie Saunders dream wedding come true! We highly recommend this venue to everyone we know, Alexis and staff were amazing and professional, the setting is like no other! Thank you Howie Mansion
Great location, one of a kind.
Very responsive, attentive and always available. They made the planning process very easy. They tried to accomodate all our requests and also helped us through last minute pouring rain :)
It has really been a pleasure working with Alexis and Tasha.
Very beautiful venue, although all my guests were swarmed by mosquitoes after I already addressed pest control to the staff as an issue. The venue itself is great, but the mansion staff has changed since I signed my contract and attemped to take away or charge me for things previously promised to me. Get 100% of what they say in writing! They are very shady! You've been warned!
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and since our theme was the prohibition and it being built in the early 1900’s fit perfectly! We were devestated when our old venue didn’t work out and Howey did a great job of accommodating our last minute needs. I will certainly be reaching out to them to discuss a few small things that need not be mentioned in a review but, all in all, this place is amazing for a wedding under 100 guests! The lighting, the indoor/outdoor options and the staff is incredibly thoughtful! Thank you!!
