The customer service was wonderful as well. They were quick to schedule a taste-testing date with us and answered all our questions. What truly makes this place amazing, is not only do they make your wedding cake perfect, they also give a certificate for your first anniversary as a thank you. It makes the first year anniversary very special! They're also my go-to place for a little treat after a long day at work too. :-) I highly recommend The Icing Baking Company for any occasion.

ey could have any left over cake we had because it was so good. The bakery delievered on time, was able to accommodate another request of ours, and left us a small gift in addition to the glorious wedding cake we commissioned from them. We will be going back often for their cupcakes.

for the weekend due to the hurricane so I had to pick up my cake by Wednesday which I was ok with. Went to pick it up after a very stressful day of my uncle's flight being cancelled and he was the one that was gonna walk me down the aisle. So went to go pick up my cake and it is bright red instead of purple ribbon. I just cried they said they tried making it the closest color they could to the picture? Bright red not purple! So they say we can try to change it to the correct color. They search for it couldn't find it and made the color out of fondant. Tell me to pick it up the next day. Well they agreed to deliver it for me due to the inconvience. On my wedding day it gets delivered and it's slanted and the diamond ring around the cake is falling off and there's a gap from it not being onto the cake all the way. I was so upset it's looking like it's falling sideways and all the mess of a cake. I finally get to speak to a manager which her associate tells her that it was slanted and the rhinestones looked off. And she tells me sorry on Thursday you said as long as the color changed I liked it. Wrong poor quality for the money spent and poor customer service. Very unsatisfied with the outcome. I wanted the chance to speak with the "new" owner and wow I was amazed on how she handled the situation so poorly.

they tried contacting the shop for questions and to make minor changes. They were told multiple times their contract couldn't be found and they weren't in the computer. Whe they asked to speak to the owners, they were always out or on vacation. When the cake arrived on the wedding day it was covered in a thick layers of fondant. Even though it made a pretty cake, it is not what they ordered. They also ordered a lemon cake, and it was a vanilla cake with a "lemon" filling that had no lemon taste. The cake was dry as if it was made a week before. When they complained on their Facebook page, someone from the shop said they don't do buttercream in the summer, although that was nowhere in the contract. In would stay very far away from this bakery.

Shannon expertly led us through many combinations until we found the perfect one. After that, we talked about the design of our cake. It’s helpful if you have some ideas of what you are looking for, so bring your iPad and Pinterest to show them. We left the bakery with a handmade sketch of our cake and secured a date. When we saw the cake on our wedding day we were absolutely thrilled with how well the cake looked–exactly detailed to the sketch. When the cake was served, our guests kept coming up to us and telling us how wonderful the cake tasted and that it was incredibly moist. We were proud to tell them that we had ordered it from The Icing Bakery. They also make tasty cupcakes if you want something small and sweet while driving down RT610. TIP: We ordered a custom cake topper off Etsy and had it shipped to the bakery ahead of time to be used as our cake topper. Will definitely use them again for other events!

for our sample tasting was so much fun, and they did a great job designing our dream cake with us. It was DELICIOUS. We had the citrus blossom combination, which is what we first tried at the bridal show. Everyone told us it was the best wedding cake they've had. And we loved it, even though for me, most of it was up my nose. Another reason we chose The Icing was because it was unique that they offer a set of honeymoon cupcakes, AND a certificate for an anniversary cake, so you don't have to freeze your wedding cake. So great! On the wedding day, the delivery and set up went just fine, and I was so excited when I came out and saw it!

o-to event cakes! We met with the Icing just once and gave our vision of our cake and did a tasting (best part ever). We ended up choosing the white chocolate raspberry truffle and it was as always so delicious. All of our guests loved the cake. The best part for me was the fact that all I described to them during our meeting was that we were using a lot of greenery in our reception theme. The baker knew exactly what to do. She created these gorgeous succulents and berries and greenery out of fondant on our cake. It matched PERFECTLY with our theme and looked so real. It was absolutely incredible. The Icing delivers every single time!

well and I was pleased with the suggestions from the lead baker. I did not place my deposit on that first meeting as I like to think things over and that ended up being a disaster. It took me over a week to get a response from the bakery after calling and emailing to try and book them once I had made a decision. After calling again I was told that the one person who checks the emails has been out all week and that is why I didn't get a response. The woman who told me this was rude and talked to me as though I was beingtoo pushy. Once I finally got a contract it wasn't very detailed. I am custom to a contract that states exactly what I am ordering so when it says "6" next to cannolis, I am under the impression I am ordering 6, though when I asked for clarification from a staff member I was told it meant "6 dozen" and it seemed a big hassle for them to write out 6 dozen. Every interaction with them after that became more difficult.I would either not get a response or half a response and would have to respond again to get all of my questions answered. If I had to do this again, I would have picked a different bakery. Their cupcakes and cookies were not worth the drama of trying to communicate with them.

There was some slight confusion with finalizing the order and making payment online, mostly because I was planning from out of the state, but once I was speaking with someone on the phone, everything was smooth sailing.

guests were unable to make it. The cake we ended up getting was incredibly beautiful, and I couldn't have done it more perfectly if we'd walked through every detail. It was also completely delicious. The one thing I have to knock them on is communication. Emails would get answered weeks later and sometimes if I asked 2 questions I'd get back 1 answer and have to wait for a response again. There was also an issue with whether the cake would be delivered or not at the last minute which we fortunately got straightened out, but caused a minor panic. Overall a fantastic product, but make sure you get all your questions answered early!

Best of all, on our wedding night we were given a certificate for a complimentary cake for our one-year anniversary. No need to save our cake topper in a freezer for a year! I was extremely impressed with the quality of the product The Icing created and with the professionalism of their service. I plan to get all my special occasion cakes from them in the future.

ake to look great...I wanted it to taste great too! When I set up a tasting I thought we'd get to taste a few options. I was surprised to find out how many flavors they offer. The hardest part was choosing which two flavors were our favorite! We had two tiers, so we choose the Boston Creme Pie and Pink Champagne. It's been over a year since we got married and people still tell me how great my cake was...and of course, our wedding! They also offer to make an anniversary cake on your one year, so you don't have to eat stale, frozen cake. By far the best bakery in town!

it's a cupcake, birthday cake or wedding cake. For my husband and I, it was more important that we have a delicious tasting cake than a show stopper wedding cake. But that's not to say their cakes aren't gorgeous. Our wedding cake turned out exactly how I had envisioned it and got so many compliments on not only how good it was but how pretty it was as well. The staff was very pleasant to work with and made the whole experience stress free. I had no worries that our cake would not be there on time or that it wouldn't be delicious. We ended up choosing the flavors turtle and Boston creme. Both were crowd pleasers. We probably could have found a different place to do our cake for cheaper, but we decided to go with The Icing because we knew we could get the best tasting cake and the quality of service we wanted from the Icing.

s for the seasons, which was great for a fall wedding. Our cake was perfect and the cup cake designs were flattering to the cake. Everything was delicious!! I would highly recommend them for any occassion.
