About this vendor
Believe it or not, the story behind The i.e. Design House is a bit of a love story in and of itself. It all started in 2014 with Israel and Emily meeting and instantly connecting through their creative gestures for one another as well as their love for art. They found that many of their conversations in those first few months of seeing one another centered around art and creating. Israel was an artist who owned an art gallery in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, and Emily was a schoolteacher who enjoyed bringing creativity into her classroom but felt like she couldn’t do everything she wanted to do with that creative energy. The two fell in love and were married 2 years later. In planning their own wedding, and spending months creating a ceremony backdrop that would eventually become a staple “must see” for all First Friday goers, Israel and Emily decided that creating amazing backdrops, and wedding designs should not stop here. The two began their journey in the Wedding Industry offering both wedding planning, and wedding photography.
The i.e. Design House offers premium service, full service and partial service planning, as well as day of event coordination for weddings, corporate events, anniversary parties, non-profit events, vow renewals, and more. The i.e. Design House organizes, plans, designs, coordinates, and creates a day that is not only memorable for you, but leaves a lasting impression on all of your guests as well. Emily and Israel pride themselves on creating events that exceed all expectations, as they not only provide satisfactory service, but relationship- based service. Why sure, you are probably wanting your event to be seamless, but Emily and Israel want so much more than that for all of their clients. The i.e. Design House works with one goal in mind; to turn that day you’ve been dreaming of, into your reality. Should you choose to use i.e. Design to help plan, design, or coordinate your next, you most definitely will be glad you did.

Emily at i.e. Design made my wedding day flow seamlessly. I hired Emily for day of coordination and I’m so glad I did. I was worried about giving friends and family tasks day of an...
d the stress of it all but thankfully I hired Emily and she made everything happen. She helped me craft a timeline, joined us for our 30 day walkthrough at the venue and kept everything calm and moving on the big day. Do not hesitate if you’re considering a day of coordinator!
Our wedding was 8/17/24 - All I can say is Emily & Israel made our day so special! Emily is such a kind, smart, calm and classy woman that made our day something to remember. I kne...
w from the moment I sat down with her to chat and see if she was the planner for me, and I have zero regrets! By all means, ladies, HIRE A COORDINATOR. It is worth it. Not only did Emily plan a great day, but she also had some great recommendations for vendors to help stay within our budget. She had great ideas and suggestions. I loved brainstorming with her and figuring out how to make my day come to life. I kept asking her "So, when we're setting up..." and she would say, "You are not doing that - that is my job! Your job is to be the bride and enjoy your time getting ready with family and friends. We will talk about how you want everything set up before your day starts and then you go enjoy yourself in the Bridal suite and take the day in." When I heard that advice, I knew I was in good hands. From setup to tear down, she and her team were on it. As far as I know, my day was perfect!
Long story short, Emily with I.E. Design House is the best! From our first meeting, Emily made me feel completely at ease knowing I was in good hands. Emily handled everything from...
vendor coordination to bustling my dress and so much more. Working with Emily takes the stress out of the wedding day! I can't recommend her enough!
Having Emily and Israel as day-of coordinators is a decision I have absolutely no regrets about. Emily was easy to talk to about decisions month-of and truly embodied the type of p...
erson I think she knew I needed during the process! Day of, they were always a peaceful presence, and took care of so many little things. While I was a hyper planner, I feel confident that Emily would be a great help for gals who might need more planning support! There's definitely something to be said for the price of peace of mind, and they made the cost (which was still reasonable) very much worth it!
Emily and Israel were a necessity for the evening! My mom had planned it up to the day but so that she could enjoy the evening we hired The I.E. Design house and it was worth EVERY...
penny! Israel was professional, has such an amazing creative eye and assisted with set up and tear down for the evening, and he kept things running smoothly and timely. We had a meeting initially with Emily and then another prior to the wedding and they had every detail covered! Highly recommend you give this company your business, you won’t be sorry you did!
From our first meeting at the The Bauer to the end of our wedding night as she helped us back up our car, Emily and the i.e. Design Team were fantastic. The wedding day was seamle...
ss and we felt completely confident leaving all of our day-of logistics in the hands of these experienced professionals. With their support, we able to be so present and have the celebration we so deeply wanted.
I am so incredibly grateful to of had Emily as our wedding day of coordinator. She is the absolute sweetest and was beyond helpful. Emily was easy to talk to, accommodating, answer...
ed all my questions and made me feel so comfortable. She was not pushy or judgmental. She was calm yet authoritative and made our event run so smoothly. I am very thankful for everything she did for our wedding day. She helped make it fun and took away a lot of stress by communicating with all the vendors and making sure everything was lined up ahead of time. One of the biggest blessings was Emily helped set up and tear down everything for our wedding. We didn't have to worry about setting up for hours and putting family members to work. We loved that everyone was able to relax and enjoy the evening. I can not recommend Emily with i.e. Design House enough. She is truly the best wedding coordinator!!
We worked with Emily at i.e Design House as our Day-of-Coordinator. Emily was such a pleasure to work with! She helped my fiance and I work on our timeline way before the wedding w...
hen we realized we needed to start working with vendors on timing questions. The week before the wedding, she made me feel a lot less stressed knowing that everything would be in good hands with her. On the day of the wedding, she made everything go smoothly and I barely had to talk to any other vendors as she had everything under control. The week after the wedding she helped me edit an email I needed to send to a vendor which was above and beyond helpful. Thank you, Emily!
My husband and I worked with Emily to plan a wedding in KC in 4 months and from California--it was as stress-y as it sounds, and without her we could not have pulled it off. She i...
s very plugged in to some of the best vendors in KC and connected us with all the right people. Day of was amazing--> she created and designed such a beautiful space and truly made our vision come of life. I had zero concerns the day of, and if there were any mishaps I was blissfully unaware :) She handled all coordination with vendors, venue, etc, starting a few weeks out. On top of all this, she is truly such a lovely and supportive person (and so is her husband Israel). I'm grateful she was there to help create an incredibly special day for me, my husband, and our families.

ss. She was honest and straightforward about what to except and candid when she needed to be. Very organized and professional extremely knowledgeable about the whole process as well as cherished the significance of the day. We instantly felt like we were in safe hands when we met Emily. Great balance of friendly and sincere. We hardly had many vendors and she really helped our vision come to life as well as beyond what we imagined in a great way. They’re very plugged in with the Kansas City wedding industry and familiar with a lot of local vendors. She made the day of as magical as possible.
I cannot overstate how incredibly grateful I am to have chosen Emily with The i.e. Design House for our Day-Of Wedding Coordinator. She was professional, organized, oh so sweet, an...
d ensured our day was absolutely perfect! Her packages include SO MANY services that span from before to during to after your wedding day. Not only did she assist with the coordination of all of my many vendors, but with the coordination of everything my bridal party needed during our day. She also coordinated and physically assisted in setting-up and taking-down our decorations/desserts/etc., ensuring everything was in and out of our venue on time.
I have so enjoyed getting to know Emily and could not recommend her any more highly for any event!

s to make my vision come to life! On the day before our wedding, Emily picked up all our rentals and napkins/table cloths from our caterer. She had great communication with all of our vendors and we literally didn’t have to worry about anything the day of! Her and Israel did such an amazing job on our room flip and made it so beautiful. All of our guests were in awe of how everything looked. I would definitely recommend ie designs for your wedding planning needs! You will not be disappointed with Emily and Israel’s quality and attention to detail.

s about anything. After eloping in the Spring, we planned a wedding reception for friends and family later this year. I was convinced that I would be able to handle all of the planning details/organizing everything the day-of on my own, but after a few completely panicked phone calls to a friend she referred me to Emily (best wedding gift ever!) for day-of coordination. I am not exaggerating when I say that Emily is truly the reason why our reception went perfectly. I did not have to stress about ANYTHING - she handled all of the logistics, set up all the decor perfectly based on our conversations prior to the event, checked in with me just enough to make sure that I was looped in but never stressed, and organized the break-down of everything at the end of the night. I don' t know how we would have done it without her. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!
Emily and Israel.... they have been through it all with us! We couldn't have gotten married on October 2, 2021 without them. We first met Emily in 2019 (pre-pandemic) and had been ...
in regular communication since then. Whether it was an e-mail, phone call, FaceTime, or text Emily was always there to answer our questions and put our worries at ease.
One of the most impressive moments we had of Emily and Israel was when we gave them a 4 day notice to help us elope! ( A year prior to our wedding of 2021) She found us a venue, set it up beautifully, and Israel took the most beautiful elopement pictures afterwards! Our elopement was beyond special, intimate, and unforgettable.
We're so thankful to have met Emily and Israel. We could not have gotten married twice with out them!!
Emily and her husband were the absolute best part about of wedding! I feel like I’m a pretty organized person but Emily is another level. She honestly had suggestions I hadn’t even...
thought of and kept us on schedule. She always had a smile and knew what we needed even when we didn’t. A day of coordinator is a must at any wedding!!!
Emily is amazing! I had the best experience working with her to plan my wedding. We were originally supposed to get married in September 2020 but had to push to May 2021 due to the...
pandemic. Planning a wedding during this could of been a nightmare but Emily was there every step of the way. She went above and beyond during the initial stages to make sure we were making the right decisions and put my anxiety at ease. She truly listened to our vision and provided the best ideas in design and flow of our day. When she created the vision board for us I couldn’t pick just one because they were too good. She was so flexible and combined two of the boards for us for the final theme of our wedding. As for the day of, our wedding wouldn’t of been what it was with out Emily. When I first saw our decor I was speechless. Seeing her design come to life was so cool and the end result was stunning!! She kept the day running smoothly from start to finish. We had a few hiccups (due to venue) but Emily kept everything under control and keep the party going without a hitch. Her and Israel both made the day of so so amazing. I couldn’t of asked for a better team on our day. Emily is down to earth and calm but gets the job done. She was so great to work with and I highly recommend her highly to anyone looking for a coordinator (Trust me you need one) -Emily is the best!!
I get it. So many aspects of weddings are cost-prohibitive. But regardless of your budget, DO NOT get married without a planner and hire Emily if she has your date available. Ev...
ery inch and every minute of wedding day was perfect because of her. She will save you an immense amount of your time (which is valuable!), save you stress/headache/strife with your partner, and save you money (I literally promise you). When you have a total veteran who has seen and worked a hundred + weddings, they just know, and they just get it. Any idea you have, she will help you weigh pros and cons and never steers you a certain way out of ego or agenda. She also will think of a million tiny things that you could never think of. I can’t believe there isn’t a higher investment cost for having so much access to a pro who will always leave you at ease. Her 2020/2021 Covid practices/protocol were A++++++. While there are other really great planners in KC, even Emily will admit to that. But you won’t need to find out if you simply book her now.
I absolutely loved working with Emily from I.e. design house. Emily was amazing from start to finish! My wedding was absolutely perfect and it would not have been the same without ...
her. She came to my final meeting with the vendors and helped figure out everything! She took so much of the stress and anxiety about the wedding away from me. Emily even took my decorations home after the wedding so that we wouldn’t have to worry about them and allowed us to pick them up the next day. Emily truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. If you are looking for a wedding or event coordinator….. look no further. Emily with I.e. design house is amazing! I can’t say anything but good things about I.e. design house. She made my day stress free and spectacular!
I truly loved having i.e. working with us on our wedding. They were so helpful with moving things along and making sure we were prepped and ready for the day. You won't regret havi...
ng them at your wedding!
We can't say enough amazing things about Emily (i.e. Design House). Emily stuck by us for 2.5 years due to COVID and having to reschedule our summer 2020 wedding to July of 2021. ...
Emily was so kind and patient with us throughout this entire process. Emily is literally a wedding angel! As someone who felt clueless and concerned about the wedding process as well as planning from the east coast, our wedding day was seamless, and I attribute this to Emily. Emily checked in with all of our vendors prior to our wedding and worked closely with them the day of, which allowed me to feel completely present at our wedding and not worry about the day of stressors/transitions. Emily was also kind enough to provide rentals to us at a discounted price, and her husband built us a beautiful arbor for our ceremony! Anytime I had a worry or concern, I felt so much better knowing I could reach out to Emily, and she would know the answer. She is the best, goes above and beyond, and we cannot recommend her enough!
Where do I begin? Simply put, Emily goes above and beyond ALWAYS. We hired Emily as our day-of coordinator. To say she took care of everything is an understatement. She kept an ope...
n line of communication leading up to and throughout the day. I reached out to Emily a lot for recommendations and she was able to answer all of my questions. She made the space look so perfect and worked so hard throughout the entire day and into the night to ensure everything was perfect. It was so great not to have to worry about the coordination of vendors, set up, room flip, tear down, etc. etc. She did so much for us and I cannot recommend her enough!!
Emily was a complete rock star and we couldn't have had a successful wedding without her!

change and many other changes throughout the process, Emily was amazing and patient through it all and provided so many gorgeous ideas about the design of our wedding day. I actually cried when I walked into our wedding because of how stunning it looked and a huge part of that was thanks to her and Israel. They made my wedding day 100% stress free and took care of everything in order to make the day organized and run smoothly. I highly recommend using them for wedding planning, it will help take so much off your plate. I now have a new lifelong friend in Emily too! Love them so much!

emily had prepared for me which made decorating SO much easier after the theme was picked. Emily was so great at keeping the communication open and helping me pick out vendors that would work best with my theme! It was so great working with other vendors that they had relationships with and had worked for before so I was confident that they would come through. Israel was fantastic on our wedding day, he kept things calm, was available when I needed help and definitely made our room flip easy and calm. I would definitely recommend this dynamic duo for anyones future weddings!

rom the initial meet all the way until AFTER my wedding (I lost my veil and let me tell you, this girl hunted for it and gave it back to me!) Who do you know that would put in that kind of work even after your event?
We had our ceremony and reception at completely different locations making it extremely difficult to manage all of the moving pieces. Emily did absolutely EVERYTHING. She helped us build our timeline, shared it with our vendors, organized drop off and pick up times, set up and tore down our decor, and made our day THE BEST DAY EVER!! I can never thank her enough for all that she did, but I will tell every person I know (and people I don't know) all about her and her business.
If you think you don't need a planner, think again. If you still don't think you need a planner... keep thinking because YOU DEFINITELY NEED A PLANNER!
And Emily with i.e. Design House is the perfect one!
Emily and Israel did such an amazing job coordinating our wedding! Israel was our day of coordinator. Out of all of our vendors, my mom and my husband’s mom both mentioned how impr...
essed they were with him and all his help first. He put up decorations for us and totally cleaned up everything after the reception. He also just made sure the day ran smoothly. My family and I didn’t have to worry about a thing other than enjoying the day. Having Emily’s and Israel’s help was by far the best decision we made!
Emily is TRULY a life saver when it comes to the wedding planning and coordinating process. Emily went above and beyond (in my opinion) for a day of coordinator. She picked up deco...
rations at my house the week prior and attended our final walk through. Emily's team did AMAZING day of. She handled all of the little details (and big ones!) so that my family, my (now) husband, and I could fully be present and enjoy the day.
Looking back on our wedding day it truly wouldn't have gone so smoothly or been such a perfect day if we didn't have Emily and her team as apart of it. HIGHLY recommend!

HAD to have her as our wedding coordinator. She took care of everything that day and it was so relaxing for us. My husband says she was the best person we could have hired for our special day. She’s the sweetest and I love her so much!!

sted to all requests and truly cared about our wedding as well as us as a couple. She's super calm, cool, and collected while being totally on top of everything. I can't recommend her enough!
Emily was an amazing day of coordinator and we were very pleased with our experience! When it came to planning everything she was very knowledgeable and organized. I would even ask...
for various recommendations from time to time and she gave great options. She also helped us get a discounted price for some rentals and that’s something she was not obliged to do at all. The day of my actual wedding was perfect and she decorated the space amazingly. She brought my vision to life. In fact she exceeded what I imagined. My husband and I’s friends were a bit messy on the dance floor (spilled drinks a few too many times 😅) and I noticed Emily was there to clean it up immediately. I couldn’t recommend I.e. design enough!!
I.e. design is amazing! I had no idea where to even start with planning my wedding. Emily was always there for me and answered all my questions! I loved working with them and they ...
were so professional and committed to helping me have my dream wedding! If you need a wedding coordinator, I 10/10 recommend I.e. design house!!!
Wow! I could not write a good enough review to truly express how amazing Emily and Israel were! I was the bride that thought I didn't need a wedding planner, and then about 4 weeks...
before the wedding I started realizing that there were so many things that I didn't know who would do them! THANK GOODNESS, I found Emily and she literally took over and turned all my questions into a perfectly planned reality. Emily took the time to text and call about details that I wouldn't have even thought of. She made the most incredible detailed plan for all of our vendors and wedding party. She and Israel even went out and bought taco bell for our late night snack! The next day I had accidentally left my debit card with her, and she worked completely around my schedule to get it back to me the next day. Honestly, there was not a single hiccup at our wedding! (Or at least if there was, we never knew about it!) Our night wouldn't have been what it was if it weren't for The i.e. Design House! I really hope our paths cross again soon!!! xoxo
THE BEST INVESTMENT we made for our entire wedding.
From start to finish Emily and Israel made our event come together seamlessly.
I’m the cheapest bride you could meet. I got my...
dress second hand, did most of the decor myself, handmade my bridesmaids gifts. But I would have paid 3 x what I did for Emily and Israel’s help.
They did everything from help set up, arrange decor, make sure I was on time and where I needed to be to managing all the vendors, pick ups and deliveries.
I would highly recommend anyone who’s the diy type, shoe string budgetor to stop and make the investment in Emily and Israel’s services. They made my day flawless. I would have been a MESS without them. I’m so grateful for the skillful help and support they gave.
Hiring The i.e. Design House to plan/coordinate our wedding was the best decision we made for our big day. Neither of us had any idea what we wanted our wedding to look like. They ...
were able to give us a multitude of color schemes and themes to choose from and adjust based on our feedback. They took the time to truly get to know us and capture our individual styles into one flawless look. Their communication was wonderful throughout the whole planning process. They kept us up to speed on what they were accomplishing in the background and let us know when we needed to make decisions/get something done. They were also willing to meet with us as many (or as few) times as we wanted and were extremely flexible around our schedules. The i.e. Design House was able to refer us to a variety of trusted vendors, arrange meetings with them and accompany us to those meetings. Having The i.e. Design House there on our wedding day made it easy for us to relax and enjoy every moment. They took care of the decorations, day-of schedule, corralling our wedding party and family for efficient photos, assuring the vendors were where they needed to be on time and much more. They also did all the floral arrangements, which were unbelievably perfect! We look forward to working with them again in the future!!
The i.e. Design House took creative control of our very vague description of what we thought we liked, and turned our wedding into everything we dreamed of AND MORE. Communication ...
was effortless. Planning steps and timeline were clear, and "deadlines" were never a worry. The i.e. Design House kept us on track, on time, on budget, and as a result if there was any "crunch time chaos" as our big day approached, we never felt it. They were with us from engagement to "I Do" and every detail was planned and executed far beyond what we could have imagined. Their network of vendors is broad, and allowed us to choose well within our budget. Day of coordination was seamless. The i.e. Design House allowed us to sit back, relax and enjoy our day, knowing that everything was in good hands, and we didn't have to worry about anything other than walking down the aisle and celebrating with our family and friends. The floral arrangements were gorgeous. Guests have been raving about how beautifully the venue was decorated. The only "bad" thing I can say is: I'm sad it's over. I look forward to many, many more years of leaning on The i.e. Design House for all of our event planning needs.

onsistent communication, being so familiar with the area, her organization and her calm demeanor our wedding wouldn’t have turned out like it did!
