Morris was our photographer for our Fall wedding, and he did SUCH a wonderful job. He was very understanding and very friendly, helping me and my husband (who aren't natural models whatsoever) to loosen up, have fun, and look good! We had him for 4 hours, which let us get photos of the ceremony, 2 separate locations for couple photos, and a good part of the reception. The photos turned out gorgeous, far better than we had dared to hope! We've already gotten tons of compliments on them - some look like they belong on a movie poster. We highly recommend Morris if you want high-quality photos.
Morris photographed our elopement in the Tetons in June 2019. I'm blown away by how well the photos turned out. He was able to capture the emotion and feeling of the day to a T and the candid moments he caught were really special. Lighting, color, composition, all wonderful. He's a true artist, AND he was fun and relatable, too. Responsive, reliable, experienced, detailed, and tenacious to get his shot. Highly recommended!
My experience at the wedding with Morris was good, although as his previous reviews have said, you must tell him things that you want, and remind him. He did miss taking a picture of my husband stepping on the glass. I mostly want to caution folks against ordering the wedding album. Please DO NOT waste your time or money. It is extremely overpriced($1800) and the finished product...when it finally arrives(13 plus months after the wedding), is meh!
Really it was less then stellar, the book felt like it would fall apart if picked up more then a few times. We have it on a high shelf in a bag, not out to be shown, which is a shame for such an expensive book. The other qualm is he "off grid" a lot of the time without access to email or phone access, so if discussions need to occur, they have to be on his timeline, when he is around. His first love is photography, which you can tell in his pictures, but his priority is not getting things done in a timely fashion. Again, love the photos, dislike the timeline, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS the overpriced album.
Morris is a great photographer, he knew some really perfect spots to take my husband and I for some outdoor photos with the Tetons and great winter photo opts! He had our photos back to us in about a month and a half and was great about posting them online as well as giving us a CD so we can always go back and print off more or share with our friends and family. He was very friendly and organized! He catches what many photographers don't have the eye for, the special moments. The ones that you want to remember, which I think it so important because it gives you a glimpse into that special day. Thanks again to Morris for capturing our day and making it perfect!
Morris was fantastic to work with on our wedding day! He was very patient with everyone running around like crazy trying to get it together before the ceremony. He got a bunch of wonderful pictures that captured our day perfectly!
If I had one suggestion it would be to tell him exactly the things you want pictures of (ie: your inlaws dancing, a nice picture of your parents, the setting sun, etc..). Because he is a one man team, he cant be everywhere at once but makes the most of every shot.
