The Ink House in Edwardsville was the perfect venue for our wedding reception, and I can't recommend it highly enough! This beautifully restored building has such a cozy feel to it..., especially for a fall evening like our wedding was on (10/24/25), with the brick details, candlelight, and string lighting on the ceilings and just all the natural light that comes in at sunset. It fit our wedding vibe of being timeless, inviting, and romantic. From the moment we walked in, we were so thrilled to see our vision come to life and the color scheme that fit what I had imagined. The team was so nice to work with and made it seamless all the way leading up to the wedding with their communication on the phone and emails (answering my many questions!), on the day before when we dropped off some items, to the night of making us feel like we could truly relax and they had it together. I think another big stressor off my shoulders was just knowing most of the decor was all being rented from them so cleanup was easy, the vendors they suggested were familiar with the venue, and even the florist works with their team so she was able to make everything look beautiful in a space she was used to working in. I wanted to emphasize again the staff, especially Joanna, were incredible to work with. They genuinely made us feel like our wedding was their top priority. They handled all the little details so smoothly that we could just focus on enjoying the day with our family and friends. We loved how versatile the layout was too and how we could personalize that with the tables we needed and our own sweetheart table, and overall it gave us plenty of room for all our guests to dine, dance, and celebrate comfortably, while the Off the Record area was ideal for our cocktail hour, and then the lobby area had our photo booth and audio guestbook. Our guests raved about the venue, and many said it was one of the most unique and photogenic spots they'd seen for a reception. The downtown Edwardsville location was super convenient, with easy parking and that charming small-town vibe right outside the door. If you're looking for a venue that feels special, has character, and comes with a team that truly cares, The Ink House is it. Even if you get married in St. Louis like we did, it's worth it making the reception to be here in a place that feels perfectly romantic and in a safer area away from the busyness of the nearby city. We felt so lucky to celebrate there, and it made our wedding reception unforgettable :)
