From the very first email we sent in March to inquire about our preferred wedding date, Aimee was incredible. She scheduled a viewing for us within a week, and we immediately fell ...
in love with the property—even with it buried in snow after a late March storm!
Throughout the planning process, Aimee’s communication was exceptional. She responded to emails within hours, even as the busy wedding season began, which gave us so much peace of mind. We rented the Inn and the Stone House for the entire weekend for our family and wedding party, and as our 6-year-old ring bearer said, it felt “like a luxury home.”
Aimee was present on our wedding day, just as she had promised, but she stayed gracefully in the background, making sure everything ran smoothly. From start to finish, she helped make our wedding at Grace Farm truly feel like a fairy tale come true. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful setting or a more supportive venue team.
One thing to be aware of when planning: Grace Farm has two preferred caterers, and there’s a $700 fee if you choose to work with someone outside that list. One of the preferred caterers wasn’t available for our date, so we went with the other, The Roving Feast. While the food itself was excellent, the lack of clear communication and multiple errors during the planning process made things unnecessarily stressful. If we could do it again, we’d gladly pay the additional fee to work with a caterer we trusted to handle the details more carefully. We cannot, in good faith, recommend The Roving Feast to any couples who plan to get married at Grace Farm.
That said, the venue itself and Aimee were absolutely outstanding. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run, and truly magical wedding experience.
Such a beautiful place. Everyone was so nice. Wonderful wedding
I hate to write this review but unfortunately, here we are. My husband and I got married at the Inn at Grace Farm on 11/11/22 and our experience was less than pleasant. I would nev...
er recommend this venue to anyone sadly.
1.Venue changes and failure the notify me sooner
Aimee the owner has failed to notify any of her couples about the fact that her barn has completely changed colors. THIS BARN IS NO LONGER RED and this venue is actually lying about what their venue looks like now.
Aimee emailed me one week before my wedding notifying me that their remaining arch was damaged. Aimee has advertised in the past a birch arch on social media and also to me verbally. Now both of her arches are broken and now there are NO arches on their property.
2.Failure to provide venue details
I specifically asked for details from their venue that I never received that Aimee promised she would get to me (the circumferences of the lights). This was a really important part of my vision for the decor that we did not get to see come to life. I specifically asked Aimee in person and Aimee claims that she never met me so I don’t really know what to say other than I literally recorded our entire walkthrough and I have video proof that she was there and that she did meet me. More on that on the next point.
3. Self-guided tour
Upon our arrival at the inn for our tour of the venue my now husband, one of my bridesmaids, and I felt a lack of willingness to show us the lodging side of the venue. While Aimee did come into the barn with us for the actual event space I would just caution her this, just because we had booked the venue already doesn't mean that we haven't already started thinking about the experience that we are having with you. We showed up maybe 10 minutes early to the showing I do admit that and we were willing to wait but I thought that she would walk us through all the parts of the houses and the venue. I do venue tours with my couples all the time (I’m a wedding photographer) and the venue folks are there and VERY present. Showing us all the cool features of the venue, all the cool photo spots ( because ya know I'm the photographer). You are the only person I have ever had a hands-off venue tour with and I'm so sad that it was for my own wedding.
4.Failure to clean the property
Ok we are now on our wedding weekend and we arrive at the inn and we inspect the rooms and we find that most of the rooms were not properly cleaned. They left hair rollers from the previous guests were left on the floor. We found a dirty Kleenex in a drawer with god knows what in it. Dead bugs lined all the windowsills. Most of the doors did not close properly. We had to close ours with a chair. The blinds did not roll up properly in our room. Most of the bathrooms did not have restocked toiletries. It was a mess.
4.Unsafe venue
The barn itself has electrical issues. During the reception, the entire barn almost burn down because their outlets were short-circuiting and were sparking out like nobody’s business. This caused the lights to flicker and ultimately fry all of the twinkle lights on the ceiling. This building is NOT SAFE. It is a total fire hazard and we were concerned all evening.
In addition to this, the stairs going to and from the houses to the barn do not have any lights and it is extremely dangerous at night. At least 5 guests slipped and fell. There are no railings. The wood steps going up to the house our deteriorating. I twisted my ankle on one of them.
If there was an ability to give more than 5 stars I would happily do so. We rented the Inn and the Stone House for our entire wedding weekend and our family and friends were blown ...
away. Not only is Aimee incredibly great to work with, but the venue is outstandingly beautiful, clean, and welcoming. So much so that we decided to also have our rehearsal dinner.
We loved the versatility of the space, the beautiful view of the mountains, and the rambling accommodations of the two residences. Also - the fact that Aimee knows many of the vendors was key. Not only could she give us recommendations, but she was able to contact our rehearsal dinner caterer directly to quickly adjust when they ran up against a last minute issue with a stove. It was fantastic!
The inn and the stone house were perfect for the bridal party to stay and get ready over the weekend with their partners. Not only were we able to settle in and spread out, but our hair and makeup teams were completely impressed with the spacious set-up for their services.
If you're looking for a gorgeous "barn" setting with accommodations and a GORGEOUS view, I can't recommend this place enough.
The venue is absolutely beautiful and Aimee was a pleasure to work with. Getting married during a pandemic definitely added to the already stressful task of planning a wedding, how...
ever Aimee didn't miss a beat and was so calm and accommodating. I picked this venue because it has an updated aesthetic that no other inn in Vermont seems to have. From the actual inn and stone house lodging, to the wedding barn, the aesthetic is perfect. The barn itself is SO gorgeous, it made the decor aspect so easy. All of our guests commented on how lovely the venue itself was and the gorgeous views from the property. Aimee was always super responsive and full of ideas and wedding knowledge.
10/10 I could not help but share our experience of the most perfect wedding day thanks to the The Inn at Grace Farms and it’s amazing owners! The views are astounding, the farm gro...
unds are immaculately maintained with the most beautiful flowers and vegetation, and the stone building and circular barn are so incredibly charming. Every aspect of this place is absolutely picturesque lending to so many stunning photo opportunities. This is a destination wedding! We fell in love with this place from the moment we walked the grounds and knew this place was the ONE! It exceeded every expectation and every dream we had for our wedding. A huge thank you to Aimee who is so remarkably thoughtful and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right for us and offered additional special touches that only added to the elegance, charm and perfection we found all around us at Grace Farms. Highly recommend! We will forever be thankful for our wedding there and for all the amazing photos by Amy Bennett that captured the memories of that blessed day at a place that can only be described as heaven on earth! Words cannot fully express how perfect our experience was. Thank you immensely!
Great people, great venue, great service. Our August 2018 wedding was just what we dreamed up. Aimee was a pleasure to work with and helped us coordinate a great party. I would hig...
hly recommend this venue. Highly professional and helpful. Support VT Small Business!
My daughter fell in love with this place as soon as she saw it. It was just what she wanted and the owner. Aimee was so sweet and professional. She answered a lot of questions an...
d gave advice, even about things not related to the venue. Unfortunately due to current world circumstances we had to postpone the original wedding day. Aimee was great to keep in touch with us during this stressful time and work with us on making changes and to make adjustments to comply with new Covid restrictions. We were able to make the changes needed and greatly appreciate having such a wonderful person to work with through this and at such a beautiful location!
I am truly heartbroken to have to write this review. My fiancé and I booked this venue in March of 2019 for our Summer 2020 wedding- at which time a deposit of half ($3200) was pai...
d. Then, of course, COVID19 hit. Aimee (the owner) was very reassuring that we would be able to postpone our date if we needed to. Today before the rest of our total was due for our August 29th wedding we received extreme concern from our other vendors about the safety of moving forward with our wedding. As of now weddings in Vermont our discouraged by the State and not allowing gatherings larger than 10. We also have 90% of our guests coming from out of state.
Upon calling Aimee today we were informed we can only reschedule for a Friday or Sunday instead of the Saturday we originally had booked. This is not something that was ever mentioned previously. We were informed she is keeping Saturday's open for NEW bookings only in 2021. You can decide for yourself whether this was a fair compensation from a woman who has had $3,200 of our money without providing a single service. However, I found this completely appalling and what's worse is she will now not refund any of our money. Current paying customers, in my opinion, should take precedence over potential future customers.
I understand this is unprecedented times but believe me when I say this is my ONLY vendor that has not been accommodating.
Just beware before paying out your hard earned money to this venue because you are nothing more than a transaction.
We couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue than the Inn at Grace Farm. The views of Mt Mansfield made for a perfect backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. The property itself was gor...
geous for photos with fall folliage and the beautiful barn and views. The round barn for the reception was perfect in size, style, cleaniliness. Our families stayed the entire weekend at the inn and the stone house that can be rented. Perfect way to make it a weekend long event and not worry about transportation. Aimee was so easy going and amazing to work with! My tons of emails and texts were responded to quickly and she made sure we had everything we needed. ALL of my vendors worked so well together to make things happen! I would definitely recommend this place. I can't think of a single thing that went wrong on our day. It was absolutely perfect thanks to Grace Farm!!
Aimee and Chad were so helpful throughout the entire process. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the barn was perfect.
We really could not have asked for a more beautiful venue for our wedding day. Aimee, one half of the couple who owns the venue, was incredibly helpful and accessible before, durin...
g, and after the wedding. Our wedding was small (60 people) and the October Barn was a perfect size for this number of guests. We had the ceremony outside, which gave us an amazing background of the Vermont mountains. The only problem - which is nothing that can be changed, so it is absolutely no fault of the venue - is that the road runs right alongside the ceremony site. This made for a couple of moments during the ceremony where we had to wait as cars/trucks drove by before we were able to speak.
A total of 21 people (our family and wedding party members) stayed at the Inn, and we all loved it! It was a great size and very cozy, and it was nice to stay at the same location as the reception and ceremony.
Overall, it was perfect, and we are so happy that we chose this as our wedding venue!
Aimee is simply the best. We had a terrible experience with our first venue which caused us to have to look for another venue with just 3 months to go till the wedding... I had fra...
ntically reached out to aimee to see if they had our date available and she responded quickly explaining that they only do 1 wedding per weekend, and they already had one booked for the day before our date..but because of this special situation, and because she felt terrible for us..she let us use the space and also worked hard to do a quick turn over from one wedding to the next. And let me just say, going through that stressful time in which we pulled out of the original venue, lost our deposit, and frantically had to find a new place...was WORTH IT! the inn at grace farm is incredible! The views are great, the barn is so beautiful, the inn is more than charming. Everything about the venue was so perfect... my guests raved about how amazing the location was. We truly felt like we were in a dream. Aimee is so sweet, and we owe her more than we can ever give for her graciousness and hospitality. simply perfect in every way.
Jason was so nice and helpful! The venue has the most magnificent view of Mount Mansfield and the barn is brand new in tip top shape! They gave us freedom to set up as we pleased a...
nd offered assistance if we needed it. I could not have asked for a better wedding day and venue. plus the barn is heated! :)
