The Inn at Penn - A Hilton Hotel

was beyond frustrating. She was inflexible, unreachable, and downright disrespectful every time we spoke. Weeks would go by in between communications when the questions were very simple (ex: what would it cost to do consumption based drinks versus open bar?). She kept saying she "needed to check" and would get back to me. Then she'd disappear and was totally unresponsive to the emails, calls and voicemails I would send during a few week period. I was always friendly, cheerful, and understanding when I reached out, just hoping I could get some form of response from her. Every time I spoke to Kaitlyn it felt like I was bothering her, and she was extremely condescending. She is also a new employee, so I'm not sure if this was her insecurity showing through when I'd ask her questions she didn't know the answer to. We finally set up a meeting to discuss the details - my wedding planner and I both drove from 3 hours away to meet with her, and she had NO answers to any of the questions we had provided to her beforehand. Literally not a single one. She said she'd "check", and then disappeared yet again. The next time I finally got a hold of her, she said she had given away our date to someone else. This was MONTHS of going back and forth with her (mind you, we were dying to put down a deposit and lock down the space) and she gave it away to someone else!!! We could've spent all that time finalizing the details with another venue, and we were back to square one just a few months out from our wedding date. Ladies, you deserve so much better than this time-consuming, frustrating, and disrespectful experience. You deserve to be treated better, not only because it's your special day and you're spending so much money, but also because YOU'RE A HUMAN BEING who deserves BASIC HUMAN DECENCY. I did not deserve to be talked to in the tone and manner with which Kaitlyn treated me - I have no idea why I even put up with it for as long as I did. We found an amazing hotel nearby that is much nicer, much less expensive, and has been kind, welcoming and accommodating every step of the way. I can't tell you how important that is when you're planning the biggest day of your life - save yourself the heartache and tears, and go elsewhere. Shame on you, Kaitlyn, Nancy, and the rest of management for allowing this to happen - Kaitlyn should NEVER have been hired for a customer service position!!!!

rrect number of rooms. Then the link that they gave us for reserving rooms wasn't working. When guests called to make reservations because the link wasn't working, the front desk had no knowledge of our block. Later, we extended our block reservation but the link, again, did not function and again the front desk had no knowledge of our block. In addition, my mother-in-law had lots of trouble just getting in contact with somebody about setting up a brunch after the wedding. Finally, they screwed up the billing after our stay. The stay itself was wonderful and I loved the rooms but the service before and after was just terrible.

and the guest rooms are updated and very comfortable. All of the staff I interacted with were so friendly and professional. On the day of the wedding Michelle was the point person who took care of all the vendors, so my family and I didn't have to worry about coordinating all that and could enjoy ourselves. One of the best things about this venue is the bridal suite that is included in the wedding package. The attached sitting room area is huge with great windows. My bridesmaids and our moms and I were all able to spread out and get ready together without being crowded in a tiny guest room. There was plenty of room for the people doing our hair and makeup to work, and for the photographer to capture it all. I was so so happy with how smoothly everything went on my wedding day and how great Michelle was to work with.
