Our August 2024 wedding went so perfectly thanks to Jayson and the team! For the year leading up to the wedding, Jayson answered all our questions, got us any DIY measurements we needed, and let us visit the space multiple times! We DIY'd most of our decorations which required a lot of planning, ladders, and set up time all of which Jayson helped with. He truly helped us bring our vision to life. The food and drinks were so good and we are still getting compliments on the lobster rolls from the cocktail hour. If you are considering the Inn on Peaks Island for your wedding, book it! You will not be disappointed!
We got married at the Inn on Peaks on 9/28/24. To start with, the venue and the staff are incredible, both as the bride/groom planning the event and for the guests attending the event. Our wedding party rented out the Inn for the weekend, the room and staff attention were great. The food is top notch and we are still receiving compliments on it weeks after the wedding. The best part of holding your wedding here is Jayson - he is extremely attentive, helpful and detail oriented and makes the whole process and wedding weekend smooth and easy for the couple. We were planning this remotely from Colorado and having everything included in the Inn (linens, tent, menu, drinks, ceremony, etc.) made things so much easier for us. Our many thanks to Jayson and his wonderful staff for the wedding weekend of our dreams
I got married at the Inn on Peaks Island this past Saturday (9/14/24) and I can’t recommend this venue enough. When I was first looking at venues last spring, I was a bit hesitant on booking only because my original vision wasn’t quite the same as this venue, but I am SO GLAD I went forward with it. I grew up in Cape Elizabeth, was proposed to at Portland Head Light, and got married on Peaks Island, it was meant to be!
The guest rooms:
SO BEAUTIFUL!!! My family was able to book every single room available in the inn, so it almost felt like a big sleepover. I slept in the Great Diamond Suite and it was the most gorgeous room I’ve ever booked. It didn’t quite feel like a hotel room, it felt more like a bedroom at home. The furniture was comfy, the room was extremely spacious, and I love the huge balcony overlooking the ferry. This was the room I put on my wedding dress and hid from my guests before the ceremony, and I was able to secretly watch all of my guests arrive.
The venue:
Okay, where do I begin? This venue is so beautiful and feels so upscale. All of our guests entered through a gate leading straight to our ceremony. We had a curtained off area where the party lined up and exited to after the ceremony. There is a HUGE patio with a secondary bar, tent for dinner, bay view room for dessert and dancing. The way these spaces are decorated are so beautiful with all of the plants. The tent itself has chandeliers with draping and a floor. The entirety of it was like a dream! I opted for very candle heavy centerpieces, because the venue itself has so many well maintained gardens especially lining the back wall of the tent (typically directly behind a head table or sweetheart table). The way the tent illuminated with candles looked magical.
The food and drink:
Again, 10/10. Loved all of it. Probably the best butternut squash ravioli and lamb I’ve ever had. We had a food and beverage minimum to meet, so I opted for the raw bar. If you are a big oyster of the half shell fan, I highly recommend the raw bar. They serve it on a mini boat!!!!
The staff (other than Jayson because he requires a different paragraph):
Every single member of staff made me feel so at home. We had an extreme level of help through the entire weekend. We had help unloading my mildly ungodly amount of candles and luggage, people kept coming over to introduce themselves, they all made sure my husband and I were taken care of on the wedding day. I was a bit nervous about not eating my meal because we had to go to sunset photos before the meal was served, but they made sure we had a chance to sit down and eat before dinner ended. Let’s give it up for Tomas, he’s so cool! Him and my husband had a chance to nerd out about history stuff, and he also was so awesome about getting us to a private area to eat some oysters and strawberries during cocktail hour!
Jayson (Larry The Lobster)
Jayson is KILLING IT. From the day I toured the venue to wedding day, he answered every single silly little question I had and eased so much anxiety leading up to the wedding. He put so much care into creating a comfortable and inviting venue, and you can really tell. My nerves basically diminished on the wedding weekend because I knew he had everything under control. I always looked forward to my trips to the inn because I could discuss the wedding knowing he understood everything and was confident in his position. If you have your wedding here, play Rock Lobster on the dance floor
Any questions?
Jayson, the wedding coordinator at the Inn on Peaks, was incredibly thoughtful and easy to work with. He clearly understands his job very well and knows how to work with couples to explore the possibilities of the venue, understand their personal touches and requests, and set everything up to come together perfectly on the day itself. I hadn't originally planned to have a day-of coordinator, but I'm so glad it was part of the package because I felt completely taken care of that entire day. We were planning the wedding from out-of-state, but I felt as comfortable with the process as if we'd been local. One extra benefit that I loved but would never have thought to look for is how the local network of wedding vendors all knew the Inn and knew Jayson and had worked together before. It was extremely reassuring to see how well they got along, and I feel grateful to have been connected to so much professionalism and expertise. I feel like I was lucky to stumble into it, but would definitely recommend others go looking for the same. One last shoutout to Jayson is I really loved his flexibility around our rain plan on the day itself — the sky was overcast and rainy all morning, but started to clear a few hours before the wedding. Jayson told me he only needed 5 minutes before we started to call it for indoors or outdoors, and we ended up being able to have the ceremony outside. Either option would have worked, but I loved that we were able to hold out for the weather to clear (and while I can't credit Jayson for having cleared the weather for us, as far as I'm concerned he deserves it!). A truly wonderful venue and wedding package. It makes me want to come up with other events we can hire them for :)
As all the other reviews have said, Jayson at the Inn on Peaks was truly incredible to work with. He was super responsive in answering our many questions and requests throughout the planning process and executed everything perfectly. Most importantly, he was fun to work with and made us feel at ease. Plus, the venue itself is gorgeous! The grounds and gazebo are beautiful for an outdoor ceremony, there are cool indoor-outdoor rooms with seating for cocktail hour, there’s a beautiful new tent with draping and chandeliers for dinner, and there’s space inside the inn for dancing.
If you are looking for a beautiful wedding in Coastal Maine and wanting to decrease your stress throughout the planning process, I cannot recommend the Inn on Peaks Island enough! Jayson and his team go above and beyond in every way. From our first tour of the venue and the tasting to the wedding day itself, we felt so comfortable at the Inn. It really is a venue that has everything: delicious food (our guests are still raving about the quantity and quality of the food we had at our wedding, especially the scallops!), a beautiful ceremony site (it rained on our wedding day but Jayson was tracking the weather all day to ensure we could have the wedding we wanted), and a lovely reception space (The new tent is gorgeous and gives you a wonderful view of the garden regardless of the weather during dinner. In addition, the little vignette spaces allow for older guests to relax as well as for you to take some very cool photos. Finally, the dance floor area inside feels intimate without feeling crowded and looks incredible with uplighting). Jayson and his team set up our entire wedding and even served our dessert. By the next morning, they had taken everything down and packed it up for us. It is also awesome to have access to a getting ready suite at the venue and you can have your entire wedding party and honored guests stay at the Inn. It was so exciting and helpful from a time management perspective to be able to wake up where we needed to be on our wedding day. We were able to have most of our wedding party stay in the top floor apartment and it was great to be able to keep the party going there well into the morning. In case this is your plan as well, our other guests at the Inn said they could not hear a thing from their rooms during this time and slept soundly. Finally, I cannot overstate how helpful Jayson was throughout the planning process and our wedding day; knowing we had a professional who knows how to handle every type of disaster on our side was really helpful in terms of alleviating stress.
If you want to get married on an island in Maine - get married here! We spent hours riding around on various ferry’s to visit different wedding venues before we found the Inn on Peaks Island. At first we were a little hesitant because the Inn isn’t right on the water (like some of the other venues we saw) but we were sold after visiting Peaks and meeting Jayson. The week of our wedding, we were SO glad that we picked this venue - Jayson went above and beyond to smooth over the more difficult logistics of island wedding planning. We also learned from experience that the frequency of the ferry’s to Peaks & the short, 15 minute ferry ride make a huge difference when you, your guests, and your vendors have to go back and forth. The day of our wedding, Jayson and his team took such great care of us and went out of their way to create special moments for us to take it all in and savor the food and the whole experience. We are so glad we got married here!
My partner and I had our wedding here in October 2022, and everything was BEYOND perfect. Jayson and his team were extremely accommodating and helped us plan the perfect wedding throughout the whole process. The vendor list and other pieces of advice throughout from Jayson and the team helped us navigate the planning process and make everything amazing. The Inn and the area are both extremely beautiful, and all of our guests (both near and far) had a great time and a Maine experience. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to plan a wedding or just a nice stay off the coast of Portland. We also rented a room for the night at the Inn, and the room was very comfortable. We were well taken care of, even being offered an early check-in to help us get settled before our ceremony. The restaurant was closed early for the year, which was not a big deal to us, but they went the extra mile and offered us complimentary breakfasts at a local restaurant.
Again, highly, highly recommend, and we owe Jayson and the Inn so much! Thank you!
We cannot recommend the Inn on Peaks Island highly enough. We had our small wedding on New Year's Eve so made use of both the Bay View room and the attached heated/covered patio. Jayson and his team were meticulous in helping us think through every detail of the day. Jayson is in a tier of his own when it comes to service professionals. Over the 13 months, we were planning our wedding, he was responsive, kind, and resourceful. We had our families and wedding party stay in the Inn which has been beautifully renovated. We had a brunch wedding with an incredible spread: the food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
This is not a venue that is trying to give you a cookie-cutter wedding - they offer everything that you could need, but also want to ensure that your vision comes to life. A few examples: a few weeks before the wedding we asked if we could add a stout to our beer list. The bar is stocked by Shipyard and they were not able to get any in for the wedding. Jayson generously offered to go out to the grocery store and buy us some Guinness to ensure we had a stout on the menu. He was there on the 6:45AM ferry the morning of our wedding to open the salon and ensure my wife and her bridesmaids had breakfast. Finally, we had a few gluten-free guests and asked if they could mark which food was gluten-free: Jayson proactively offered several gluten-free options including making their signature lobster rolls with lettuce wraps so all of our guests could enjoy some Maine lobster. My parents flew into town back in October and we showed up on Peaks Island unannounced. Jayson dropped everything and gave my parents a full tour of the Inn on Peaks - they told us it was the highlight of their trip.
We researched so many venues along the Maine coast but as soon as we walked in the doors of the Inn on Peaks, we knew it was the place for us. If a one-stop-shop wedding venue on a quaint island with whole-hearted Maine hospitality is your cup of team, then book The Inn on Peaks.
As anyone reading through reviews will quickly learn, you cannot talk about the Inn on Peaks without talking about Jayson and his team. From the first day we met him he was nothing short of a delight, and he truly orchestrates the perfect wedding weekend. He was an amazing partner in decision making (covid delays, vendor recs, etc.), provided seamless coordination with vendors, and made our whole Peaks experience wonderful. Even our tasting was incredible with him playing host!
The venue is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the food is superb, the bartenders made our guests laugh - there isn’t a single wedding element that the Inn on Peaks doesn’t completely hit out of the park. With that as a base, and Jayson running the show the Inn creates the ideal wedding for any couple.
We can’t cover all the incredible effort and sublime care that Jayson and the team put into our weekend in this review but trust us, and the litany of other glowing reviews, that working with Jayson and the Inn on Peaks is a no brainer. You’re thinking, is he really that incredible? He really is. THANK YOU JAYSON!
My husband and I got married there this past July and we couldn't have been happier with this venue! Most of our wedding guests were coming from away, so we were looking for a venue that would showcase the great state of Maine. The Inn on Peaks did just that. Jayson was amazing. I was in an absolute state of bliss on the wedding day because Jayson was able to handle all of the details. The food was amazing. Everything was.... amazing. I couldn't recommend them more.
The Inn on Peaks Island blew us out of the water the minute we stepped foot onto the island. Jayson and Kiersten are an incredible team that made our wedding day flow so smoothly. From our initial tour to our food tasting to rehearsal walk through and the entire wedding day, if something went wrong, I had NO CLUE because the team was so phenomenal. Jayson was there to make sure everyone was where they needed to be and track down a stray family member for pictures.
I had created a greenery backdrop for the photo booth area and bought a stand to hang it off of with our last name on it.
Kiersten hung it up along the wall, carefully hung our wooden name sign on it, and added flowers to the wall that she asked the florist for. I had no idea this was happening until I went down before the ceremony and it brought tears to me eyes, as it was even better than I imagined. I cannot recommend the venue and the team enough. Every detail was executed flawlessly and my husband and I couldn't be more happier with our experience!
We had our wedding here on May 1, 2021. We could not have been more happy with the way everything turned out! First, the venue itself is beautiful, the food is delicious, and having a wedding on Peak’s Island creates a little mini destination wedding (even if you live in the Portland area already!).
Second, when we first booked with the Inn on Peaks, we had heard and read reviews about the Inn’s event coordinator, Jayson, being incredible. The reviews DID NOT DISAPPOINT. He was amazing, flexible, and so helpful. Anytime we needed anything, he was on it immediately. Even our guests noticed how hard-working he was and that didn’t even begin to illustrate how much he had done for us leading up to the wedding day! Kiersten was also a huge help and was always available and eager to help with anything we needed throughout our wedding weekend. We will never be able to thank Jayson and Kiersten enough for making our wedding weekend enjoyable and stress free.
One thing I would recommend if you do have a wedding here is to build in a few extra days around the actual wedding to enjoy the island— I wish we had done so because we didn’t get much time to do so with everything going on for the wedding!
Jayson and his team at the Inn on Peaks could not have done a better job for us. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Jayson made things incredibly easy for us both before the wedding and the day of. That we did not need to hire a wedding planner at all speaks to the level of service he provides. The Inn itself was the perfect space for a wedding of our size (~165 guests), and we were able to hold our ceremony on the front lawn - no guest transportation necessary. We also loved the food, both during dinner and cocktail hour. What we tasted was truly what we got on the big day. Overall, we felt like we were incredibly lucky that our wedding was so stress-free. Thank you Jayson!
I can't put into words how amazing Jayson and his team are at the Inn on Peaks. We got married on 9/7/2019 and Jayson truly is the best of the best. It gets me teared up just thinking about thoughtful he was, to me, my wedding party, parents, and the entire guest list. During the planning process Jayson made me feel so comfortable, answering every question I had (and trust me, there were lots). He made our wedding day the best day of our lives and was there every second to make sure I was having the best time. Jayson is a true professional and you can tell he loves what he does. He really just wants everyone to have fun and to celebrate love! The Inn is BEAUTIFUL and hands down the best venue there is. It was recently re-done so the ceremony and reception area looked even better than we originally thought. It was supposed to rain (Hurricane Dorian) the day of the wedding and within the last second before the ceremony the sun came out and it was the most perfect September day. The food is AMAZING - the lobster rolls are a MUST and the lamb lollipops were a huge hit. Our guests are still raving about the food. All of the preferred vendors are amazing and I highly recommend getting the full upstairs suite. Jayson even had wine ready for us the night before the wedding! He's just amazing. 5 stars isn't even enough to describe him. This is a true thank you from the bottom of my heart. The Inn on Peaks Island is the best venue - with the ferry, the water, the gardens, the food, the amazing stuff, everything! Thanks is an understatement. XOXOX
I can't say enough wonderful things about our incredible wedding reception at the Inn on Peaks Island, and the supportive team.
I'm a very Type A bride who planned 90% of the wedding remotely. Jayson was so easy to work with - always very quick on responses, provided clear explanations, and had everything that we needed to plan for our wedding. He provided guidance from other weddings without being too pushy, and even though I probably drove him crazy with all of the questions, he never acted like I was bothering him or an inconvenience. Especially on the days leading up to the wedding, Jayson and team were so extremely helpful! On our wedding day, Jayson did an incredible job keeping us on schedule, seamlessly following from activity to activity. I was blown away by his wedding coordination and really couldn't have asked for anything better. As someone who was so nervous about the schedule and coordination for the day of, I definitely shouldn't have been, as I felt taken care of the whole day.
For the Inn itself, it is a really beautiful location, with plenty of room to dance, sit outside, play games, etc. It was great that our guests were able to relax how they wanted. There was a lot of decorations that are included as well, which is great for saving money on purchasing decorations. The food was absolutely delicious as well - I would highly recommend the late night food if you are able to include that. Our guests are still talking about the late night lobster rolls and pizza.
The only downside is that it's hard to see from the dance floor, for the cake cutting and the first dances, but was small in comparison to all the amazing pluses of the venue.
We also loved the approximately to the beach (we had some great photos) and the Inn rooms on site!
Honestly, you won't be disappointed if you have your wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island. I would 100% recommend!
Can’t imagine a better place to have been married. The Inn is located on a gorgeous island off the coast of Portland, ME, via the most easy, quick ferry. Our guests loved the experience of getting there as it was so unique. The Inn premise is lovely. Thebuilding is cute and comfortable with 7 or 8 rooms. Highly recommend the Bride&groom stay in the Great Diamond room; spacious, comfortable and well lit for photographs. The outdoor area is gorgeous with lush greenery and a colorful flower garden. The tented area is also large and the layout is great (also a bonus to not have to arrange for your own tent to be put up!). One thing in particular that stands out is the Inn’s wedding coordinator, Jayson. A beautiful setting can only do so much, but having someone there to make sure the day goes smoothly is #1. And Jayson did just that. He is professional, yet easygoing and comfortable. He was patient and so responsive from the day we visited a year ago to the wedding weekend. He made us feel at ease all steps along the way, and passed along his knowledge as far as logistics, tips, vendors, and anything that could help make our day the best possible. The entire experience was top notch.
Just WOW. Wedding dreams accomplished! Sincere thank you to Jayson for the flawless amazing wedding venue and coordination and planning for a year. Super helpful the whole way through, best communication and care throughout the entire wedding planning process. Jayson and team, such a pleasure to work with. The food- gosh it was just perfect!! Everyone is still talking about it. Thank you for accommodating all of my GF needs and family/friends allergy needs. The pie display came out PERFECT- Thank you for setting this up, better than I could have imagined. Our entire immediate families stayed at the Inn, and it made our Peaks Island wedding weekend experience so full of memories. HIGHLY Recommend this wedding venue!
The Inn on Peaks Island is simply amazing! I'm still blown away at how amazing our wedding day turned out to be! The venue was beautiful and that sold us on it immediately, but the staff made it an even easier decision! They made the process easy and fun! We enjoyed every bit of our experience with the Inn from the accommodations to the food. It was a perfect day! Definitely recommend considering the Inn for your big day!
My husband and I got married at the Inn on Peaks in August 2018 and I cannot say enough good things about the venue and the entire staff, especially the wedding coordinator Jayson. Planning a wedding from out-of-state can at times be a bit stressful, but Jayson was always there to answer our questions and ease any concerns we might have. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provides for a relaxed, fun atmosphere for all your guests. Also, the food at the wedding was INCREDIBLE. All my friends cannot stop commenting on how amazing everything was and how many lobster rolls they were proud to have consumed. Needless to say, we were beyond satisfied with our choice to have our wedding at the Inn on Peaks and it will forever hold a place in our hearts. Do yourself a favor and go visit this special venue, if you're looking for a quintessential, heartfelt Maine wedding then this is your place. Thank you again, Jayson and team! We promise to not be strangers.
I can’t say enough about this venue and Jayson (event coordinator). With this being a destination wedding we needed someone we could trust for vendor coordination and Jayson was amazing every step of the way. The day of experience was perfect and Jayson did such a great job with every detail and made sure our guest experience was fantastic. The venue/setup is perfect for a reception and our guests loved every bit of it. We got so many compliments on the food which was delicious! Highly recommended The Inn on Peaks Island for your event!
Having our wedding at the Inn on Peaks was the best decision we made. We had a super easy time planning our wedding from out-of-state, mainly because Jayson is the absolute best at what he does. If you want to have a stress-free wedding, at a gorgeous venue, with amazing food and service, this is your place! Thanks, Jayson!
When you live 800+ miles away and have never been to Portland you rely heavily on reviews and people from the area to plan your destination wedding for 130 guests. The Inn on Peaks Island exceeded all of our expectations. The staff is extremely detail oriented, professional and timely. Jayson the wedding coordinator needs to be cloned as he made planning a wedding from afar as easy as it could be. The food was delicious, the garden was colorful, the service was impeccable and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you for helping give us the best day of our lives! We wouldn't change a thing and want to do it all over again!
I cannot express in words how magical our July 2018 wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island was. From start to finish, Jayson was a complete joy to work with- so professional, friendly, and a great sense of humor and disposition to help my husband and me, and our families, feel completely at ease. I was planning our wedding from out of state, and it truly was a very easy process with Jayson on our side. The day of our wedding, everything was taken care of and I didn't have to worry about a thing, which meant that I was free to live completely in the moment and enjoy every second. The actual space is completely gorgeous; many of our guests could not stop commenting on how well the grounds were kept and all the beautiful blooming flowers everywhere. The way the ceremony flowed into the reception tent which flowed into the dance floor was just the perfect set-up, and I loved that our guests did not have to travel anywhere once they got there. I'm still dreaming about how beautiful everything looked. The care that Jayson and his team took to make the day feel special is just beyond. They worked tirelessly all day to make the reception area look spectacular, and my dad even commented on how they polished each individual piece of flatware before putting it down on the table. The ceremony flowed flawlessly with Jayson helping keep us all organized. We had a buffet, and Jayson made sure that my husband and I had plates delivered to our seats with a bit of everything (including all our appetizers), as well as a cocktail, so that we didn't have to wait in line. Jayson was extremely organized and kept the day and events very much on time, but it never felt forced or rushed. It was SO MUCH FUN to have our guests stay at the Inn, and the accommodations we very clean and absolutely charming. My husband and I are still reliving what a wonderful day it was, and a HUGE part of that is because we chose to have our wedding at the Inn. I promise you will not regret having your wedding here and you will be so happy that you did. We really couldn't have dreamed of a better experience or wedding day.
Jayson and his team really pulled it all together and made the day perfect and stress free! Such a beautiful venue! The food was perfectly prepared and delicious!
We looked at a few other venues but were overwhelmed with all the details (most of the other places we looked at needed you to bring in caterers, wait staff, linens, chairs, tables, etc).
The Inn has everything you need for a perfect wedding (you add music, a cake, an officiant, and a photographer) and was an incredibly stress-free experience. They even have little things (table numbers, card box, signs, etc).
Jayson (event coordinator) was absolutely amazing - everyone has been telling us how seamlessly our wedding went. I'd like to take credit, but it was all Jayson!
Food was great, venue was beautiful, wedding was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Everything about The Inn on Peaks Island was absolute perfection, from the location, to the food, to the incredible event staff! I cannot speak highly enough of Jayson. He was kind, responsive, professional, and helped keep every step of wedding planning through the actual wedding day as stress free as possible. He was instrumental in making what we had envisioned our wedding day to be a reality, and he did it flawlessly. Numerous guests have said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, which is directly attributed to the efforts of Jayson and his amazing team. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and if we could we would relive it over and over again! We HIGHLY recommend choosing The Inn on Peaks for your Maine wedding – you will be SO happy you did!
The Inn, Jayson, and his staff are absolutely INCREDIBLE! From the very beginning when we were touring the venue until the morning after our wedding Jayson and his staff were there to help. I highly recommend the Inn not only for it's gorgeous location but for the food (seriously - people couldn't stop talking about how great it was) and Jayson. Everything was executed perfectly. Jayson and Victoria (plus the whole staff) were so professional, handled everything with care and absolutely rocked it. I could not be happier with how everything turned out. The amount of compliments we received have been endless and this is due to everyone at the Inn. Thank you for making our day perfect.
Jayson was amazing!! The food was perfect, the location was perfect, and the service was outstanding! Anytime there was a last minute change to be made or an unexpected snafu - Jayson took care of it without issue! He was the most helpful person and is THE reason our event went so well! We couldn't have done it without him. HIGHLY recommended! If I could do it all again I'd pick this location (and Jayson) - hands down.
Highly highly highly recommend the Inn on Peaks Island. Jayson and his team did a FANTASTIC job. Every interaction with Jayson and the inn was easy and professional from day one of our initial visit to the final day which was the best party I've ever been too and the best day of my life. We had MULTIPLE friends and family come up to us after our wedding and say this was the BEST they have ever been too. That is directly attributed to the beautiful setup the Inn has and the tireless efforts of Jayson and his team. Just a fantastic day at a fantastic place. Book your island wedding now!
-A very happy Geoff and Caitlyn
We had the most memorable experience that went without a hitch! We could not have pictured a more perfect wedding and The Inn On Peaks Island made that happen! We found Jayson to be so helpful in all of our planning and his recommendations were always perfect. If we could do it again, we wouldn't change a thing!
My husband and I were married at the Inn this past June, and I all I can say is WOW! The wedding director, Jayson, and his staff made everything about our day perfect and there is no way our wedding would have flowed as well without him. From the initial phone call to the day after the wedding, Jayson was helpful every step of the way with the vision we had for our wedding day.
All the guests commented on what a beautiful wedding venue it was, and loved the experience of taking the ferry over to Peaks Island. If you are looking for a venue that offers a beautiful atmosphere, great food, and a fun experience for your guests, The Inn on Peaks Island is the best venue. We cannot wait to go back a visit this fall to see the staff again and have a fun dinner on the patio!
We had a great wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island!! The wedding director, Jayson, was very supportive throughout the whole planning process and was a key player in making our special day a great success. The venue is beautiful and our guests loved the experience of traveling via ferry to this great destination spot. Our appetites were satisfied with the delicious hors d'oeuvres and entrees (we chose family style). We recommend this venue highly and wish we could do it all over again!
I had my wedding at the Inn on Peaks Island on 5/30/15 and let me start off by saying that the Inn was an absolutely outstanding venue to hold our wedding. From start to finish, the Inn exceeded expectations on all fronts.
When considering the Inn as a venue for your wedding, it’s important to consider a number of important elements.
- The venue is beautiful, clean, and very well taken care of. The space itself is in a great location near the water and catches an amazing sunset. The facilities have all of the amenities you could need for the event to go off without a hitch.
- The staff was incredibly hard working and friendly. Everyone had a smile on their face and was happy to help.
- The food..wow. The food was amazing. Everything tasted very fresh and was plated wonderfully. Our guests love all of the appetizers (especially the lamb chops) and the entrees were great. I had the scallops, which was a favorite amongst our guests. We also had the ice cream bars during dessert, which our guests loved.
A final critical advantage that the Inn had is Jayson, who runs the show for weddings at the Inn. It’s very clear that Jayson is a huge reason that our event was so memorable and that everything at the Inn was so spectacular. Jayson does an amazing job and is there for you every step of the way. If anything comes up, he’s there to help and solve any problems quickly. He clearly takes pride in his work and is always looking to improve the Inn for future events.
A big thank you once again to everyone at the Inn for making our wedding an amazing night!!
My fiance and I picked the Inn at Peaks because it was classy and elegant, but didn't have that country club stuffy feel to it. We totally lucked out with a beautiful night and our guests were raving about the venue. There was a nice breeze coming off the ocean, plus the sunset, it truly felt like a mini-destination wedding. The tented area where guests sit and eat is beautiful. We hung lanterns and decorated the tables with burlap runners and white linens. The guests moved from inside the Inn, to the tent, and cocktail tables outside throughout the entire evening. Jayson and the Inn were extremely accomodating. As a nervous bride, they brought me water, ginger ale, lunch, and anything me and my Bridesmaids needed during the day to get ready. Having the Spa available to us all day was great and helped with the logistics of the day. The organization was outstanding, the ceremony moved seemlesly into the cocktail hour, then finally the reception. Jayson made sure to bring us food first at the reception and even packed up our wedding cake and put it in our room at the Inn to take home. We loved this venue and our guests did too!
I planned my wedding at The Inn on Peaks from over 2,000 miles away- and it was absolutely perfect. The wedding coordinators really know what they are doing and ran my wedding after I had given them all the information- I was able to relax and trust them on my Wedding Day. Amazing food, beautiful scenery and wonderful, kind, helpful staff. I will never be able t0 say enough about them!
My husband and I were married at the Inn on Peaks Island in September. I cannot explain how wonderful Jayson Mathieu and Amanda Conley were to work with! They were the most professional and thoughtful people to plan your wedding with. The service they provided and their perfect execution of my vision for our wedding day was second to none. Unfortunately, it rained really bad the day of our wedding. I thought it would ruin everything but Jayson and Amanda worked with us during the rehearsal to ensure everything would go fine -- and it did. Our wedding was so wonderful, you would have never known it was raining outside! The Inn on Peaks Island is a gorgeous venue with amazing service! If you choose this venue you will not be disappointed!
The Inn on Peaks Island was the perfect fit for our wedding. The views and space are absolutely picturesque Maine. Amanda and Jayson were fabulous to work with and were always there to answer any questions we had throughout the process. They went above and beyond our expectations. The day had a flawless flow and they weren't too rigid on the exact timing of the day. Everything was very relaxed and the staff was very professional and friendly. The only disappointment of the day and the reason I couldn't do 5 stars was that the steak wasn't prepared as described. The chef had decided to "slow roast" the steaks rather than grill them without telling us. The explanation was that he needed to do that in order to get a more "consistent" product. It was not good at all and we were disappointed because we had talked it up so much after our tasting. It tasted more like a fatty Prime Rib than a juicy NY Sirloin. Other than that everything went off without a hitch!
Food was amazing, location is meticulously maintained and working with the wedding coordinators (Jayson and Amanda) was great!
