The Irene is a wonderful venue with the best staff. We used the venue for our wedding and felt well taken care of the entire night. Truly a gem of a place and would highly recommend!
We utilized The Irene for a corporate meeting for two days. The staff is excellent to work with and accommodating. The Irene is beautiful. We would defiantly use it again.

The Irene is an elegant wedding venue located in the heart of downtown Charlevoix, MI. Once a historic 1874 Methodist church, The Irene has been beautifully restored into a private event space that blends timeless architecture with modern sophistication.
This charming venue includes a romantic wedding chapel, open and airy banquet space, and a picturesque bell tower—perfect for unforgettable photo moments. Ceremonies are held in the breathtaking chapel, which features vaulted ceilings, a custom arbor, and seating for up to 270 guests. After exchanging vows, couples are invited to ring the original bell to mark the start of their celebration. The attached reception space can host up to 250 guests and showcases glimmering chandeliers, an expansive dance floor, and an open-concept layout ideal for personalized design and flow. For added comfort and convenience, The Irene offers two private suites for you and your wedding party to relax and prepare for your special day. Your wedding rental includes essentials such as tables, chairs, linens, and glassware.
The Irene is proud to offer full bar and beverage service and works seamlessly with a curated list of trusted outside catering partners to help you design a menu that reflects your taste and style. Just a few blocks away, The Earl, the venue’s sister property, offers chic accommodations for your guests and serves as the perfect home base for your wedding weekend. With shuttle service available or a short scenic walk between the two, guests will enjoy easy access to both venues while exploring the charm of downtown Charlevoix.
