Founded in 2016, Iron Fish Distillery is proud to be Michigan’s first farm distillery. Nestled along the scenic Betsie River watershed—home of the iconic Steelhead—our destination distillery welcomes over 100,000 guests each year to a stunning 120-acre agricultural property in Springdale Township, Manistee County. Once an abandoned farm, this land has been thoughtfully restored and is now a MAEAP-certified working farm and distillery.

Our beautifully renovated historic timber-frame Barn Venue offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. Adorned with bistro lighting, ceiling fans, and a cozy upper loft, the 38 x 80-foot barn is fully ADA-compliant and comfortably seats up to 150 guests, with accommodations available for up to 200.
Say “I do” beneath the canopy of mature maple trees in our serene outdoor ceremony space, which includes natural seating for up to 100 guests—ideal for intimate, woodland weddings.
Additional amenities include private getting-ready suites, a picturesque Farmhouse Airbnb rental just steps from the venue, and dedicated spaces for rehearsal dinners and pre-wedding gatherings.
As a working distillery, we’re proud to offer fresh, seasonal cocktails crafted on-site, guided tours, custom wedding favors, and stunning photo backdrops that showcase the beauty of northern Michigan.

efore my groom had seen it and when we went together for the first time a few months before the wedding, the owner and staff were all so excited to learn we were getting married at IFD. Then, working with Taylor was a breeze. We exchanged several emails to settle on the perfect cocktail menu and also had a phone call with her and my day-of coordinator to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was very helpful in securing a room for two of my guests who were new moms and needed space to pump. Taylor was around the entire evening and we felt so well taken care of. I highly, highly recommend getting married at IFD - you won't be disappointed!
