Nestled in Newton, KS, Wild Prairie Event Center is an indoor and outdoor wedding venue. The event center is located a short drive from Wichita, making it accessible to loved ones in the city and surrounding area. The clean lines and layout of this space create a contemporary feel while the decor gives a subtle, traditional nod. The result is a location that is accessible in more ways than one, allowing you a space to celebrate a memorable nuptial.
Wild Prairie Event Center boasts three spaces for hosting weddings and wedding-related events. The Grand Room features a stage area that is perfect for sweetheart tables and the spacious hall contains a full kitchen for catering ease. The neutral color scheme makes the space customizable while the delicate chandeliers add a charming touch. The Bar Room continues the look and feel of The Grand Room but with a rustic twist. The wood beams along the wall, ceiling, and bar give this space a bucolic air. From this room, you can enjoy easy access to The Patio, which is adjacent to the main space. This open area is large enough for food trucks and up to 500 guests. It is enveloped by understated gardens for a sense of sophistication. Finally, on your special day, you and your wedding party have access to two dressing rooms, both well-lit and filled with comfort.
The venue’s design is simple and warm, with neutral tones and hues and an open layout in The Bar Room, The Grand Room, and The Patio. Reflective of the wide-open sky draped above the venue, there is a natural romance to this venue. It provides an ideal template to celebrate your and your partner’s love and commitment and gives you the chance to show your personality. The spaces are lit with bright lights, making them likewise welcoming and inviting.
At Wild Prairie Event Center they can provide you with tables and chairs in your choice of circular or rectangular. To make preparing and cleaning up easier, they can set up and take down the furniture. With the full, commercial kitchen, your caterer and bartending service have access to the amenities they need to cook their scrumptious dishes.

We had to change our venue last a month before our wedding to ensure the safety of our guests during this COVID time. We had viewed this venue before but they had made the venue ev...
en more beautiful in the last year. There is a ton of gorgeous outdoor space, the awning outside kept us in the shade for a hot August ceremony, the indoor space was perfect with a huge bar, cocktail tables and a separate room for the dinner. We chose to do our ceremony outside, cocktail hour outside and in the bar room, dinner in the grand room and the dance outside on the patio and the transition of spaces was gorgeous! The staff is so helpful, made my day go significantly smoother and was there to plan with me every detail that needed to be set up or moved at the venue throughout the day, and were present all day. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. Even with the change of venue, and the stress, the final product ended up being better than the original plan. The space is huge! It can accommodate a ton of guests, or allow for social distancing to everyones comfort. Would totally recommend!!
