This place isn’t worth your time. this was probably one of the worst venues to even TOUR, can’t imagine a wedding. i sent a message on 2/7 with no response until i called on 2/11 f...
or a simple tour & spoke to veronica who argued that she did not receive anything from me. but i move past that first impression. important to note that this would have been the 15th venue i’ve toured this month. we’re planning a quick wedding so she told me she would send me dates she has left in 2026 that night before my tour the next day. she never sent it so i showed up 10 min early & she had me waiting for 15 min before she came down with another woman who was going to be joining us to answer questions about room stays…which i haven’t even seen the venue yet but ok. she tells me that for my anticipated guest count i would need to rent the entire floor. i ask how much & her response was “well you haven’t given me a date so i wont have a proposal for you until tomorrow bc it’s going to be time consuming to give you dates between july & october & i have other proposals to work on too” no ballpark? every other place has given me their leftover 26 dates without issue & prices for fri/sun vs sat w no issue. so i responded with, what if i gave you a date & it’s not available…we’d still be in this spot & you didn’t send the dates yesterday like you said you would. at that point she told me her colleague would not be answering my questions about room stays since they’re unsure of availability since it was going to be time consuming. okkk? idc about room stays right now. she asks, “how soon after you get a date do you plan to get started with planning other things?” idk, immediately?? it felt like a waste of time to be there for 10 min since she could tell me literally nothing. then on the way down she continues to ask how many rooms i might need for guest stays but she literally hasn’t answered any of my questions so i have no idea how to answer. it’s now been 4 days with no email from her regarding dates. this place isn’t worth your time & they don’t want to have you for your wedding.
Don’t rely on reservations at J Parker! I planned on proposing to my girlfriend by the lake and then celebrating our engagement with family at the J Parker immediately after, famil...
y was flying in from out of town and staying at the Hotel Lincoln. I made the reservation weeks out, and even confirmed in person the week before. The J Parker knew this was for an engagement celebration. Just 24 hours before the reservation I received an email that my reservation had been cancelled, without an apology or alternative. They don’t answer their phone so I had to go in person to ask what happened, and the manager was very unhelpful and said there was nothing he could do. He claimed that since they came under ownership of their new parent company, Crescent Hotels & Resorts, their reservations have been a mess and they are pushed to keep reservations even if the space was booked for a private event just in case the private event cancels. Luckily The Wit kindly squeezed us in, but our engagement plan was nearly ruined due to the unorganized and unprofessional staff at the J Parker. Don’t rely on them for any important plans!
We used The J. Parker for our intimate wedding this year. This is truly a hidden gem in the city!
Their rooftop features a retractable roof, which came in handy for the bit of rain...
that came through for the evening. With a view of the lake and a partial city view, it really set the scene for a beautiful evening.
The food throughout the evening was really amazing. It was buffet-style with a wide variety of options for cocktail hour, dinner, and a late night snack.
The service that the staff gave us that evening was unmatched. We still have people raving about how friendly and helpful the staff was! The servers, bartenders, and everyone else all-around helped ensure we had a fantastic evening. I HIGHLY recommend The J. Parker for your wedding needs!!
