The Jersey Joint played at a friend’s wedding, and after hearing how great they were, we knew we needed to book them for our own! Gerry was so easy to work with, and ensured we had everything we wanted (and needed) for our day. The entire band was super accommodating when my husband mentioned he would love to play a couple of songs with them. It ended up being a highlight of the night, and I can’t thank them enough for that!! All of our guests were raving (and still are) about the music and how much fun they were having. The playlist was perfectly curated around songs we requested and others that flowed with the vibe of the night. We were so happy with how our entire day (& night) turned out that my sister ended up booking the Jersey Joint for her own wedding! Highly, HIGHLY recommend using them for your wedding!

Jersey Joint was recommended to me by a friend and we are so glad we booked them for our wedding. A live band was the most important detail we had in mind for our wedding and Jersey Joint absolutely delivered. They sounded great and everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. They played every song we asked them to play and then some. Leading up to the wedding, Gerry was exceptional in communication and kept our minds at ease about all the little details. He was so easygoing and organized and always happy to answer our questions. We can’t thank Gerry and the band enough for helping to make our wedding so memorable. Highly recommend them!!!

The Jersey Joint brought AMAZING vibes, turning our backyard into a dance floor with hits from every decade. With stellar vocals, high energy drums, and face-melting guitar solos, these guys are top notch. By the end of the night, the whole block was up and dancing, and screaming all the words to The Killers, Springsteen, the Isley Brothers, and more. They put on a show that everyone loved from the young kids to the adults, we had an absolute blast. The band showed up early, got everything set up, and kicked off right on time - the sound was great, the talent and technical skills of all the musicians were very impressive, and the fun and positive energy they brought made for a great time. We highly recommend The Jersey Joint for your next event, they will not disappoint!

We used Jersey Joint at Battello in June 2024 and Gerry and his band were a huge hit at our wedding. They were super engaging and high energy and our guests were dancing and signing along all night. Gerry curated a really good playlist with must have songs and hit everything we wanted him to play and avoided the songs we didn’t want to hear. He also MC’ed everything really smoothly and helped with the planning of timeline of events. We highly recommend them!

We found Jersey Joint after our initial wedding band canceled on us and we were so lucky they did. Jersey Joint was amazing and we couldn’t be happier! They were great to work with and let us customize our own set list. They even learned our first dance song which made it even more special. We had guests ranging from 21 - 91 years and everyone was on the dance floor. All of our guests said how much they enjoyed the music and liked the variety of songs.

Gerry and the band were great at my wedding. They made it very easy for people to get up and dance. Everyone had great things to say about them. They greatly enhanced our wedding.

These guys are the best. You might be thinking "yea, but are they really the best? who is this random person writing a review for them?" Fair, but let me tell you... they are THE BEST. Most important details -- Gerry is a great dude, extremely talented musician and extremely flexible. He was easily our favorite vendor that we worked with for our wedding. Everything was clear and easy. We had a beautiful wedding. Great food, beautiful venue, touching ceremony. But far and away the number one compliment we received was about the band. Jersey Joint crushed their performance. Everyone left asking us who they were, how we found them, and commented that they were the best wedding band they've ever heard. We hosted a Sunday night wedding. Despite many guests having to work the next day, the dancing never stopped the entire night. They played a custom song based off edits we provided for our first dance. They played the most energetic version of the Hora you'll ever hear. The setlist concluded with an amazing version of Hey Jude which they then followed with an encore of Mr. Brightside! Our guests had so much fun listening to their music all night that they were chanting for an encore, and the band delivered. All that on top of two wonderful acoustic guitarists that set the mood for our ceremony. I cannot recommend The Jersey Joint enough. You might think that a DJ will be enough, and it very well could be. But if you're looking to really elevate your party and give your guests another highlight they'll remember forever, run (don't walk) to your email and contact these guys ASAP before they're already booked for your big day. ...(have you emailed them yet?)

They were literally one of the stars of our wedding. I couldn't have enjoyed having them more. We even had the fire alarm and the dj rocked right through!!! 20/10!

The Jersey Joint was the absolute best decision we made about our November 2023 wedding! Best band ever! They don't just play music, they truly perform it with passion and their energy emanates the entire room. We received the most comments from our guests on The Jersey Joint. We booked The Jersey Joint after attending one of our friend's weddings that also used them. We had the most fun night singing and dancing to every song and we just knew this was the vibe we wanted at our wedding too. We also attended one of their showcases and see some of the band members frequently at local bars. They are so beyond talented! Gerry is so great to work with and has become one of our good friends too! We had multiple meetings where we discussed the flow of our day and he made sure everything was flawless from the ceremony to the last song at the reception. He even had the band learn a new song that we had requested! At one point in the night, my husband got on the mic to join them in a song too. They are just so much fun and I truly don't think our wedding would've been the same without them. If you love to party, love a live band, love fun people, and want a packed dance floor all night at your wedding, book The Jersey Joint ASAP!

WOW!!! Jersey Joint was the only group we needed to see before we found our wedding band and MAN are we glad we booked them! They totally rocked it. The dance floor was NEVER empty! So many people came up to us praising their setlist... from motown, to funk, to current pop hits... they had everything. Gerry worked with us in the months leading up to the wedding so we could give them an idea of what songs to play, and even what songs to leave out. They were open to learning a handful of additional songs which was amazing. We wanted to have one of our friends sing our first dance song, You Send Me by Sam Cooke, and they made it happen. It was wonderful! BONUS - my wife is a singer and they secretly coordinated her coming up to join them on a few songs. It was a total surprise and it was such a great memory to have :) They really did everything to make the music at our wedding so special, personalized, and memorable. Jersey Joint is A-list talent with a reasonable price tag - you can't beat it. On top of that, they are just really wonderful people. Jersey Joint is the best!!!

THIS IS YOUR WEDDING BAND-seriously, look no further. We don’t quite have the words to describe how impressed we were by The Jersey Joint. Gerry (the band’s manager) was so so personable and professional; he took the time to listen to us as we described our musical vision. We felt supported in our choices and appreciated the guidance that Gerry and the other band members (shoutout to Eden!) provided when we weren’t so sure which choices to make. Everyone, I repeat, EVERYONE at your wedding will be on the dance floor, boogie-ing the night away. I can tell you from firsthand experience that I have received endless compliments about “the band!” from guests with all types of music interests. Also, don’t get me started on the absolute raw talent of each and every individual musician on stage–incredible! You will absolutely not be disappointed with this amazing band. Please do yourself a favor and choose them as the soundtrack to your big day. 500000/5 stars.

I cannot recommend the wedding band The Jersey Joint enough! If you live within ~5 hours of Jersey City, this is your band. I gave them a Spotify playlist as inspo, and they could literally play all of it, and even learned 3 songs for us. Everyone (I mean everyone) kept telling me how great the band was. We chose funk, classic rock, and jam but they can truly play anything. If you're into Phish, you're in luck because they can do that too (we were thrilled). Even my musician friends who are in quite successful NYC bands were extremely impressed with these guys. The singer and MC is so fun and got the crowd excited and held their attention so easily. Gerry, the guitarist and client manager is super responsive, professional, responsive and so easy to work with. They give you the option of adding in horns, sax, and/or a female singer to get the exact vibe you're looking for. They did a fabulous job reading our crowd and playing the perfect set. They truly made the wedding so fun. Check out their website, they have several videos posted in every genre.

Do not look any further for a wedding band. The energy, talent, and range the Jersey Joint will bring to your event is unparalleled. Everyone and their mother was on the dance floor. Friends and family planning their weddings that attended mine wished they had booked the Jersey Joint. Guests of all ages are still talking about how exceptional the Jersey Joint was months after the event. I worked with Gerry to coordinate everything. High level of professionalism and communication throughout the planning process and the day of. The quality of the services they offer is candidly unmatched. If you're reading this review and still on the fence about which band to go with, take this as your sign to book with The Jersey Joint. And book the full 10-piece band. The band offers various sets of instruments at various price points, but nothing beats the full band.

Choosing a band for our wedding was one of the most stressful vendors to book. Most companies we called were either over-priced or we had to deal with a sales manager who was not even a musician in the band. The minute I spoke with Gerry, I knew this was our wedding band. Not only was Gerry a pleasure to work with from our first phone call to the very end of the night of our wedding, but his entire band was incredibly talented. We had two talented musicians from the band at our ceremony and they played all of our requested music beautifully. We had a keyboardist from the band during our cocktail hour, again, he played the perfect music for that moment. During our reception the band had our guests on the dance floor all night long. They took two short breaks and played the perfect music through their sound system while on those breaks. We had multiple guests tell us that they never dance at weddings but this band got them up and on the dance floor. We had other guests asking us for their information to book them for their future events. The range from the singers' voices was truly incredible; from Aretha Franklin to Bruce Springsteen, they really nailed every song. I cannot recommend Jersey Joint enough!! 12/10!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Jersey Joint. They are an incredible band who will keep your party on their feet all night and manage the room beautifully. Gerry is also just a wonderful human who is so easy to work with, and is the ultimate professional.

Simply the best band ever. Band traveled from NJ to MD because my dad really wanted them to perform at our wedding. They learned 3 songs for our wedding, one of which was the song my bridesmaid sang me down the aisle to. Gerry, the band manager, worked with us to ensure the dance floor was full all night long. We started on such a high note. Everyone said they have never seen so much of the wedding on the dance floor. They even got me up there to sing with them! From NJ, it was critical we have a Bruce Springsteen song played. They crushed Rosalita, which is my dad's favorite song and NOT easy to play. We LOVE them and cannot wait to see them perform at our cousin's wedding in 2023.

The Jersey Joint blew our expectations what a wedding band could be totally out of the water. They're SO talented and had everyone dancing the whole night, which for us is the #1 thing we wanted at our wedding. By the end of the night our friends even said they felt like they were at a concert. They were also flexible enough to let the groom who loves to play bass up on stage to play a couple songs with them. We cannot say enough good things about this band. Book them you will NOT regret it!

Jersey Joint was one of the BEST parts of our wedding celebration. I had seen them perform at my sister's wedding so I already knew they were dope, but getting to work with them was such a fabulous experience. Gerry was a great communicator, and was even willing to learn an extra bit of a song that we didn't end up using in the best man's speech. They handled so much for us, from the speaker and music at the ceremony to setting up a sound system for a video from my students at the reception. They also handle all the lighting for their performance, and the music was a great level the entire night. Their pianist performed at our cocktail hour and the guy is an incredible musician...I was tempted to just sit and listen to him rather than mingle with all the guests! Musically speaking, the band is top notch (I'm a music teacher, so hopefully I'd be a good judge of that!). They have a wide set range that includes music from so many different genres, and the band can read the room to keep people engaged super well. Once they got going the dance floor was PACKED the entire time. Literally everyone came to us complimenting how good the music was. They also did an incredible job with the 3 songs we chose for them to learn; 'Closing Time' by Semisonic was so good that to be honest they sounded even better than the original! If you're on the fence about who to have perform at your wedding, you should say yes to Jersey Joint!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Jersey Joint! First, you should know my husband and I met at a concert, have been to hundreds of concerts, and got married at a music venue because live music is our greatest passion and this band TORE THE ROOF OFF! I’ll start with the business stuff: you’ll certainly pay more than if you hired a DJ, but they are worth every penny and the value is extraordinary. Also, the full band is a 10-piece (I believe) but you can choose a smaller configuration — we did an 8-piece for our wedding, but you can certainly book a 4 or 5 or 6-piece, etc. Gerry was our main contact and was very kind, personable, professional, and easy to work with. He got the flow of our reception down perfectly, had the band learn our first dance song, our mother son dance song — our father/daughter song was already on their song list — and they even worked with my husband unbeknownst to me for him to surprise serenade me in the middle of our party with the song Grow Old With You from The Wedding Singer!!! Our family and friends commented all night about how great the band was, people were dancing ALL night long. The Jersey Joint musicians were stellar and exceeded my already high expectations! Friends were asking me how to get tickets to the next Jersey Joint tour and I’d like to join them. They know lots of traditional wedding stuff (michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Bruno Mars, Frank Sinatra, etc) but they also have an extensive catalog of classic rock and alternative music, from The Grateful Dead to Tom Petty to The Talking Heads to the Killers and more. When they played Crazy In Love by Beyoncé, I did NOT expect the male lead singer, Wilfredo, to come in and do Jay-Z’s verse and it was perfectly executed — I’ve been a huge Jay fan for 20 years and have seen him 2x so you know I have high standards!! Our wedding was truly out of this world and in large part because of The Jersey Joint!! I’d hire them again in a split second if I had an event to plan. I may plan a 10 year anniversary party just as an excuse to have that much fun again. If you’re going to hire a wedding band, I cannot recommend them enough. They will seriously make your day unforgettably fun, and you’ll be SO glad you hired them. I know I am.

The Jersey Joint was the best band ever for our wedding. My husband is a musician, as are many of our friends, so the band was of utmost importance to us. They were incredible! Many said they were the best band they've ever heard at a wedding. Even those who couldn’t stay on the dance floor all night for various reasons were watching the band like they were at a concert. Their song selection is diverse. They don’t just have all the standard hits you hear at a wedding but a large selection to satisfy every music taste. Gerry, the leader was a great MC. He was organized, funny and kept things moving. My only regret is that we didn’t book our venue for longer because nobody wanted to leave the dance floor. A band really makes or breaks a wedding and I promise anyone who hires Jersey Joint will not be disappointed! 10000000/10 recommend.

My husband and I were so happy we chose The Jersey Joint as our wedding band. Gerry was super easy to work with. The band is very talented with a great sound. They have a huge song list with a wide variety of music. We got many compliments! I highly recommend!

The Jersey Joint MADE our wedding! We did not have a coordinator for our wedding which was no problem at all - Gerry met with us before the wedding to go over everything from the music to walking down the isle to to everything in between. We knew the moment we met Gerry we wanted him to be a part of our wedding - it also helped that we have seen the Jersey Joint live before and they crush. Gerry is such a positive, happy and down right GOOD person and his band reflects that. They all had a smile on their faces the entire night and really brought the music. Our guests were on the dance floor all night, even our moms were on the dance floor when we requested they play our favorite Phish Songs. They have a huge variety of music choices and they sound INCREDIBLE! At some points of the wedding I felt like I was at a concert - which after not seeing live music for quite a while, was the best feeling in the world. People still come up to me 6 months later talking about how good the band was and that they hope to attend another wedding with the Jersey Joint playing. If you’re unsure about which band you want for your wedding, I advise you to look no further….and also please invite me to your wedding :) Gerry, thank you so much for everything - I still think about the Jersey Joint playing at our wedding daily.

Gerry and the Jersey Joint were honestly one of the best vendors we chose for our wedding! Music was a top priority for us because both my husband and I are musicians (like, pursued it for a living!) and we wanted an awesome band. Jersey Joint truly kills it, everyone was on the dance floor and its clear they love what they do. People raved about them as a wedding band, my sister used them as well and now a friend is using them for their wedding this May, highly recommend!

Long story short, our band stopped playing together during COVID and we were a month away from our big day completely band-less! A friend highly recommended the Jersey Joint and we are so glad he did! Gerry and I spoke on the phone several times and he made us feel super confident that this was going to the be the best party of our lives. He paid special attention to my "do not play" music list and also was willing to jump in and help us run our ceremony smoothly which was not even in the contract! The number 1 compliment we received about our wedding was the outstanding music- Jersey Joint had everyone on their feet AND played not one, but TWO Rage against the machine songs for us! UNREAL! Highly recommend them! The female front absolutely KILLS IT, especially when you request Alanis!

I knew I wanted Jersey Joint at my wedding before I was even engaged! My parents said it best - “they played every decade wonderfully, as if they were the original artists themselves.” If you like having a good time, and music is an important part of your big day, look no further. My husband says he “only likes Phish when JJ plays it” so guess I need to hire them for more parties :)

Hiring The Jersey Joint hands down was the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process. From start to finish they were spectacular! Working with Gerry planning a setlist was a breeze (even with my micro managing husband) and they were so accommodating to what we wanted to hear, and didn't want to hear. The ceremony music was perfect and lovely. The band had all of our guests on their feet all night long. Walfredo is the man and brought all of the good energy our wedding deserved! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! All of our guests were impressed with their talent, their sound, and their energy. We have an eclectic taste in music, so being able to find a band that can do pop, motown, and grateful dead/phish music was an incredible feat. Thank you Jersey Joint for making our wedding day the best day ever!

Hands down one of the best highlights of our wedding night! Jersey Joint had all 250 guests out of their seats and dancing! They played the songs we requested and provided so much energy to the evening. Guests continue to talk about how good the band was that night. Highly recommended!

We booked The Jersey Joint for our wedding. I was a little nervous about having a band but my husband really wanted live music. I am so glad that we booked them. They were unbelievable. The band kept everyone dancing all night long. They even learned about 4 new songs for us, including a country song for our first dance. Jersey Joint is an amazing band!!!

I can't count how many people said our band was amazing and made our wedding one of the best they had ever been to. Even our wedding photographer, bartenders, and venue coordinator said it was the best band they had heard at a wedding and asked for their information. For the amount of amazing musicians, 10, and variety of music they play, they are a great price too! They weren't even supposed to play our cocktail hour but they just started playing without anyone having to ask because our other music for the cocktail hour fell threw due to weather. They played totally different music for the cocktail hour, more Jazz, which was perfect! Everyone though it was supposed to be that way. You will not be disappointed! Probably our best money spent at the wedding!
