The Jewel is owned by Michael Todd, a seasoned events industry professional with more than two decades of experience. He is on hand to help you make the most of this venue's 5,000 square feet of indoor space, so your vision can become a reality. The 112-year-old building sits on the corner of Admiral and Page, a chic industrial neighborhood for modern celebrations.
Couples who choose to host their event at The Jewel are welcome to customize the versatile venue to suit their requirements. The open-plan concept allows nearlyweds to host an evening of fine dining and celebratory dancing once their ceremony has concluded. With its exposed brick and simple flooring, the main indoor space lends itself to creativity and personalizing. You can easily transform it to fit your vision for the day with linens and uplighting. Additionally, the patio area features stunning views of Kansas City and offers ample space for guests to mingle in the warmth of the sun. Once the sun goes down, the patio is illuminated by charming market lighting. The venue's built-in bar area is perfect for sophisticated cocktail hours. You and your loved ones can rest after a busy day in the upstairs lofts. These modern spaces are also available to use as a get-ready area for pre-ceremony preparations.

From there, I expanded my expertise by working with a top-rated event planning company in Atlanta, where I deepened my understanding of the full planning process and what it truly takes to bring a wedding vision to life. Now, I’m so happy to be back home in Kansas City and at The Jewel KC, where I get to help couples create unforgettable celebrations in a space I truly love. As the Venue Director at The Jewel KC, my focus is on creating a seamless, stress-free, and exceptional experience from the first tour to the last dance. What sets my approach apart is the deep care I take in truly getting to know each couple—their vision, their priorities, and the unique touches that will make their wedding day unforgettable. I believe that a successful event is built on strong relationships and teamwork, and I’m proud to work alongside an incredible team that shares my commitment to excellence.
