The Joslyn Castle

Nestled in the center of historic Midtown Omaha, surrounded by lush gardens and grounds, The Joslyn Castle awaits you and your wedding event. This architectural treasure was built with warm intentions as a personal residence by one of Omaha’s first truly philanthropic families. It was willed to the city on the condition that it be used as a space in which to support art, education and community. The Joslyn Castle continues to be a welcoming space for people to do these very things. We offer a variety of programming and events, enjoy partnerships and relationships with other nonprofits, and utilize the castle as a rental venue so we can share the magic of this space with others, and host their various occasions. Completed in 1903, this majestic Scottish Baronial Revival castle is the perfect historic yet timeless setting for events of importance. Delight in the unique architecture that transports you to a different time and place, enjoy the artistry in the woodwork, stained glass, wrought iron, and hand painted details. Both the interior and exterior of the castle are available for rental use, and every square inch looks dazzling in photographs. Though our venue is 120 years old, we have plenty of modern conveniences to make your day run smoothly. Heating and air conditioning, Wi-Fi, restrooms, and ample onsite parking to name a few. We also have rooms in which to get ready, wonderful caterers to choose from, available bar rental, as well as seating and tables for indoor use. Our indoor space is best suited for events with less than 100 guests; the outside grounds can accommodate more, however. We can be your total venue: have your ceremony and reception in one location! Or if you prefer, just one or the other. Are you interested in an Elopement? We have a complete package designed for you! Our outdoor elopements are available at select times on April 15th, July 7th, and October 14th. For $975 we will provide your officiant, two floral components provided by The Green House (a mini bouquet and boutonniere or any combination of those two options), professional digital files from Ramblin' Cowgirl Photography, a champagne toast and mini cake bites to share with your sweetie, and the most enchanting backdrop in Midtown Omaha! This is an express 30 minute ceremony designed for just the couple, though up to four guests will be allowed. *Don't hesitate to let us know about dietary restrictions and nonalcoholic preferences* You can have your rehearsal dinner here, or a family brunch the day after the wedding. This is also an amazing spot for your engagement party, or a deluxe wedding shower. We would love to work with you to make your dreams come true!
