Aggressive racists who will draw their weapons on customers without cause

Absolutely asinine that the owner of this establishment would walk up to the vehicle of a black woman, gun drawn, & tell her that folks, "shoot first and ask questions later" in that part of the country. Not only should this business be shutdown indefinitely for the disgusting & dangerous behavior of Diane, but I also hope that if she has a permit to carry, that her right to carry a firearm is revoked after this horrid incident. The events of this interaction could have gone fatally wrong.

I went to order a cake from here and Diane the owner I guess isn’t used to seeing a black woman in her area ??! it was around 1pm and I was in my car she walked up to my door with a gun pointed at me … I was shocked and terrified . I literally was there to order a cake . I would say if you aren’t white be very afraid going here this was so unprofessional and unnecessary to do . Would she have felt the need to do this if a white woman was in her car about to come inside the building ??

We dont take kindly to racist business owners who point guns at their Black customers for doing absolutely nothing but existing.

Pulls weapons against African American women simply for existing in her parking lot. Scary times when someone mentally unwell is given the right to tote and brandish firearms in broad daylight to paying customers. Zero stars if I could.

I wish i could give zero stars but I can't! This owner drew a firearm on an african american female who pulled up on her back parking lot at 12:30 p.m. today. The young lady was fixing her make up before she went in to purchase a cake. The owner told her "we shoot first and ask questions later". What is going on right now in this country! This could have been a disaster!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would to work with the general public and not know how to handle yourself in a professional manner speaks volumes not just on the owner but the establishment as a whole. 0 out of 10 would NOT RECOMMEND.

Story Time- I’ve lived in Jersey City, NYC/Harlem, The Bronx, Baltimore and Washington DC and never have I ever had a gun drawn on me until today in Laurel, Howard County, MD. Today I drove 45 min to Kake Korner, in Laurel, MD to order a cake, as she has an in person ordering policy, I’ve ordered cakes from Ms. Diane White many times years ago. I moved away from the areas and 8 years later I make sure to patronize local business. Her daughter and I went to elementary school together and during those years she also worked at our elementary. school (Hebbville Elementary) so I felt safe with her. My Gps brought me to what I now know as their back parking lot where I was sitting touching up my makeup up and wrapping up a phone call, when I looked up and noticed Ms. Diane walking towards my car with an orange and black gun drawn at me. Walking towards my car, which has no tints on it , I roll down my window and I ask is everything ok? She says “this is private property” I say, I’m just touching myself up and I was heading in to order a cake. She responded to me, around these parts we shoot first and ask questions later. Then proceeds to tell me to pull to the other side and come on in. I will never purchase a cake from her and I’ll advise y’all not to as well. Why would she feel the need to walk up on someone at 12:30pm in the afternoon with your gun drawn, when I didn’t pose a threat or even exchange words with you. You wanted to shoot me because it’s 90 degrees outside and I wanted to touch myself up before entering your business. Never Absolutely ever again will I ever patronize her business. EVER!!!!! Why would you draw a firearm at a customer that has frequented your establishment in broad daylight and claim that you allegedly shoot first and ask questions later? Buyer beware. Not recommend if you value your life.

pulling a gun on a potential customer that posed no threat is disgusting and outrageous and should never happen in a professional environment. clearly not as professional as it should be. an innocent life could have been lost today for no reason whatsoever. Not only that, she could have lost her life as well. what if that young lady seen a strange lady walking to her car brandishing a firearm and decided to pull hers and fire ? this is ridiculous and should not be tolerated at all. prayers to the young lady that Diane has now traumatized. shame on you!

Kake Korner has one of the best yellow cakes in the area, so I knew I wanted to visit them during my search for the perfect wedding cake. We visited two other bakeries but the quality and price that Kake Korner provided solidified our decision. We finalized the order with the owner and she personally delivered the cake to our venue the day of the wedding. To my surprise, she also stayed around before, during, and after the ceremony and sent me beautiful candid photos that I had no idea she took. It was a nice personal touch and on top of that, our guests LOVED the cake. I just had a friend ask me where we got it from because she and her fiancé want them to make their wedding cake too.

First things first! They delivered my cake on time ! Detailing of the design of our wedding cake was gorgeous and it tasted like a slice of heaven!!! They also called me a few days after the wedding just to congratulate us and to make sure that we were satisfied with everything!! They are very professional and AMAZING!!! I will go to them for ALL of my event cakes from here on out!

Kake Korner was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. It was difficult to find a bakery who did strawberry cake, and the icing on all of the cake was absolutely perfect- not too sweet, but just right. They cake was designed exactly how we wanted and they delivered it to the vendor for us right as the arranged time. Very grateful for their attention to detail, the beautiful design, and most important, extremely good cake. We did a number of tastings and none of them came close to Kake Korner. Fortunately we don't live too far away, and I have no doubt we'll stop by for cupcakes often.

We wanted to have a castle wedding cake- they were able to meet our price range and the cake was breathtaking!

We used Kake Korner because they are near our house. Their cupcakes are delicious and everyone loved them. They decorated the cake and cupcakes exactly the way I wanted, and they were fresh and moist. We ended up having a lot left over, and surprisingly they lasted very well in the fridge for almost a week after. I will definitely use them again.

The Cake Lady was great! The cake was delicious and she even made an extra small cake for my mom since she liked it so much!

She did exactly what we wanted for both our wedding cake and our rehearsal dinner cake, even though the latter was something odd.
