The Kitchen is a unique wedding venue in Columbus, OH offering an upscale alternative to traditional wedding receptions. Our mission is to bring people together to create cherished memories through delicious food from our scratch-made kitchen. This historic location is full of German Village charm and is an excellent all-inclusive venue option for couples looking to host a one-of-a-kind celebration with ease. The 3,600-square-foot space is timeless, historic, and romantic. Features an open floor plan, natural lighting, and exposed brick walls. Our variety of floor plans provide the perfect canvas to suit your event design. It can host up to 140 for a seated dinner or 150 for a cocktail-style reception. The Kitchen's in-house Event Coordinator assists you in creating a unique celebration that truly embraces who you are as a couple.
Our team strives to provide a welcoming environment, excellent service, and an organized planning process so you can relax and enjoy your once-in-a-lifetime event with those you love. Your rental includes The Kitchen’s reclaimed Ohio barn wood farmhouse tables and chairs that accommodate up to 100 seats (additional tables & chairs may be rented to supplement, inquire for pricing), Chic & modern house china, flatware, glassware, & barware and standard black linen napkins (tablecloths are not supplied but can be rented). Includes 2 hours of set-up time and 1 hour of teardown time as well as complimentary parking.
The secondary venue, The Studio, is an excellent option for an intimate celebration, a rehearsal dinner, an engagement party, a bridal suite, or a wedding shower. Located next door to The Kitchen, it has white brick walls, modern light fixtures, and the same excellent food and drink options available in The Kitchen. The Studio can accommodate up to 32 guests seated or up to 50 for a cocktail-style event.

Perfect place for our rehearsal dinner. We received such accommodating service during the planning and the team really alleviating a lot of our stress by making a smooth process. We were presented with many options so that we could really personalize the event and make it exactly what we wanted. The team took great care of our friends and family on such a special night. I would highly recommend and will be using again for future events.

We loved having our wedding at The Kitchen! The space is beautiful and we heard from multiple guests that the food is maybe the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Our coordinator, Liz, was absolutely fantastic helping us keep track of details and giving suggestions on how to make the day perfect!

Choosing to have our wedding and reception at The Kitchen was a great decision that I'd make again! Every detail met or exceeded our expectations. First off, the venue itself is so beautiful - few decorations are needed. Planning was so easy, even though I was looking at managing all the details for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Even when I got anxious about pulling it all off, Liz, the coordinator, was so helpful in keeping track of all the details and assuring me that everything would come together. She also made great suggestions for how to take our menu to the next level! Everyone was so helpful the day of and made sure that the event went off without a hitch. And of course - the food - it was incredible! I wish I had had more time to eat because the food was so delicious. Everything I tried was so delicious! The team at The Kitchen was helpful too in creating a menu for all of our guests - we wanted to make sure we offered vegetarian and egg-free options, and the staff had multiple options for us and made sure each food was labeled clearly for our guests. Overall, I can't say enough how pleased I was with having our wedding here and I'm looking forward to attending other events here in the future!

Beautiful location and provided everything we needed, which made the reception stress-free. We got rave reviews on the food! The coordinator, Liz, was amazing about checking in with me, answering questions and making sure everything ran smoothly day-of. She even took it in stride when we moved around the schedule during the reception and was so gracious about it! We had close to 80 guests and were probably near what the venue can handle for capacity as we did have to rent some additional tables and chairs, but they handled all rentals and set-up which made it simple. We loved that the location is stunning enough that you barely need to decorate!

The kitchen was an absolutely beautiful venue. The food was fantastic with its seasonal menu making sure everything is super fresh and unique. The cocktails were great along with the bar service. Our wedding was so beautiful thanks to the venue.
Liz was our day of coordinator but she was so incredibly helpful from day one. She was so polite and sweet and answered all the 1000 questions my husband and asked along with our parents.

The Kitchen was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! We decided to have a more cocktail hour/mingling into dancing reception and it was amazing!! The food and drinks were incredible, we received so many complements from our guests. The staff, especially Liz was beyond exceptional. Liz was with us throughout the whole planning process and helped our vision come to life, she was also present the day of and ensured that we had the most perfect day, from making sure we always had a drink in our hand and even last minute pulling out a table to make sure we ate the delicious food that was being served! I would highly recommend the Kitchen for your wedding/reception/ or any event you want to have good food, service, and a lot of fun!!

The Kitchen was beyond amazing with making sure everything was seamless. They were helpful from beginning to end - helping to plan all the details we didn’t even think of and working with all our vendors leading up to the day. The staff was so fantastic and wonderful to work with on our wedding day - we didn’t have to worry about anything. So many of our guests were impressed by the space, food, and drinks - they are an amazing venue!

Where to even begin?! We fell in love with The Kitchen because of the romantic and laid-back environment, their team, and their inclusive approach to special events. Liz is approachable, dependable, and collaborative. She communicated seamlessly with us, our planner was very detail-oriented. Months later, we are still hearing from our loved ones about how incredible the food, drinks, and desserts were. We also had a number of dietary restrictions that were easily accommodated in the planning, which made it safe for all guests. If you are looking for a beautiful atmosphere that takes care of their staff, is intentionally LGBTQIA+ inclusive, AND the food is divine- look no further!

Fantastic experience with rave reviews from our wedding guests! We truly enjoyed working with everyone at The Kitchen from the time of initially choosing the venue for our ceremony and reception to the day of the wedding. The background of The Kitchen was important to us as an LGBTQ couple. Inclusive with friendly/kind staff, and absolutely delicious food. Everything was very customizable. Also, a great plus to have the accessible parking available across from the venue. We could not have picked a better place and highly recommend The Kitchen.

I had my wedding reception at The Kitchen and I couldn't be happier with how everything went. From the start, Liz was incredibly detailed and communicative. The space itself is beautiful and hardly needs any additional decorations to make it a unique venue, perfect for an intimate wedding. My guests were also raving about the food all night and said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Overall, really positive experience and I'm thankful I had my reception here!

We had an rehearsal dinner for our son and future daughter in law at The Kitchen. Everything from the planning, menu, and event went flawless. The communication was fantastic with the planner/owner and others. The setup, decorations and food were excellent! Our guests are still talking about it! It was a perfect venue. They really work within your budget and have a great attention to detail. I highly recommend having an event at The Kitchen. I look forward to using them again in the future!!

I would describe the staff at The Kitchen as “ What can we do to make your event a success?” The staff worked diligently to make our vision come to life. No request was too big! They were willing to help us in any way. ( very different from many other venues that only did things Their way.) The food was absolutely delicious! Everything from apps to desserts were amazing! The bartenders were wonderful in serving our drinks and cocktails- I love that they have a variety of options! The serving staff was on point with the passed apps and clearing plates. Lastly the venue is amazing- with the tin ceiling, and brick walls, plus the newly installed large trees with lights. This sets them apart from other plain locales. We received So Many compliments from our guests as well! Do not hesitate to book The Kitchen Columbus- it is Fabulous!

Your venue search is over! The Kitchen is AMAZING. We hosted our intimate (~25-30 guests) wedding ceremony and dinner party at The Studio at The Kitchen and couldn't be happier with our choice. Liz, the event coordinator, was available, helpful, and kind. The staff were attentive, but blended into the background at all the right moments. And the food was delicious! Many guests commented that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Do yourself a favor and book this venue!

We loved having our rehearsal dinner at The Kitchen! It was such a nice big space for our group to hang out and mingle. The staff was so easy to work with. They made figuring out our food, drink, decor, and table layout SO easy! The food was also delicious and there were so many great options to choose from. The room is so beautiful and you don't need much of any additional decor items and that made it easy to come straight after our rehearsal at the church. Can't recommend them enough! My husband and I are excited to try one of their events this coming year :).

We hosted our wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Kitchen in May 2022, and for anyone who wants a low-stress, all inclusive, beautiful, friendly venue, I highly recommend the Kitchen. The menu was delicious and customizable. The tables were all configurable in a hundred different ways (including dinner tables and bar carts which was cool). The interior was beautiful with brick walls, plants, cool light fixtures, and an open kitchen. All we had to do was add flowers to the table and it was complete. And finally, I've got to mention the staff. We worked with Liz who is the current event coordinator at time of writing. You couldn't imagine a more sweet or helpful person. She was shockingly prompt in her replies, and was so kind and respectful to all of our questions. The day-off staff was also very friendly; we had a great time with them. Oh, and the restrooms single-person rooms which I found classy if that matters to you. Affordable, beautiful, low-stress - highly recommended.

The Kitchen is the perfect spot for a wedding if you are looking for a medium sized ceremony/ reception space all in one. It’s got character and great lighting for beautiful pictures. The best part- the food and staff! I received rave reviews on our food from every guest. The Kitchen knows how to throw a party!

The Kitchen was absolutely ideal. It is not often you find a venue that looks fantastic, cooks all the food in-house, and has a full bar. Nothing needed brought in except the cake! Our coordinator Liz did so much to make our wedding day amazing. Our family and friends had a blast as well. Best party we've ever thrown!

After being to a handful of events at the Kitchen I knew I wanted my wedding to be there. Everything about working with them was easy - they are very responsive, very friendly, listened to what I wanted, and helped me create the perfect day. Liz is so fantastic - I never felt the stress of booking a venue, menu planning, event coordination because she made it so seamless. The event space itself is perfect - it's intimate and gorgeous.

If you want a beautiful, intimate setting, with BOMB food- then the Kitchen is the place for you to get married. The bigger event space is rustic and beautiful; it gives off such a warm vibe. Our guests kept commenting that instead of being stuffy, like other weddings, the Kitchen was cozy and relaxed. That's exactly what we wanted. And the food...we got so many compliments throughout the night about how good it was! We really enjoyed it so much- the vodka sauce was sooooo good! Lastly, the staff was so lovely to work with. Liz, our wedding coordinator, was so attentive, made the night run so smoothly, and is truly an expert in her field. She worked so hard, as well as all of the staff, and we can't thank them enough. We appreciate them so much, for making the night perfect! I highly, highly recommend!

The Kitchen was the perfect place to host our small, food-focused wedding reception! All of the food and drinks were delicious, and the ability we had to customize our menu to fit our event was awesome. Everyone on their team was great to work with throughout the entire process. I had my wedding at The Kitchen, and they did a terrific job! I was able to customize much more than I would have at other venues, and really appreciated their flexibility and willingness to accommodate. I received lots of compliments on the cocktails and food (the steak and salmon were terrific). For 80 people, the space felt intimate but not too packed. Overall, I would highly recommend!

We could not be happier that we had our ceremony and reception at The Kitchen! Planning was a breeze and the communication with the staff was incredible. Not only is the space gorgeous, but the food was amazing. We received compliments days after on all the brunch foods (especially the banana Nutella French toast). Importantly, The Kitchen enforced all Covid protocols and I felt relaxed knowing that our closest friends and family were safely celebrating. We wish we could do it all over again. I HIGHLY recommend The Kitchen!

We held our wedding at The Kitchen in January of 2021. While we had originally planned to have our wedding at a different venue with about 130 guests, less than two months out from our day we made the decision to find a new venue with only 20 guests. To be honest, we were torn between The Kitchen and another small venue in Columbus but on the advice from some of our wedding vendors we ended up choosing The Kitchen. As one of our vendors told us, "The Kitchen will just make you feel good. They really care about people and they'll give your guests an experience. Plus the food is not wedding food." And they were so right. From the very beginning Amber was so attentive and accommodating as we planned our day with just weeks to spare. We really had the sense that the staff there wanted to give us our dream day and would work with us to make that happen. On the actual wedding day everything went so smoothly. The staff was so attentive and friendly, the food was delicious (those scallops! those chocolate pretzel tarts!), and everyone was working together to make sure that we could have a safe but fun and beautiful wedding. Thank you to The Kitchen for helping make our dream wedding a reality!

We had our rehearsal dinner here last weekend and everything was amazing!! The food was good and so was the space! My guests all loved it! My only complaint is that guests had to wait a little longer than desirable for a drink at the bar. Things also came in a little over budget, but it was worth it!!
