The 1920s-built schoolhouse was completely remodeled so that we could meet the goal of the wedding party enjoying the entire day! Located in Walford, IA, the Knapp Creek Event Center is Eastern Iowa's premier wedding venue. Renovated and remodeled in 2021, this beautiful property boasts a remarkable 15,000 square feet of versatile event space. The recent remodel preserved the building's historic charm while infusing it with contemporary elegance, creating a venue with a stylish aesthetic and romantic ambiance. The Monroe Suite is approximately 1,000 square feet and designed with the bride's needs in mind. Two restrooms, a huge lockable closet, color-correct lighting, a refreshment bar, couches, a Bluetooth sound system, and makeup stations for each of the bridesmaids differentiate Knapp Creek from any other venue. The Aspen Suite has been designed around the needs of the groom! Instead of makeup stations, the space includes a large TV, shuffleboard, darts, bags, and even a basketball game. There are also two bathrooms and a large, lockable storage area. The large, custom U-shaped walnut bar stocked with your choices awaits the wedding party for after the ceremony!
