Choosing the Lake Erie Building as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made! One of the biggest perks was having access to the venue for the entire weekend. We got the keys on Wednesday morning and had access all the way through Monday morning. This was a total game-changer and took so much pressure off our wedding day, since we were able to set everything up ahead of time without rushing. Another huge benefit was the decor closet and in-house furniture. We saved a lot of money by using their inventory, and it allowed us to incorporate beautiful pieces we wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise—like couches in cocktail hour and a champagne wall that added a really special touch to the space. The venue itself is spacious and versatile, and we loved being able to have a separate area for cocktail hour to keep the flow of the event fun and engaging. Our guests had a great time and we got so many compliments on the overall vibe and layout. The LEB team was amazing to work with—so kind, down-to-earth, and incredibly accommodating. Their support throughout the planning process made everything feel much less stressful. The only small downside was the somewhat confusing layout of the building. Some guests mentioned they would have appreciated more signage to help navigate the space. But overall, that was a minor issue in what was otherwise a fantastic experience. We’re so grateful to the team at LEB for helping make our day so memorable. Highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for flexibility, convenience, and a supportive team!

The venue is beautiful! I have seen people keep it simple as well as totally dress it up. I've always seen very large weddings and small ones that still very intimate despite the large space. Everyone that works here is very kind and communicative. I highly recommend this venue.

Built in the early 1900s, the Lake Erie Building is an eclectic wedding venue located in Lakewood, OH. This space was home to the iconic Templar motors at the beginning of its time. We also used to be home to Lake Erie Screw. In the early 2000s, the building became home to over 100 different tenants (from ceramic artists and tee shirt producers to a cross-fit gym) and our 9,000-square-foot event space. pace is so versatile and has so much there for you already. Hannah and staff and so sweet, organized and will absolutely get creative with you about how to make your ideas happen! Our wedding day was a HUMID 90 degrees in late August and inside stayed extremely cool. Such a beautiful space!

er felt overly crowded. Communication with Hannah was so smooth and easy, quick responses and always calmed our stress. We got access on Wednesday to start setting up and we’re able to go back the Monday after to clean up - how many venues offer that!? The whole night was so beautiful, the lights and vibe of the place are top notch. We got so many compliments all day about how amazing the place was! Do yourself a favor and book this venue, easiest choice we made and worth every penny!!

nce. being able to bring in your own vendors, booze, and style into a venue is a huge plus not to mention getting the space from Wednesday to Monday really allows you to take your time when setting up and not feel rushed to set up the day of.

ke place here as well. I liked being able to pick every single vendor, it was overwhelming at times but we chose some really great people who all worked together to make sure our day was perfect. It is a bit of a walk but our guests were able to navigate to the room with no problem. James was wonderful and insightful, we trusted his advice because he has seen so many weddings. We had a slight hiccup while decorating due to a miscommunication with the utilization of the space which was frustrating at the time but in the end everything worked out. Our guests loved how unique the venue was. It does take some creativity with decorating but don't stress too much about that, it will all come together.

fect for what we needed allowing us to do save money on rentals. We planned on 200 guests and actually ended up with 170; we arranged the space to accommodate and had PLENTY of space! The staff is all very friendly, and Hannah was our coordinator; she was super responsive and helpful. One of the things we loved most was having it for extra days before and after the event. There was no rush the morning of to set up and no rush the night of to get everything we brought in out. You do have to bring in your own alcohol and all your own vendors, but they gave great suggestions and made it very easy. A few tips- the parking/ entrance for guests can be a little confusing, and even though they have some signs and staff to help, I recommend creating more signs, maybe designating others to help guide people, and even sharing maps/ instructions with your guests ahead of time; everyone figured it out eventually and made it though. Also, the acoustics aren’t great so made it a little hard to hear the music if you’re further from the dance floor. Lastly, make sure the ice chest is FULL and maybe even have your bartenders bring extra- we ran out toward the end of the wedding. Overall, the experience working with them and the space was great so we highly recommend it!!

the week of set up and on the day of the event were also super accommodating and provided suggestions that came in handy. This space is ideal for the couple who is looking to do something a little different and have the flexibility to choose their own vendors. It was really nice to be able to add our own special touches and pick and choose how we wanted the layout for both our ceremony and reception.

actly what we were looking for! Some of the other industrial themed venues don't include much, if anything; LEB includes the tables, table skirts, linens, chairs, 2 bars, and a ton of extra decor and furniture you can use. The staff was absolutely fantastic and very accommodating. Hannah (the coordinator) was very helpful and offered a lot of great advice and suggestions. Dan (the building and event manager) was super friendly and went out of his way to assist us and offer facts about the building (came in handy for fun pictures). James (the building pro) was also super friendly! To anyone who has a creative mind I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue. We had quite a few people compliment us on the venue and the uniqueness of it!
