The Lake House is where you will find the freedom to make your special occasion memorable with a personal touch. The Avondale Lake House is located just east of Atlanta, 7 miles from downtown Atlanta and 1 mile from downtown Decatur. The house accommodates 110 seated guests and 150 standing, buffet style guests. The Lakehouse features a foyer, main room with large wood dance floor and seating area where French doors open onto and outdoor patio. This patio can accoomodate a large tent.

s truly dreamy. The location is stunning—set in a serene, picturesque area that provided the perfect backdrop for our intimate holiday wedding. The venue itself was everything we envisioned: beautiful, cozy, and full of charm. It offered plenty of space for our smaller gathering while still maintaining a sense of warmth and elegance. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our special day. A huge thank you to the incredible staff, especially Ms. Christine M., who was phenomenal from day one. Ms. Christine went above and beyond to ensure our wedding plans came together flawlessly. She was so accommodating, allowing us to visit the venue multiple times leading up to the big day for setup and to make sure we were comfortable with every detail. Her support and guidance were invaluable throughout the entire process, and we felt truly cared for. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience at The Lake House. The venue and the entire atmosphere made our wedding day even more perfect than we could have imagined. If you're considering a venue for your wedding or special event, we highly recommend The Lake House at Avondale Estates—it’s a hidden gem, and we’re so grateful we chose it for our celebration. st about the venue size and the layout but it worked out perfectly. They have outdoor and indoor options for both the ceremony and reception. We ended up having our ceremony out by the gazebo (owned by the city), reception on the patio area, "happy hour" on the porch and reception/dancing inside the venue. Marifae and Julia were able to work with us even with being out of town. When we did come to visit Marifae was very friendly and accomodated our tardiness when meeting to see the venue. The value of this venue is fastastic and the entire layout is just beautiful. I highly recommend this location and the women who run it.

The venue was awesome with the lake as a background. The Christmans lights around the lake were still lit to make the setting sparkle.
