It’s a gem and I highly recommend anyone who is considering getting married in Michigan…anywhere in Michigan, check it out! Edited to add: EVERY vendor that they recommended was as amazing as they are. Their in house catering and phographer were everything we could hope for. We are still hearing rave reviews from all of our guests!

wonderful to work with since we first contacted them to take a tour of the venue. They gave us a great tour, sat down to talk details with us, let me come back up and check out the venue with my mom, and were always available to talk, answer questions, and provide us with any information we needed. The wedding day flowed seamlessly and they really made sure we had the perfect day. I would highly recommend every aspect of this venue!!

We were so blessed to get to work with these two incredible people throughout the past year, they made everything easy for us and went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. We've had so many friends and family members say how impressed they were with the venue and how gorgeous everything is, along with raving about Jean & Jeff as hosts and how kind and genuine they both are. We had our wedding in October so weather was a gamble, it turned out to be 35 degrees and raining sideways, but the venue offers so much beauty on the inside that we didn't even notice, and Jean & Jeff graciously made the swap to an indoor wedding the day of...it made it so that we didn't have a single worry about the weather and that we wouldn't have changed a thing. I could go on for hours about the venue and these two awesome people, but you get the point. I would recommend them 12 out of 10 times and we are so appreciative of everything they did to make out wedding day perfect!

There is no question about the perfection of the venue, but what really made the venue so wonderful were Jean and Jeff the owners. Their communication, execution, service, organization and so much more was so wonderful to experience. They gave us so much confidence throughout the entire process. They make everything easy and even more beautiful than we knew it could be. I am so grateful for them and their venue because no one is doing it on Lake Michigan like they are (trust me we looked). If you want the most perfect venue, on the water, indoor/outdoor, flawless sunset view, worry-free organization and implementation, bartenders that just get it, butterflies in your stomach kind of venue, look no further. s due to COVID 3 weeks before the date -- I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and support Jeff and Jean provided us. When I initially called they answered after 2 rings. After I shared my story with them they immediately sympathized with me, and then we went straight into action planning. We booked a Zoom meeting for the next day so we could tour the property virtually, and then headed out 3 days later to see the venue in person. The venue is absolutely breath-taking. Every detail inside & out is perfectly thought out. The venue sits right on Lake Michigan, and nothing beats a Michigan summer sunset. Jeff & Jean also work with awesome vendors. They sent me a list of their top 4, and within 5 days I had all my vendors booked, and the new party details ready to roll. The days leading up to the wedding they were so accommodating with letting us set up a few things ahead of time, and then the day of everything went off without a hiccup! I have had multiple guests come up to me that night, and afterwards to tell me how beautiful, and perfect everything was & it is all thanks to Jeff & Jean for making our special day happen! Jean were a delight to work with, even helping to set up our technology for the Zoom guests! Cocktails on the lawn, band set up outside, beautiful circle arch to highlight the bride and groom, and dinner on the patio while we watched the sunset! We even watched the SS Badger come back into port- so fun! The entire venue, inside and out is beautiful!

While we never got to have our day at the Lake House, I have no question that it would've been a perfect experience. First, the owners (Jeff and Jean) are the most warm and genuine people who have their client's best interest at heart. They maintained consistent and transparent communication with us throughout the unsettling months approaching our wedding date while also providing us with support and advice. The venue itself is unbelievably beautiful, if you just go tour the place in person, you will fall in love on the spot. It has that rustic, outdoorsy, uniquely-Michigan "up north" feel, but yet somehow is also modern, sleek, and classy. It's everything I was looking for in a venue, and I couldn't have asked for more supportive owners to make these hard decisions with. Book the Lake House!!

It’s also worth noting they have a full kitchen on site, which is rare for a venue. The food looked amazing and was very reasonably priced. Jean and Jeff were incredible and seemed like they’d be awesome to work with. Some venues seem to have “their way” of doing things, but Jean and Jeff were incredibly open and enthusiastic about accommodating our ideas to make it feel very special and unique! I’m confident this venue will start booking out year over year, so definitely take the opportunity to go check it out!!

As far as experience, my husband and I can not recommend this venue enough. Jeff & Jean made us feel like a part of their family! They went above and beyond to make our day a special one and we will always look back on our special day and cherish that.
