My wife and I had our wedding at the Lakehouse in March and we have a lot to say about this venue and the management. We booked our venue one year out (March 2025) with the then ve...
nue manager, Jackie. One main selling point for us was the upstairs condo. We planned to use this space for a rehearsal dinner and as a bridal suite the day of the wedding. We decided to hold off on reserving the condo for the night before in case we changed our minds about our rehearsal dinner location. We did this after confirming with Jackie we could add this to our contract and any point in the future. A few months later one of the MOB’s called to reserve the condo for the rehearsal dinner (so we thought.) after new management stepped in we were now dealing with Liz and Denise. In December we went to do a floor plan and details meeting with them. When we got there they acted like they didn’t know why we were there. They did not discuss any floor plans with us and basically just gave us another tour of the venue. At the end Denise said just let me know when you want to set up a meeting to discuss the floor plan and everything…like girl what do you think the point of today was?? This day we also found out they only provide 50 chairs…we were having a 100 guest wedding. I personally do not understand how a business advertises a venue capacity of 300 people but only provides 50 chairs! We found this out two months before the wedding and if my mom didn’t ask we wouldn’t have known until the day of the wedding!
Following this we were told an event had been booked the night before our wedding and we could no longer have the condo. Liz had no documentation of our condo reservation because I guess that was never communicated with Jackie. Not even one apology or solution was offered it was simply “that’s not our problem” attitude. Because of this we had to book multiple hotel rooms which was inconvenient since we were no longer on property. we were originally told we couldn’t come in to decorate the venue until 2:00 pm the day of our wedding. This stressed me out because we (the wedding party) were setting up the venue. (Luckily we were later told we could come the day before but could you imagine our initial panic!)
The month of our wedding our photographer went to do a venue sight and talk to Denise. They discussed our sparkler exit and Denise told him we weren’t allowed to do one even though we had MULTIPLE confirmation emails from DENISE that sparkler exits were allowed. One of many displays of lack of communication.
As we are decorating the day before the wedding, we asked where the cake table is and Denise said they don’t have one. What wedding venue doesn’t have a CAKE TABLE? We pulled up the floor plan she emailed us showing a labeled cake table and Denise just said oh that’s not the correct floor plan. Like girl that’s what YOU sent US. Because of this we had to rent an extra table on top of the extra chairs because again their lack of communication on what they actually provide.
Finally the day of the wedding. Denise was the onsite manager but she was hardly attentive. I thought it was typical to be accommodating to the parents of the brides but that was not the case here. She started an argument with our photographer in the middle of family photos. Unprofessional. TEN MINUTES before the wedding ended she told our parents that EVERYTHING had to be picked up and taken out the venue that night. No one had cars there. (This could potentially not have been a big deal if we actually had the condo like we once thought but I digress) yet again we had IN WRITING that we were allowed to pick everything up the following Monday morning. How are you going to tell the parents of two brides they need to clean an entire venue ten minutes before the night ends?? Completely unprofessional and again lack of clear communication.
I had to condense this because of word count but all the third party vendors were fabulous and we’d recommend them, the Lakehouse however, not as long as they have this management.
This venue is amazing. The scenery is breathtaking with the sunset and the water. Always great food and great servers to help make the night go by without flaw. Having an inside an...
d outside option for your wedding or event adds even more versatility for planning.

ul yacht to charter one evening for my proposal which came with such lovely hosts, Mynnye and Capt. They really went the extra mile to make my big night special. DeeDee catered a cheese tray, champagne, and cheesecake which were all delicious. We all met the day before to discuss the plan leading up to me popping the big question. Mynnye was able to video the special moment with the sunset as the backdrop. Both Mynnye and DeeDee felt like friends right from the start, I knew I could trust my proposal night in their hands. I would highly recommend for any event!

es and great conversation for your guest. My husband and I got married at St. Edward the Confessor and held the reception at La Maison Du Lac. We had a rather large wedding with about 150 guests. They really pay attention to all requests big or small. We also rented the bridal suite upstairs. It was great for all the pre-wedding photos and my husband and I loved just being able to go upstairs after it was all over. Our guest can’t stop talking about how beautiful all the details were and how much fun they had.
First of the venue is gorgeous! You can easily pass it by but once u walk inside youre transported into this beautiful white, classy space. The inside, outside and apartment above ...
are beautiful and all fit in the overall theme. They had alot of centerpieces and decorations to choose from.
We worked with Deedee and she was a pleasure to work with. She knew exactly what I wanted and stirred me in the right direction whenever I got confused about the details. During the event (ceremony and reception) she was on top of things and was very helpful with making sure my now husband and I had everything we needed. From food to drinks to staying on track with making sure we have time to do everything we wanted. She always answered the phone or called within hours.
The food was absolutely perfect. I had many people come up to me to tell me how delicious it was and how they were constantly going back for seconds.
Needless to say it was a perfect weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Everyone was easy to work with and willing to work with my family and I to make sure everything came out how we wanted it to be.
I am a wedding photographer. I recently had the pleasure of shooting at this venue and the service was exceptional. Not only did they cater to the couple, they made sure I was well...
taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone
This is Lakeview's best kept secret. This place is STUNNINGLY beautiful on the inside and the outside is absolutely breathtaking. I knew as soon as I walked in the door, that this ...
was the place for me. It was elegantly casual and absolutely perfect.
DeeDee is a pleasure to work with. She provided excellent recommendations for a photographer and a catered - both of which were amazing.
Be sure to stay at the apartment above the venue on both Friday and Saturday night. It's super special to be able to walk down to your venue in the morning of your wedding. My husband and I also had a last dance the night of our wedding under the lights of the garden when no one was around. It was the perfect way to end the most special day of my life.
If there were 1 million gold stars - I would give it to Maison du Lac - that's how much I LOVE this venue. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Deedee was very helpful and answered any questions I had about our wedding. The venue is just STUNNING at night. Truly, pictures just do not do it justice. Jason, the caterer, was ...
great as well. He created a menu just for us and allowed us to have a free tasting. Everything about this place is wonderful! I cannot recommend it enough. Thanks for everything!
