absolutely perfect! We didn't have to worry about anything, and received so many compliments from our guests about how the Lakes staff worked hard to make our day so special. We are so grateful to everyone for making not just our wedding, but the entire planning process, as stress-free as possible. It was wonderful working with Alison, Tammy, and the rest of the staff and I highly recommend them to anyone!

er place really stood a chance! It was the perfect venue for our video game themed wedding and reception. We were fortunate that the weather was comfortable and accommodating on that Friday, and the staff took care of the rest! Alison was incredibly easy to work with. She was very responsive and willing to answer any questions or concerns that we had. She met with us before the event and asked questions to make sure that our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. She adjusted certain things to meet our needs and fulfil our wishes as well. She planned everything in finite detail and is clearly experienced in that regard! The staff did an incredible job as well, staying on top of everything and making sure that the food was served in a timely fashion. The food was delicious and our friends and family seemed to agree with that sentiment. The event finished at 11, but the staff didn’t rush us out the door, allowing our guests to gather their belongings and any keepsakes that they wanted without feeling rushed. All-in-all, we couldn’t be happier with how our wedding and reception went and we’re extremely grateful and thankful that we chose The Lakes!

We also loved working with Alison...she really knows her stuff, and was so helpful at every step along the way! I sometimes emailed her three times a day, but she promptly responded each time, and we would not have had such a great event without her professional guidance. The staff was very friendly and very attentive all night, every little detail was perfect. The the food was delicious! All of our guests commented on how impressed they were with everything! Last, The Lakes was one of the more affordable venues we looked at, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Alison and the crew there made our special night one to remember! I would highly recommend The Lakes!

t once we stepped into the semi-permanent tent we knew the Lakes was the one. My finance said it felt special. The tent offered the outdoor wedding I always wanted without having to lose sleep worrying about rain. Many guests commented on what a beautiful venue it was. Our photos captured the beauty of the tent and the grounds. Just as importantly, the wedding and reception went off without a hitch thanks to Alison and her top-notch staff who did an amazing job. Alison was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. I’ll also never forget how helpful the banquet captain was when I couldn’t get my ring off right before walking the aisle. We were both wearing our rings from the pre-ceremony photos, and I remembered a little too late that we needed to take them off. I was having trouble removing my ring when the banquet captain immediately produced a glass of cold water and told me to place my hand in it. The cold water did the trick, and I slid my ring off immediately. The banquet captain definitely wasn’t at her first rodeo. She knew exactly what would work to remove the ring. I can’t say enough good things about The Lakes!

Throughout the evening, she handled all of the behind the scenes logistics with the dance floor, bar, and seating arrangements and did it splendidly. We could not have had a better experience with the Lakes. I am so thankful to all of the staff, as they really made our wedding unforgettable for both my wife and I and for all our guests. The Lakes is a premier wedding venue, and we will cherish our memories of our day there.

The actual venue was so beautiful. The tent looks so amazing on its own it barely needs any decorations. There was so many places to take pictures on the property as well. The whole night just ran so smoothly and it was a stress free day for all. They really helped make the day the most perfect for the bride and groom and their guests.

Getting ready in the women’s locker room was a dream - able to hang our dresses, have hair and makeup done, store our belongings and take pictures outdoors on their beautiful wrap around porch without anyone seeing. The view over the stunning golf course was amazing. The Lakes did a wonderful job and their staff is exceptional!

The only thing I would change about this venue is I wish the food wasn't so expensive, but it is very delicious! Overall I really enjoyed the experience we had in planning and having our wedding at The Lakes!

There were 240 guests, and everyone received their food at the same time - it was hot and delicious. We had several guests with allergies, and everyone was accommodated with an amazing meal. Working with Alison Trimble was awesome. She truly cared and wanted to make sure that everything was perfect - and it was. Tammy Russell was also extremely helpful, especially with the wedding ceremony. The Servers, Bartenders, and the entire staff did an absolutely phenomenal job. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate The Lakes a 25! We could not have been more impressed. It was a perfect day thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff at The Lakes. It is also a beautiful venue for photos.

a reality. I can't stress enough how impressed we were with their professionalism, flexibility, and knowledge. If I was forced to come up with something to complain about (which is very difficult to do), it was that we had some initial difficulty doing some planning stages because the country club itself closes for a few months throughout the year where we weren't able to come see the tent area set up beforehand. It was gorgeous anyway!

Four months before our wedding, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and started treatment shortly before our wedding day. The treatment made it so she was unable to eat what we had chosen for our reception. They went above and beyond to make sure she had a personalized meal she was able to eat. They checked on her throughout the day and night and made sure her comfort was a priority, which allowed me to feel at ease. We will never forget this! The food was incredible and we still receive comments on how delicious it was over a year later. They have a great space for the bride and bridal party to get ready and there are so many beautiful spots for pictures. The tented area is gorgeous and the draped fabric gives the whole space an elegant feel. They took care of most of the set up and clean up and they let us leave a few things there overnight so we didn't have to worry about taking it all home the night of our wedding. They had everything packed up and together for us to pick up the next day. The club is still open to members during their regular hours, however this was not an issue at all. It was a beautiful fall Saturday and from the looks of the parking lot, there were golfers there, however we didn't even notice them. The parking lot is huge, so finding parking is not an issue and there is a very convenient drop off area in front if needed. There are no hotels within walking distance, however they will let your guests leave their cars there and it's a very short cab ride to Polaris area hotels. They are very up front with pricing and fees and we walked away at the end of it all without any surprises. We don't have one negative thing to say about this place. Our wedding day was more perfect than we could have imagined. They are experienced and it shows!

Alison kept in close contact with us and was very prompt in returning emails, and was readily available to answer every question. When the day finally arrived, the facilities were stunning. We had a tented reception with an indoor cocktail reception. Everything ran smoothly, and thanks to Tammy the night of the celebration was a huge success! We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding reception they ever been to! I wouldn't hesitate to have another event at this location and I highly recommend it to any bride who wants a stress-free grand reception. The facilities boast classic beauty, and the landscaping is the perfect backdrop for any bridal party. All of the staff are polite and organized and make sure the night is perfect to remember!

did a phenomenal job setting up the tables just the way I wanted them with all of my decorations in the right place. I had 225 guests and the staff made sure everyone was treated excellently. They even made exceptions and took special orders for people with gluten and dairy allergies. They were so efficient in getting everyone through the buffet line and helped to make the entire reception run smoothly. I appreciated how well they worked and coordinated with the photographer, the DJ, the cake lady, and everyone else who was a part of my wedding day. I will forever have wonderful memories of my reception and that is largely due what a great job the Lakes did in creating the perfect atmosphere. Alison Trimble, the main coordinator, worked with us so much and was so willing to meet all of our needs. I really appreciate the time she took to make my day just the way I wanted it. n Westerville. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. Alison Trimble was a delight to work with and always very responsive to our questions and requests. The entire staff went out of their way to make the evening a fun and memorable one for the bride and groom, our family and guests. We were especially appreciative of the responsiveness of the staff to some special needs a few of our guests had. When we arrived at The Lakes after the ceremony, my husband and I were delighted to see that everything we had asked the staff to do – put pictures around the Drake Room and the tent, the centerpieces and table numbers at the tables, flowers on the pedestals, candy bags at each place – had been done as instructed. I immediately relaxed, having seen the professionalism of the staff already at work. We had a sit down dinner for 215 guests and chose an Italian buffet. The food was plentiful and fabulous. The Lakes staff worked with our DJ so that our guests got food in a timely manner. We were not rushed through dinner or the evening. There was no other event in the wedding tent that day, so the entire reception had a relaxed feeling to it. During the evening, Alison came and checked with us to see if there was anything amiss or that needed to be done. Likewise, the staff made sure we were happy with how things were presented and going. As I mentioned at the outset, we were very pleased with the entire evening. And as a bonus, the pictures taken around the grounds are gorgeous. We were given two golf carts to use, one for the bride and groom and the other for the photographers and videographer, and the result of their tour around the grounds was stunning. We couldn’t have asked for nicer scenery for our daughter’s wedding photos. We are so glad we chose The Lakes!

The food and service that was provided the night of our wedding was perfect. Our guests were so happy with the food that they wanted more, and the venue offers wonderful choices of food options. Alison and Tammy are willing to go above and beyond at The Lakes and they made us feel like we were always number one. The location of the venue is ideal and super close to many lodging areas for guests. We had such a fun night celebrating our marriage with our guests. Everything went as planned and the photos we have from the waterfall are indescribable. We would recommend The Lakes to any bride and groom. The price is super affordable and the feeling you get from walking around The Lakes is like no feeling in the world.
