The Lark

The Lark is a stunning historic loft located right in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. The restored 1920s venue features wrap-around windows overlooking the lush James Weldon Johnson park. The bright and open floor plan is a versatile setting for your special occasion. The Lark is non-exclusive, allowing your choice of vendors to tailor the look and feel of the space to suit your vision. The Lark proudly supports the Jacksonville art community by showcasing local work. Art is rotated quarterly and is all for sale with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the artists. Facilities and capacity The Lark is ideally sized at 4,300 square feet of open space, providing a versatile floor plan capable of hosting up to 150 guests for a ceremony, reception, or rehearsal dinner. For engagement parties and cocktail events, the space can comfortably hold up to 214 guests. This unique space boasts 14-foot ceilings, exposed wooden beams, vintage brick walls, a built-in bar, antique windows and floors, with a charming outdoor patio. For daytime and evening events, couples can enjoy the gorgeous natural lighting that filters through 9 oversized windows wrapping the West and North sides of the venue. As the sun sets, a romantic atmosphere emerges as the trees light up with white lights and the customized ceiling spotlights bring glam and sophistication to your big event. The venue includes 2 well-furnished VIP suites, giving your party ample space to get ready for the big event. The first-floor lobby is exclusive to The Lark, making a perfect place to welcome your guests as they arrive to your celebration. The entire space has A/C and heating available, so your guests and vendors have an enjoyable experience. Your bartender of choice can serve drinks in style at the 14-foot built in bar, and the ample sized catering kitchen is available to your caterer to serve up a variety of hot and cold meals for your special event. In addition, The Lark has partnered with James Weldon Johnson Park to offer couples a unique wedding format. The James Weldon Johnson Park is a beautiful city space with several fountains and lush landscaping, and sits directly across the street from The Lark. Couples have the option of hosting outdoor ceremonies in the park, followed by a reception at The Lark. The park rental requires a 2 hour minimum and provides exclusive use, with alcohol permitted to be served. There are several options for parking around The Lark. Parking is available in a public garage directly across the street, street parking is available and is free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays, and there is always the option to use valet if that is preferred. It is across the street from James Weldon Johnson park, and the Skyway station and is just minutes from Interstates 95 and 10!
