The LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection

This modern marble penthouse hosted our 85 guest wedding. The atmosphere was warm and intimate without being cramped. Our ceremony was held in the celarium, cocktails in the function space off the marble hallway, and the seated dinner and dancing was in the grand-ballroom. The service from valet to waiter was polite, welcoming, and efficient creating a very guest friendly night. The event coordinator made organizing the three segments of the evening simple so we didn't have to think about the orchestration. What was most important to me was the food and the LaSalle stood out. Ever conversation with my guests to this day weaves in how beautiful and delicious the night was - unprompted and that is what I wanted. The cuts were generous and high quality. Plating was impeccable, preparation and seasoning was just right. Finally timing was efficient we all ate together. Allergies were carefully minded and communicated so guests didn't need to worry. We served steak, duck, salmon, and cauliflower steak and everyone had a true resturant quality meal that was identical to the tasting. The in-house pastry chef made a gluten-free chocolate mouse cake which finished the night perfectly. As for photographs the hotel is lovely and building scape just out the front door is some of the most photographic spots in the city with low traffic out of working hours! There are two strangly special bonuses to tieing the knot here... one we go back for dinner at the resturant once a month and people remember you. Being able to enjoy the food and ambience whenever you choose is very special. The second bonus I am writing this review in vacation using my Marriott points from paying the bill. So the worst part of the night isn't so bad! P.S. we hosted our 20ish person rehearsal dinner in the resturant and it was the best meal and evening I have been part of, it may have outshined the wedding. It had an Gatsby vibe thanks to our waiter and the seafood platters. This meal was part of our budget shown below.

Our wedding day was on September 9th, 2023! With a bit of a delay, I would just like to write a review about our experience with the LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection. First of, we fell in love with the venue right away, it reflected our style - luxurious, elegant, classic, minimalistic, everything was sparkling and looked brand new and very clean. We had 74 guests seated comfortably with enough space to dance. You really don't need to spend a lot on decor since the space is already gorgeous, we wanted tall, white flower arrangements and lots of candles, we also had lighting provided by our DJ. I loved the setting and the atmosphere, it was very intimate and romantic. I would just like to mention that we had a couple of bumps along the way mostly in our communication, just because a day of coordinator that was working with the venue left before our wedding, however Christine tried her best to accomodate and made sure we were well taken care of. Also, keep in mind that there might be events before your wedding on the same day, BUT, the staff will ensure everything is all set, beautiful and ready to go before your wedding. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the entire team, the "day of" was PERFECT and so much fun! The staff was excellent, all of our guests were very well taken care of! They were so attentive, kind and just a pleasure to deal with. The food was excellent, we had a plated dinner, and everyone LOVED it. We booked this venue with no reviews on The Knot and I think it would be helpful to see some feedback, however, I wouldn't have picked another venue for our special day. Worth mentioning that the hotel rooms are gorgeous and look very luxurious. It probably is somewhat rare to have a wedding without any issues or incidents, but we didn't have any of those :) we had a lot of fun and enjoyed everything to the fullest! This is a beautiful venue that I absolutely recommend!
