Led by husband-and-wife duo Channing and Nathan, The Lawyer's Overlook is a family-run wedding venue that aims to make you and your loved ones feel right at home. There, couples will be treated to a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces where they can host their ceremony and reception. Choose from two wedding-in-the-woods locations, with each one featuring gorgeous arbors and platforms and space for 100-150 guests. Both of these beautiful ceremony spaces are shaded by tree canopies, keeping you and your guests comfortable. Inside, the house can seat intimate dinner parties of up to 24 individuals. Tents can be set up on the field for larger receptions, while the indoor and outdoor spaces can be combined to accommodate additional guests. No matter which spaces you make your own for the duration of your festivities, you’ll enjoy naturally stunning backdrops at every turn.
The team at The Lawyer's Overlook prides itself on providing a unique and affordable event space, ideal for everything from your wedding shower to the reception. Before the big day begins, you and your wedding squad can make use of the suites, where you can relax and prepare for the day ahead. The home’s lower level is a relaxing space to hang out before or after the wedding, while the pool patio and front porch can be utilized for rehearsal dinners and more. You and several guests can stay in the lower level bedroom and the charming cabin, while additional guests can find nearby accommodations in La Grange. Overall, this spacious setting is the perfect blank canvas to be decorated in any wedding theme or style. Ideal for DIY couples, this Kentucky wedding venue allows the use of outside vendors, letting you create a celebration all your own. The team would be happy to offer a preferred vendor list and looks forward to welcoming you for a celebration to remember.

Hi! I am Channing Stewart. I wear many hats around here - I am a high school English teacher by day, and a momma, a goat farmer, and a venue manager the rest of the time. I love all my roles here at our farm and at our venue, I love working with people, and I most certainly hope to help you create beautiful memories here at The Lawyer's Overlook.
The Stewart family farm was purchased in the 1970's by John and Mary Stewart. The 200+ acres has served as a campground, a cattle farm, a tobacco farm, and is currently an active tree farm and we run our hobby goat farm here as well. We lost both of Nathan's parents in 2021, and in an effort to honor John and Mary and to keep the farm intact, Nathan and I opened The Lawyer's Overlook.
My husband, Nathan, and I have worked tirelessly to create a unique space at The Lawyer's Overlook that embodies his parent's style, their charisma, and their love of entertaining. Our venue is a canvas of sorts for your special day, and we look forward to curating a memorable and special event for you! We welcome couples and families of all types on our farm at our venue. We are flexible and easy to work with, and we promise to work to make your event everything you desire it to be!
