This place is amazing!! We were able to host our bridal parties, have a rehearsal dinner, and our wedding all in one place. Tabitha makes you feel at home and was incredibly helpful with the entire process. 10/10 review and would highly recommend for your big day!
We used the Legacy Building for our wedding and reception space. It is a gorgeous old building that really stood out to us. Tabitha, the owner, was AMAZING! She made sure our day went off without any issues, helped us plan the timeline of events, and gave us tips and tricks to make things go smoothly. She genuinely cared about us and got to know us throughout our planning process. We were able to have the wedding party stay on-site in the Central Estate, which was so helpful for us! We were able to decorate on Friday and clean up on Sunday without being rushed for time. All of the staff were great as well! I highly recommend the Legacy Building!
Loved the history the building has to offer and how beautiful the venue is and tabitha the owner was so helpful and accommodating and helped with anything she could the bar staff were helpful and professional and we had a blast at the legacy building
Tabitha is the best. I never had to worry. She was with us every step of the way. By the end of planning she became like family to us! The venue is Stunning! Everything was perfect because of tabitha.
My husband and I were the first couple to ever book a wedding at The Legacy Building - and we're so glad we did! When we ultimately chose The Legacy Building as our venue, there was still a lot of construction work to be done on the outside (like the back patio area), as well as the attached Airbnb suites. While we were a little nervous about that stuff, Tabitha and her husband Ty sold us on their vision for the property and we thought it would be pretty exciting (and unique) to get in on the ground floor of the restoration/preservation project they're carrying out (it's worth noting that although we were the first couple to book a wedding there, we weren't actually the first wedding held there; we originally scheduled our wedding out a year-plus from when they first opened).
Unfortunately COVID made us postpone things from our original date of June 2020 to June 2021, but Tabitha could not have been nicer or more accommodating to work with during that time; most importantly, she showed empathy towards our situation. In terms of our actual wedding itself, Tabitha and her staff (specifically Thayre) were well organized, attentive and provided helpful guidance as we planned things and went through the day (one of the best parts of booking The Legacy Building was the latitude that Tabitha allows in customizing the space, along with the freedom to choose outside vendors). In the end, despite having to postpone our special day, everything ended up working out better than we could have ever hoped.
Since we first saw the venue two-plus years ago, Tabitha and Ty have made significant improvements to the property and it appears to be taking off as a wedding venue now, which is awesome to see. We couldn't be happier with our decision to book there (side note: your photographer will love it, too) and we're excited to see what the future holds for The Legacy Building!
Amazing venue! Amazing prices! Lots of options! The venue is beautiful and has lots of rooms for different options. Tabitha the owner is super helpful and will go out of her way to help with anything. The prices are very reasonable especially considering you can provide your own alcohol and catering. The airbnb's upstairs are very cool and convenient. The exposed brick and vintage decor make for great photo opportunities. Definitely highly recommend for your wedding or any function!
Hidden amongst the cornfields is this amazing historic gem in central IL. With its exposed brick walls and original wooden floors it oozes romance with every room! Tabitha and her family are eager to help coordinate your special day. Amazing venue and even better owners!!! You won’t be disappointed! They were literally the best to work with.
Gorgeous venue!! Amazing TLC by the owners!! This summer, I coordinated the wedding of my niece and her fiancé; The Legacy Building was the magnificent venue of choice and it was the backdrop for a magical wedding! Ty and Tabitha, the owners, went far above and beyond our expectations to not only meet all our needs with the building, but even swooped in and assisted us when we were short- handed on wedding day!!! The beauty of the building is only out done by the warm hospitality and helpfulness of the couple who owns it! I *highly recommend* The Legacy Building where you can use your own creativity to make your dream wedding come true!
The Legacy Building was the first venue we toured and the first "Check-List Item" we booked for our daughter's wedding. Tabitha and Ty were WONDERFUL to work with from beginning to end! Tabitha took time to meet with us several times during the months of planning; each time answering questions, giving suggestions, and accommodating our requests. The Legacy Building is beautiful and was exactly what our daughter imagined for her reception.
Renovated Opera House from the late 1800’s, in Central Illinois! Perfect for a 150-200 person elegant wedding reception. To die for chandeliers, exposed brick stage, and high rounded ceilings. Five star facility. Must see!
