The Legit Band

The most amazing wedding band you could find!! =) My boyfriend and I had seen them at our friends wedding and 2 years later when we were engaged we knew exactly who we wanted to play at our wedding - it was the first thing we had decided on (the venue, etc. came way later). Ron took us out to dinner to get to know us as a couple before agreeing to play for us and we made sure to pick a date they were available. I continue to use Legit for holiday gatherings, formal dinners, functions, and galas that I plan for work.

If you're looking for a top tier wedding band to keep your guests dancing all night, Legit is THE band for it! My wife and I hired Legit to play for our wedding on Cape Cod this past June (2022), and we couldn't be happier with how much they added to the night. As trained musicians ourselves, she and I have a high standard when it comes to the caliber of a live band, and Legit exceeded both of our expectations entirely! The set list was perfect, with a great flow between dinner and dancing. Ron made the planning process so easy for us, and delivered on all of our requests leading up to the day; between a list of specific songs that we had wanted for our entrance and family dances, and several additional 'family-tradition' moments unique to us that we wanted to have. The lead singers were incredible MC's for the evening, and kept guests engaged and dancing the whole night. They even handled multiple electrical hiccups from the venue (an early 1900's estate home with limited power) like total professionals. If you can't already tell by this review, we can't speak highly enough of Legit. We're still getting compliments months later from guests on how awesome the band was, and of all the weddings we've been to (despite being a little biased now), we haven't seen any band do it better than Legit! We highly recommend anyone planning a wedding in the greater Boston/New England area to hire Legit Band, they'll be the best vendor choice you make!

The best part of a wedding that can be added is a live band. The best all time live band you can hire is Legit!!! Hands down, they will keep your party jumping and tailor your special day to you. The horns, the drums, the keyboard, the guitars and two singers will be the hit of the day...outside of the couple of course! The showpersonship is absolutely amazing. The level of professionalism is unparalleled and the music is incredible. This band did not stop all night long and kept this dance floor crowded with all different genre of music. As the father of three daughters, I knew multiple weddings were to be in my future someday. When Daughter #1 said, “Papa, its time for me to say, ‘I Do’, the planning began. One important item on the list was the reception music, and we all agreed live musicians were preferred. But who and how do we find them? After searching, the Mother of the Bride found very positive reviews for Legit Band, and we attended one of their Showcase events. Hired the band on the spot and Ron became irreplaceably helpful in advising the sequence of events. On the day, the reception was smooth and fun, and most of the credit should go to the input of Legit before and during the wedding. Their musical talent was spot on, professional, and quite diverse. Legit offered to learn a new song for each wedding which was important to the bride and groom and added a very personal touch for them. Our guests got the vibe Legit was having fun as well as entertaining the guests, and it was quite infectious. With Daughter #1 done, it was her sister’s turn to step up to the plate. While we offered Daughter #2 a clean slate, she said, “Why change, you have a winning formula”. The difference this time was we added Legit for the ceremony music as well. Legit hit it out of the park again and was instrumental in pulling off another successful wedding event. Daughter #3’s turn came shortly thereafter, and without hesitation, she insisted we hire Legit and schedule her wedding date around their availability. Legit again provided the most memorable event for the bride, the groom, and all the guests. Two of the most unique aspects of having Legit as our “family” wedding band was: 1) they set the standard for all my daughter’s friends to compare other weddings they have attended before and since. I have heard from numerous attendees that none, and I repeat none, compared to exciting atmosphere supplied by Legit. 2) From a father’s perspective, it is become a little-known fact that a great way to keep the liquor tab under control is by having everyone on the dance floor and not hanging out at the bar. The only time Legit’s dance floor was not filled was during the dinner and cake cutting. While not a proven accounting axiom, I am convinced a lower bar tab offset some of the of differential of hiring Legit over an everyday DJ. While this is a lengthy review, I believe Legit is a major reason each one of my daughters will cherish their wedding day for the next 50+ years. This was my over-riding goal, and I am indebted to Legit for assisting me to accomplish this significant objective. I am honored to have the opportunity to offer this review.
