The Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina

We viewed several venues, and upon meeting Maggie at the Lighthouse and touring the property, we immediately felt that our vision was in good hands. Maggie guided us early on and made us feel confident in bringing what we envisioned to life. Not only was the Lighthouse local for our families, but it had everything we could have asked for and more. You name it: vineyard, palm trees, boats, outdoor areas, indoor areas, roses, and much more. There was a place for everyone to enjoy: a dance floor, outdoor lawns and indoor spaces. We ended up having the most beautiful and stress-free day at this venue. It was so beautiful on its own that it required minimal decor. But the additional decor and activities provided by our coordinator Crystal were the perfect supplement to the already incredible venue. Crystal made us feel heard and like she knew exactly what we wanted and how to bring it to life. The Lighthouse Team was incredible and made planning so easy. The recommended vendors were all amazing and made the day run so smoothly. The coordination provided by the Lighthouse team, especially Crystal + Maggie, made our day completely stress free. They went above and beyond for us and we could not be more grateful. As we were already married, we went into this day expecting a low pressure, fun celebration with our family and friends. But there was something about having the opportunity to celebrate with all of our friends and family and feel all their love that made us feel more married than we did after our small ceremony in March. We left more in love with each other and with more love for all those who celebrated with us. And we truly truly would not have been able to experience that and have such a perfect day at the perfect venue without the support of the amazing staff at The Lighthouse. We are so grateful to everyone there, Crystal, Maggie, Alma, and all the Lighthouse team. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would. We will definitely seek out the Lighthouse for any future events we may have. :)

nue was, by far, the most difficult to work with. Planning a wedding takes a great deal of coordination and cooperation between the venue and the planner. This venue appeared to have a single focus and that was to make the event difficult if we used vendors that were not on their preferred list. The constant shaming because we didn't use their vendors was brought up over and over again. Every other venue coordinator at other weddings I have done made the effort to help and assist when possible no matter who was tending bar or catering. By the way.. you will have to pay 1500 dollars extra to use your own vendor. The venue coordinator appeared to believe her job was to tell us things would not go well if we didn't fork out the money for their preferred vendors, constantly reminding us that we would have less problems if we used vendors on the preferred list. This added a great deal more stress to the process that was not appreciated. From the beginning we let Maggie know that the bride and groom were on a tight budget, and this was a “Do it Yourself” wedding. In the beginning, before you sign, she seems so sweet and accommodating, but once your deposit is paid things change rapidly. The venue is also not great for a party {as the dance floor is separate from the dining and the lounge area} if you don't want the dancing time split into several parties. The inside area is very segregated by walls and pillars and made many people leave the dance floor and go outside which broke the party in half. They also have MANY restrictions. I lost $250 dollars of my deposit because I had bubbles at the ceremony. The venue coordinator Maggie was there from 10 am and the ceremony was at 3:30 the bubbles were on the welcome table at 11am. Why would they not look at the tables to make sure everything was good? Because they like taking your deposit money! They could easily have sent an email the week before reminding the couple of all 20 things on the restrictions list since the contract was read a year prior, but no, because they want your deposit money. I have never written a bad review about any of the venues I have worked with before always 5 stars but I'm sorry this had to be done to hopefully spare you from working with this snobby restrictive venue.

l! Crystal, Maggie, Alma, and the entire staff were so great to work with and so very helpful. The stress relieved off of me as the Mother of the Bride was incredible! We had wedding coordination with Maggie and Crystal as part of our package and it was worth every penny! They walked us through the entire process and made great recommendations along the way. The venue was beautiful and required little decor on our part because it is so pretty from every angle. The Inn above the venue was so convenient and comfortable. We booked the Inn for the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding making our experience even better. My daughter and her bridal party were able to relax and get ready together in one spot. I appreciated their preferred venue list. We used 96H Catering (96hbrand.com, Instagram @96Hbrandcatering), amazing food and service, and Strelitza Floral (Instagram @strelitziaflowerco), beautiful flowers. They also pointed us to Chloe's Sweets & Treat's (Instagram @chloes_sweetsandtreats) delicious desserts! I recommend The Lighthouse 100%!

We worked closely with Maggie throughout the whole process. From pre-wedding to the day of, Maggie was very responsive, flexible, and professional. The day of the wedding, Crystal and Maggie were on top of everything, which made the day run smoothly. Overall, we had a great experience working with The Lighthouse team and got so many compliments from our guests! Thank you again Lighthouse Team for making our day so special.

ediately fell in love with the lush greenery, the palm trees, and the view overlooking the water. The Lighthouse felt like a destination even though it's in the Bay Area. It truly is a hidden gem and we got a lot of questions from our guests as to how we found this place. ~ THE VENUE ~ The venue has two lawn areas which naturally lend themselves to a ceremony or cocktail hour space. It's absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony on the East Lawn (smaller lawn area to the left when facing the Lighthouse from the parking lot). It has a downward slope which made for an ampitheater like setting. We used the green palms as a backdrop for our ceremony and to be honest - it's beautiful as is even without decor. The bigger lawn area is where we had our Cocktail hour and it was the perfect setting and large enough to host 92 guests. We wanted an all in one space where we could have the ceremony and reception at one place, and the Lighthouse offered that. The indoor banquet hall fit our guest count and the windows all around gave a spectacular view to the marina and the sun set. The only downside is the four pillars that hold up the Lighthouse as it does block the view in certain angles especially when my husband and I had our first dance; however, guests got out of their seats to have a closer look. The kitchen also isn't a full kitchen so be aware of this. There's no stove to cook on or to keep food warm, and there is no ice machine. This one didn't really affect us as we had paella catered and everything was done outside on the paella pans and burners. The biggest selling point is the inn upstairs which accommodates up to 8 guests. Our brothers have younger children and we knew that this would be most convenient for them as the kids nap/are in need of a diaper change/need an area to pump. We had two guests who needed to pump and it was nice to be able to offer a comfortable place for them to do so in privacy without having to take up a bathroom stall in the hall. The inn is well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the decor is tasteful and we loved how history was incorporated in the small touches. It really made for beautiful getting ready photos and was such a pleasure to wake up to a view like that. ~ THE PEOPLE ~ As if the venue is not enough, the people behind the Lighthouse are truly the heart of it all. Crystal, Maggie and Alma like a what lighthouse does, guided us throughout the planning process, checked-in and made sure we were okay throughout the evening. They were so kind through it all and even made sure that my elderly parents were comfortable as mobility is an issue. We booked our vendors based on two things: kindness & connection, and we will never take for granted the hospitality they have offered us both leading up to our Wedding day and on the day-of. Thank you for everything!

ptember 2nd and the manager, Maggie, made this experience extremely stressful for her. Not only on her wedding day, but the entire time leading up to her wedding as well. As the maid of honor, I firsthand witnessed how much this impacted my sister on her special day and all the days leading up to it. With that being said, I would not recommend this venue to anyone. At least not with the current management they have. The venue is very pretty and the Airbnb connected to the venue is extremely convenient, but I still do not believe it is worth the hassle and emotional distress of dealing with someone like Maggie. I am unsure if she is like this with everyone or if she just had something against our wedding party. Regardless, she was unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. If you’re paying for a venue like this, especially for what is suppose to be the happiest day of your life, I would assume the experience from start to finish should be nothing less than wonderful. However, You will not find that here. Also, if you are even considering using anything other than what is up to HER standards, she will say things like, “this is not a community center”. I found that very disrespectful to my family. I’m happy we no longer have to deal with her, but am upset that this will forever be a tainted memory for us about my sisters special day. It is appalling to witness an employee of such a respected venue behave in such a manner. I trust that this is not how the Lighthouse at Glen Cove conducts business and that you will take my family and I’s concerns into consideration. Hopefully you will be able to return to your previous level of excellence.

and were so helpful. In the future I cannot wait to hold an event there!

ently attentive, responsive, thoughtful, accommodating and helpful. The venue itself is breathtaking - I needed minimal decor for my event because the grounds are literally that lush and pristine. The Inn, locate above the venue was darling, expertly curated, comfortable and romantic. In fact, everything about my experience with the Lighthouse was romantic - each visit, the planning, and most especially the day of. I've seen photos of weddings at this site of 150 guests - so I was concerned because our guest list was under 70 and I wanted the space to feel full and complete. Like magic, the final outcome was as perfect as any grand event. The planning process was intuitive from beginning to end. The venue has minimal requirements as far as outside vendors - so making our wedding exactly as we wished was a breeze. We will keep this venue in mind for future events, as well as in our hearts forever!

an indoor or outdoor reception! They were able to accommodate our wedding of 160 guests and made the entire planning process as easy as possible. I highly recommend that you use their day of coordination services. We worked with Crystal and she had everything so well organized, it took a lot of the pressure and stress out of the day for me as the bride. She communicated with all of the vendors and really helped us bring together our vision for our special day. The entire Lighthouse staff were so welcoming and made you feel like part of the Lighthouse family! I wish we could relive our perfect day over and over again.

given them 5 if they didn't charge a lot for things that I think should be included in the price. For example, the string light on the east lawn, they charge $500 to turn them on during the summer. During the summer it is getting dark around 7:30 or later. That means you only get to use the light for a couple of hours. Beautiful and great venue. I had an amazing wedding.

e. Our wedding was a success from start to finish. The staff at the lighthouse were extremely helpful and we were very grateful. A definite plus is the fact that apart of the wedding package includes a night stay in the beautiful comfortable inn on the 2nd and 3rd floor and it will definitely make you feel at home and refreshed for the next morning. We definitely recommend The lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina. The staff was always very courteous and always willing to provide help whenever needed to make sure our wedding was a success. We appreciate everything they assisted with making our wedding very memorable.

p picking this as my wedding venue back in December 2016. The whole process up until the end of the wedding day was handled flawlessly and the communication was excellent. Crystal, Marie and Brittanie made it easy to let go and enjoy my wedding day. The grounds are beautiful and kept immaculate. This venue can easily hold 150 people but it was more than enough space for 115 people. You don't really need a lot of decor to make this venue stand out and there a lot of great places to take lots of pictures. The suite upstairs is very spacious and can accommodate quite a few people. Overall the experience was superb and I would not hesitant to book them again for another event.

uresque! we didn't even need to decorate as much! So many different package for the wedding, and could cater to a wide range of your needs! and there's no corkage fee for alcohol! (that's what got us to sign and book them! jk! but really! This place is great! and The ladies of lighthouse are amazing! Brittany, Crystal and Marie were all so helpful and informative all through out the process! We had such a great time! as well as all our guests!!

and outdoor spaces that we were able to use for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and lounge. The fact that it was right on the water and tucked into a cove makes you feel like you're on a private oasis.
