The greatest compliment we received all night was hearing guest after guest tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. As a bride and groom, there's no better feeling than hearing that, and it's a true testament to the incredible venue and the amazing team behind it.
From the moment we booked our wedding at the Lightner, we knew we were in the best hands. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make the planning process feel exciting, organized, and stress-free.
A special thank you to Bailey, who was absolutely incredible throughout the entire journey. She was kind, responsive, patient, and always willing to answer our questions or help us navigate every detail. It truly felt like she cared about making our wedding day as special as we did.
One of my favorite memories from the entire planning process was the bar tasting! It was such a fun, unique experience that gave us the chance to customize our menu while spending quality time together with our family.
On our wedding day, everything ran seamlessly. The venue was absolutely stunning, the staff was attentive and professional, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how wonderful the service was. We were truly able to be present and enjoy every moment because we knew we could trust the team completely.
If you're looking for a venue with exceptional service, an amazing staff, and a team that genuinely wants your day to be perfect, I cannot recommend them enough.

Railroad tycoon Henry Flagler opened the doors to this iconic property in 1888 as the grand Hotel Alcazar. From the very beginning, Ryleigh was a joy to work with. She was organized, thoughtful, and so knowledgeable about every aspect of the venue and wedding logistics. She made the planning process smooth and enjoyable, always available to answer questions and guide us with confidence. On the wedding day, Ryleigh and the entire Lightner team kept everything running flawlessly. We were able to truly relax and soak in every moment, knowing we were in amazing hands.
What truly blew us away, though, was the care and dedication the staff showed when something incredibly important went missing during the celebrations — my grandmother’s diamond necklace that I wore. We didn’t realize it was lost until the next day, but the staff had already found it that night and had safely locked it away. When we inquired, the team and on-site security immediately sprang into action, combing through the venue and even reviewing security footage just to make sure nothing had been overlooked. Their honesty, quick action, and genuine concern meant the world to us — it was such a powerful reminder of how much they care about their couples.
We will forever be grateful for the Lightner Museum and everyone who helped make our day magical, memorable, and full of heart. It’s not just a gorgeous venue — it’s a place filled with people who go above and beyond. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to say “I do.”

e not sure what we were looking for in a wedding venue, but the moment we saw the Lighter, we knew it was the one. People kept asking us why we got married in St. Augustine and our answer was simple - the Lighter. That's how amazing this venue is! Our guests fell in love with it as quickly as we did.
The staff at the Lighter are professional, helpful, and kind. Our event manager, Ryleigh, worked closely with our wedding planner to ensure things ran smoothly day off. She also was extremely accommodating with walk-throughs and always made sure someone was available, even if we were just visiting for fun. The Lighter staff also runs the bar and bar tasting, which was for sure one of the most fun wedding planning tasks! The guests raved about our signature cocktails for weeks after the event.
Overall, the Lighter is an amazing wedding venue and I would 10000% recommend it to anyone looking for a special place for their big day!

the absolute boss queen that she is. We accidentally met Brandy at our bar tasting and immediately loved her. She was extremely personable and professional, but also super relatable and hilarious. When I found out, she was going to be our day of coordinator, I almost died, I knew the day was going to be as perfect as it could be. I really didn’t know the exact vision I wanted for the actual ceremony, but what was the outcome was better than I could’ve ever imagined. As we somehow got behind in the schedule, we were able to extend the night an entire hour, and I somehow had no idea this was even going on. There were hiccups that I had no idea about and I think that’s a testament to Brandy and her team. Every single person who I spoke to about the wedding, was amazed at the venue, no one had never been to a wedding in that kind of environment. The upstairs mezzanine and downstairs dance floor was an incredible amount of space that never felt too overwhelming. I would 100% recommend The Lightner to anyone out there. Thank you guys for making all the wedding dreams I never knew I actually had, come true.

Step three: Brandi rules (not really a step just a fact I guess). Brandi is the owner and is also 10/10. All of my fathers high maintenance requests she made it happen and accommodated every need or what we had. Her whole team is incredible, professional, and organized.
Step four: Bar tasting with Jade. Unfortunately Jade wasn’t able to work our wedding but we had a blast at the tasting with her!

We had very high hopes for this venue and team at the Lightner exceeded our wildest dreams. Not only is the museum stunning, but Katie and Brandy were true lifesavers. Our original wedding date was 10/11/24, the same weekend Hurricane Milton was due to hit Florida. We made the impossible decision to reschedule only days before and it would not have happened without the Lightner Team. Before I even got into town (driving from Tampa in a car filled with wedding goodies and my dog), Brandy and my planners had 90% of my vendors rescheduled for the new date.
They were so incredibly hands on working with our incredible coordinators at Coastal Celebrations (shout out to Lucy and her team) that everything went off without a hitch. They truly had everything outlined from start to finish and made sure it came together seamlessly. Katie was our main coordinator at the Lightner and was pleasure to work with from day one. We had so much fun a tour bar tasting!
I could gush on and on about this incredible place, but this really is your sign to get married at the Lightner. All of our friends and family who made it could not stop talking about the wedding of the year! 1000000/10 once in a lifetime wedding.

ur of the venue, and we loved it immediately. The venue is gorgeous, and the museum aesthetic added so much unique decor and history to our wedding. Throughout the planning process, they provided so many incredibly helpful resources, including vendor recommendations (very useful as we are not local to the area), schedule check lists, and reminders for deadlines. They also have a very active instagram page, posting frequently to their stories, which was wonderful for finding inspiration and vendors. I loved watching wedding recaps every weekend! They were also very professional, making sure plans were in place and working with our scedule to meet/ speak with us. We went into our wedding day feeling very confident with our planning, and our events team rep Ashley was amazing with keeping all our details covered, so much so that the actual day exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely perfect, thank you so much Ashley and Treasury team!

, they really work to make it feel so specific to you and your spouse. Going into our wedding day, we felt so confident and relaxed that Ashley and her team had things covered. They took care of small details such as making a bar sign with our signature drinks all while coordinating the bigger things such as lighting and table arrangements. The Lightner is truly one of the most unique venues I’ve ever seen. Guests loved being able to take a peak at artifacts in the museum as well as overlook the pool area during dinner. My guests are still talking about it weeks later. The indoor option was also an amazing way to escape potential heat, rain, and bugs. Truly a remarkable venue and team!

The highlight of the venue was undoubtedly the unique indoor pool area, which served as the picturesque setting for our ceremony. The sloped design of the pool ensured that every guest had an unobstructed view. It created a magical ambiance that added an extra layer of romance to the occasion.
The upstairs seating arrangement for dinner was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did it offer breathtaking views of the entire venue, but it also allowed guests to comfortably mingle and converse throughout the evening. When the band started playing, the atmosphere was electric as guests could choose to remain upstairs and still enjoy the festivities below. It truly enhanced the sense of togetherness and celebration. The acoustics of the Lightner were great. You could hear the band perfectly.
One of the highlights of the evening was the cocktail hour, which was hosted in a charming location within the museum. Guests had the opportunity to explore the exhibits as they made their way back to the dinner area—a delightful touch that was thoroughly enjoyed by many.
Overall, we cannot recommend the Lightner Museum enough as a wedding venue. The combination of its stunning architecture, versatile spaces, and impeccable service made our special day truly unforgettable. Our photographers were able to take advantage of all of the picture worthy places both inside and outside of the Lightner. If you're looking for a venue that exudes elegance and charm, look no further than the Lightner Museum. You won't be disappointed.

I fell in love with the venue because it was so different from every other wedding venue we had looked into. My guests keep telling me it was one of the best weddings they’d been to! It really was the wedding of my dreams.

pened by certain people on the night of the event. For example, my husband and I did a special toast (in the getting ready room) with our parents at the end of cocktail hour and before the reception. Our parents needed the elevator, but we were unable to access it until a key was provided. It took 15 minutes to find the person with that key so that we were able to use the elevator. Not a HUGE deal, but the day goes by so quick and we were stressed on time so it would have been nice for this to have not been an issue. Make sure someone with a key is with you as much as possible. Second thing I wish we could have changed. It rained on our wedding. I’m not talking a little bit of rain, I’m talking a monsoon! I was devastated as this absolutely ruined any chance we had of taking pictures outside. We only had a permit for pictures at the Lightner during the cocktail hour (when it was still pouring) so we were not allowed to take pictures at the museum until that time. My photographer attempted to get one group photo (under some cover) on the side of museum because I was so upset. We were literally chased out by staff. With how much money we paid to have the wedding there, it would have just been nice to have some grace in order to get a couple of outside pictures at this beautiful venue. I get that it is the policy, again I just wish some grace could have been shown due to the circumstances. The Lightner was beautiful and everything turned out great, just a couple of things I wish would have gone differently!

right people in place to carry out your vision. Lightner did not disappoint. My daughter said she had the wedding of her dreams! They got everything right down to the last detail! The response to all the questions I had throughout this process was extremely fast and they always made us feel that we were the only couple that was getting married there. We never felt rushed and they had so much patience in making sure we understood the process. The bar staff also added to the night. I love how they interacted with the guests and remembered what they were drinking. One bartender found one of my cousins to let him know he just made him a fresh margarita! If the bar staff had time they even brought my husband and I fresh drinks on the dance floor. Everything was just so well done and the evening flowed perfectly. I know when we were looking at venues it was a difficult decision especially when the Lightner is a little pricier, but it was worth every penny. Having access to that unique venue space and the vendors that the Lightner puts you in contact with can ensure that each couple can have a very unique wedding.
Once again shout out to the Lightner Staff for the wonderful job they did! Honestly cannot say enough!

so we immediately looked for wedding venues there after getting engaged. From our first tour with Olivia, we absolutely fell in love with Lightner Museum. She was also extremely accommodating for doing additional tours with our parents with little notice. Not only is the outside architecture stunning, but the exhibits and overall vibe of the Museum gives it that "wow" factor for your wedding! Our guests could not stop talking about how elegant everything looked. We worked with Gianina in the months leading up to our wedding and on our special day. Gianina was extremely professional and organized - but seeing her laugh at our antics during the wedding day made us love her even more! We incorporated Lightner into many elements of our wedding because of how in love with the venue we are - we included custom envelope liners, some guests received vintage Hotel Alcazar postcards from our escort board, and we even did our engagement photos outside the Lightner. I could write so much more about how we loved doing our ceremony inside on a hot Florida evening, or how much we loved doing Cocktail Hour in the ornate and beautiful Grand Lobby, or how the wedding parties loved hanging out in the Suites - but just know that Lightner Museum is a PERFECT wedding venue, and the staff will take such good care of you!!!! Museum went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect! Katie especially did everything she could to ensure everything ran smoothly! The museum has stunning views of St. Augustine from its terrace, making it a perfect setting for any wedding ceremony and/or reception. Additionally, the museum is conveniently located next to some popular attractions like the Castillo de San Marcos fort, giving guests plenty of things to do before and after the big event!
