Do not trust the Lime Truck for your event. I worked with Ethan at The Lime Truck for two years to ensure that our wedding catering would be a success. We booked two trucks, appeti...
zers, and food for 170 people. They promised me that they had emergency plans in place and that all the details were finalized. 30 minutes before I walked down the aisle, I was told that the second truck wouldn't be showing up because of an emergency. While Ethan told me that their two trucks could serve 80 in 30 minutes, it took my guests over an hour and a half to get their first helping of the tacos (we booked unlimited) and some of my friends didn't even get to eat at our wedding (thank God we had planned late night food that saved the day from a caterer). While it was kind of their president to apologize to me for our experience two weeks after the event and for the partial refund, I'm leaving this review to make sure no one makes the same mistake that we did. If they could figure out their business practices, not overbook or over promise, the tacos are actually delicious. Sadly, this is the one part of our wedding I will hope to forget.
We hired these guys for our reception and people loved it! The tacos, apps and lime-aid were all loved. Get the fried artichoke app and you wont regret it! Loved everything they ha...
d and the team they sent was great! Very helpful and helped us (the couple) find time to eat even when that is sometimes impossible at your own wedding. Couldn't have gone smoother!
Holy Guacamole, The Lime Truck is AMAZING!!!! We booked the truck for our wedding and have absolutely no regrets, the appetizers, tacos and churro bites were incredible, the staff ...
was super friendly and flexible. The line went quick at the truck, keeping our guests fed and happy! Such a stellar catering service, we are THRILLED that we booked the Lime Truck!
If you’re looking for elevated Mexican food, look no further than The Lime Truck. TLT was absolutely FANTASTIC-- a complete joy to work with!! Before the event we worked with Ethan...
who was communicative, organized, and quick to make things happen. We were planning a wedding in two months time and this was not a problem at all. The day of the event the truck arrived promptly and was able to turn out delicious food for 150 people with no problem. We had a buffet and people moved through the line quickly-- no back up at any point. All night long (and still weeks after!) people RAVED about how incredible the food was. I cannot recommend The Lime Truck highly enough.
BEWARE! We had to postpone our wedding and all associated events due to COVID. The Lime Truck is the ONLY VENDOR that was unwilling to let us move our deposit (50% of the total co...
st!) to a new date, even though we gave notice more than a month in advance. Will never try to work with them again.
This was/is hands down the best wedding food in the world. Every one of our guests complimented us on our choice saying that they have never had such fantastic food. Not "for a wed...
ding" but in general. The food was A+ as was the service. Could not recommend them enough.
The Lime Truck just catered my wedding in Pioneertown/Joshua Tree, and it was an AMAZING experience. The food was unbelievably good; I just wish I would have been able to eat more ...
of it on my wedding night. Luckily, they packed my husband and me to-go boxes for later that evening before they left.
Our menu included all you can eat for 2 hours of the pulled-poblano chicken taco, potato taco, and carnitas fries. We also had the heavenly greens salad, and Mexican street corn. Everything was delicious and my guests are still raving about it. The truck was ready to go at exactly 7:00 (the expected start time), and arrived early enough to not interfere with my ceremony. Jay was a pleasure to communicate with throughout the entire process, and was quick to email back if I had a question or concern.
I would 100% recommend TLT to anyone in the SoCal area, and we will be heading back to their restaurants any time we're in the Irvine or LA areas.
Thank you!!!!
The food tasted much better when we came in to taste test it. We also paid for unlimited tacos, but at the rate they went mosts guests only got two. Very disappointing experience.
